She was born September 24, 1949 in Hurricane, Utah to Gilbert and Thenelda Reeve. She married her high school sweetheart Richard Rowland in the St. George LDS Temple on February 17, 1967. Joann centered her life around her faith, her sweetheart and her family. She was always the peacemaker and loved people. She lived in Hurricane all of her life prior to marriage and loved riding horses and going anywhere her dad went. She had a special love for her mom, dad, sister, and her brothers and was always quick to show them that love. She made many childhood friends that became lifelong friends. After her marriage to Rick they moved to Henderson, Nevada until 1980 when they moved back to Hurricane. It was JoAnn's home and that is where she wanted her children raised. JoAnn worked 16 years in the Hurricane Post Office where all that came in contact with her loved her sweet and loving personality. She then worked in the family business "Supreme Green" until her illness prevented her. While she worked as the Supreme Green phone person many people became acquainted with her loving personality and she continued to make friends all over the valley. She was a member of the LDS church and loved the gospel. She held several positions and loved them all. She especially loved serving in the Relief Society and sharing her love with the sisters. Teaching Sunday School with Rick was special as the two of them taught many years of teenagers and loved them all. JoAnn was very talented at crocheting and shared her talent with many. She loved to make baby blankets, dishtowels, and Afghans. Rick and JoAnn went through life sharing a special bond as they were hardly ever seen apart. They loved to travel and especially loved to RV as they found special spots all over the west. JoAnn loved her family and showed it as she was always preparing big meals for them.
