She was born in Beaver, Utah to Walter & Margery Adams Mackerell. She grew up in Beaver, graduating from Beaver High School. She married Robert Lee Draper on November 1, 1941 in Beaver, Utah and their marriage was later solemnized in the St George LDS Temple. They were the parents of five children. Mildred was blessed with talents including a beautiful singing voice that grace countless funeral, programs and choirs. A self-taught pianist, she played in dance bands and enjoyed playing her organ for herself and others. She had a way with words that she shared with others in both poetry and books. She was a published author. Her artistic talents shone in her many beautiful paintings and wedding cakes. Mildred and Bob designed and built the historical display of old Fort Cameron still on display in the Beaver County Administration Building. She was an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Dorothy Williams Camp. She served in many positions in the LDS Church. She dedicated her life to her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, selflessness, and compassion. She was indeed a loving wife and mother. Survivors include sons, Marlow Lee (Sue) Draper, Raymon Keith (Wendy) Draper, Garth Walter (Kari) Draper all of Beaver, Daughters Zina Lynn Bettridge of Beaver and Laurie Kathryn (Wayne) Ritter of Aztec, New Mexico. She has 25 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren. Sisters Bernice Mackerell, Shirley M. Howard both of Beaver and Margery M. Twitchell of Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Doris, Beaulah, and Laurel, one granddaughter Lynn Marie Gale and one great grandson, Jacob Acker and a son-in-law, Lamont Bettridge. At her request, a graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, July 14, 2005, at Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Originally published July 13, 2005 Ferris R.Morley MILFORD - Ferris R Morley, 78, passed away at his home on July 11, 2005 surrounded by his family. He was born May 1, 1927 in Preston, Nevada to Ferry Stanley & Eva Draper. He married Idonna Thomas and they were later divorced. He then married Ann Kesler on November 7, 1978 in Las Vegas, NV.. Ferris enjoyed working with guns and was somewhat a gun smith. He loved to go hunting and on picnics and cookouts. He also enjoyed reading. He loved perfection and was very artistic. One of his pride and joys was his home. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Ann of Milford, Children, Barbara Hughes of Provo, Dave (Jannie) Morley of Orem, Mike (Mary Ann) Morley of Sandy, Diane Lloyd of Roy, Deborah (Robert) Thompson of Milford, Cindy (Scott) Wiseman of Milford and Rob (Jana) Bolton of Oakley. He has 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. One brother Burl (Ilene) Morley of Garland and a Brother-in-Law Rulon Petty of St George. He was preceded in death by a brother, Max Morley, sisters Bessie Petty and Bliss Johnson a granddaughter Stephanie Goris and his parents. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2005 at 2:00PM at the Southern Utah Mortuary Chapel in Milford. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday at the Mortuary from 12:00PM to 1:30PM. Interment will be in the Milford Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Originally published July 13, 2005 JoAnn (Reeve) Rowland JoAnn (Reeve) Rowland age 55 passed away on Monday, July 11, 2005 in Hurricane, Utah surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born September 24, 1949 in Hurricane, Utah to Gilbert and Thenelda Reeve. She married her high school sweetheart Richard Rowland in the St. George LDS Temple on February 17, 1967. Joann centered her life around her faith, her sweetheart and her family. She was always the peacemaker and loved people. She lived in Hurricane all of her life prior to marriage and loved riding horses and going anywhere her dad went. She had a special love for her mom, dad, sister, and her brothers and was always quick to show them that love. She made many childhood friends that became lifelong friends. After her marriage to Rick they moved to Henderson, Nevada until 1980 when they moved back to Hurricane. It was JoAnn's home and that is where she wanted her children raised. JoAnn worked 16 years in the Hurricane Post Office where all that came in contact with her loved her sweet and loving personality. She then worked in the family business "Supreme Green" until her illness prevented her. While she worked as the Supreme Green phone person many people became acquainted with her loving personality and she continued to make friends all over the valley. She was a member of the LDS church and loved the gospel. She held several positions and loved them all. She especially loved serving in the Relief Society and sharing her love with the sisters. Teaching Sunday School with Rick was special as the two of them taught many years of teenagers and loved them all. JoAnn was very talented at crocheting and shared her talent with many. She loved to make baby blankets, dishtowels, and Afghans. Rick and JoAnn went through life sharing a special bond as they were hardly ever seen apart. They loved to travel and especially loved to RV as they found special spots all over the west. JoAnn loved her family and showed it as she was always preparing big meals for them. She loved Christmas and always made it very special. Her family was the most important thing on this earth to her and she always showed it in her actions. JoAnn is survived by her sweetheart Richard Rowland of Hurricane, Ut., two daughters, Sandy Rose (Travis) of North Ogden, Teresa Beardall (Barry) of Hurricane, Ut.; two sons, Trevor Rowland (Autumn) of Hurricane, Ut., Derrick Rowland (Brittany) of Hurricane, Ut.; 12 grandchildren; her parents Gilbert and Thenelda Reeve of Hurricane, Ut.; one sister Colette Wadsworth of Hurricane, Ut.; two brother Brad Reeve of Panguitch, Ut., and Gordon Reeve of Monticello, Ut. JoAnn was preceded in death by her son Richard D. Rowland Jr. and her special friend her father-in-law Robert Don Rowland. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2005, 11 a.m., at the Hurricane West Stake Center, 270 South 700 West. Family and friends may call on Friday, July 15, 2005, 6-8 p.m. and again on Saturday, July 16, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Both at the Hurricane West Stake Center.
