She was born May 12, 1943, in St. George, Utah, a daughter of Ted and Agnes Cottam Beacham. She married Robert McGarvie, and to this union were born five children. They later divorced and she married Pete Conner. To this union was born one child, and she and Pete later divorced. Born, raised, and educated in St. George, Dianne graduated from Dixie High School. She had an artistic flair and was always decorating or redecorating something. Dianne was known for her "green thumb," and she spent many hours working in her yard. She loved the Southern Utah area with its majestic red mountains and beautiful State and National Parks. Dianne followed politics and appreciated a lively discussion. A sincere, genuine, unique, spiritual woman with a great sense of humor was how Dianne was known to her friends and family. Her sister, Betty, remembers Dianne as being so understanding of others, always interested in what they had to say, and that she was truly her best friend. She was a wonderful mother and very supportive of her children. She is survived by her children: Michael (Heather) McGarvie, of St. George, UT; Brenda Christensen, of Farmington, NM; the twins, Donald (Alicia) McGarvie, of Hurricane, UT, and Patrick (Kimberly) McGarvie, of LaVerkin, UT; and Jimmy Conner, of St. George, UT; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Eleanor (Wayne) Lee and Betty (Gary) Carter, both of St. George, UT. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Agnes, daughter, Betty McGarvie, and grandson, Daniel McGarvie. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at 12:00 noon at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 2260 E. Red Cliffs Dr., St. George, with viewings Monday, July 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, prior to services, at the Church. Originally published July 23, 2005 William (Billy) Brent Crabtree ST. GEORGE - William Brent Crabtree returned home July 16, 2005 due to complications of his heart. He was born August 20, 1954 in Idaho Falls, ID; beloved son of Richard W. (deceased) and Alleen W. Crabtree. Billy married Marilyn Coffin in Palm Springs, California on October 28, 1978. They had a handsome boy, Brent William Crabtree, who still resides in Palm Springs. Billy and Marilyn divorced in 1993. Billy's gift to the world was his awesome personality, which enabled him to make people laugh and be entertained. He was a hard worker and skilled at many different trades. He was a born salesman. Billy was a people person and loved to be around others. He liked to fish, camp and BBQ. He was living in Springdale, UT where he loved the beautiful surroundings and appreciated each new day. Billy is survived and will be greatly missed by his mother, Alleen Crabtree; his son, Brent (Athena) Crabtree; his older brothers, David (JoAnn) Crabtree and Richard (Debra) Crabtree; and his little sister, Allison Crabtree. His niece Aimee Morgan loved him unconditionally giving hugs always, followed by many nieces and nephews. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Richard, sister, Stephanie, and twin brother, Bobby who are all united once again. Services will be a private family affair. GEORGE - Lehi Delgado, age 5 months, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2005, at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born February 21, 2005, in St. George, Utah, to Delmi L. Delgado. Lehi was the love of his mother's life. She called him her "Angel." He was a precious, beautiful, charming, and very happy little boy. Lehi is survived by his: mother, Delmi; brother, David Deras Delgado; sister, Eliza Charmain Delgado; uncles, Manuel DeJesus Escalante, Jos‚ David Castro Escalante, Jos‚ Mauricio Castro Escalante, and Mario Delgado; aunts, Ma Virginia Pereida Escalante and Laura Espinoza; and cousin, Erika Delgado. Originally published July 23, 2005 Valere Mildred Graham English TOQUERVILLE - Valere Mildred Graham English, age 72, died July 21, 2005, at her home in Toquerville accompanied by family and friends. She was born April 26, 1933 in Union, Utah, the first child in a family of three to Floyd Eugene Graham and Mildred Ione Nelson. After a four year courtship mainly by mail as he served in the U.S. Air Force, she married Lysle R. English on the February 27, 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized on May 11, 1953, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1951 and never ceased to seek learning. She was always active in the LDS Church where she served in the Primary, Relief Society and Sunday School. She was an avid genealogist. As her family grew she became a Beautician and Barber and worked in many shops in different locations where they were assigned as an Air Force Family. She arranged her work to be home when the children left for school and back home before they came home. She loved to hear the door open and the words "Mom, I'm Home." She believed cleanliness was next to Godliness. She believed you should make the bed before you left your room even at motels when you traveled. She encountered many medical problems during her life but beat the Doctors predictions by 41 additional years. She loved to travel and had her share of moving with her family around the world. The family was always her top priority. After pleading with her doctor for two years, he finally allowed her to serve a Nevada, Las Vegas LDS Mission (1997-98) with her husband. She influenced many for the good, helping bring 16 souls into the fold of Christ. She is survived by her sister Tracy (Bowman), her husband Lysle and all of her children: Tynya, Lysle (Annette), Paul (Margie), Robert (Lori), Kathy (Jimmy) Scarfo, David (Michelle), Alma (Christi), Mark (Lisa); 47 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her father Floyd, her mother Mildred, her step father Don Morris, and her twin brothers, Floyd and Lloyd Graham. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 25, 2005, at 11 a.m., at the Toquerville LDS 1st Ward Chapel, 79 N. Toquerville Blvd. A visitation will be held Sunday, July 24, from 6-8 p.m., and Monday, July 25, from 9:3010:30 a.m., prior to services at the chapel. Originally published July 23, 2005 Karen Ann Morrell KANARRAVILLE - Our beloved mother, sister and loved one, Karen Ann Morrell, age 58, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2005 at Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City after a sudden illness. She was born on July 29, 1946 in San Francisco, California to Captain Truitt Oscar and Geraldine Sarah Tait Morrell. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many callings such as the Kanarraville scout master. She was very talented in working many different careers such as a TWA Airline flight attendant, Cedar City Chamber of Commerce, Utah Shakespearean Festival, Zion National Park, and Kanarraville town clerk. Her hobbies that she enjoyed were seeing good movies, television, watching the Oscars, gardening, traveling and reading. She adored her two sons. She had a passion for the rich and famous but held more class as a person. Karen is survived by her two sons, Jeff (Kelli) Morrell Olson of Cottonwood Heights, Utah, and Brandon Tait Olson of Las Vegas, Nevada, one grandson, Ryan Guy Olson of Bountiful, Utah, and one brother, Steven Russell Morrell of Las Vegas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Captain Truitt and Geraldine Morrell. Funeral services will be held at the Kanarraville Ward Chapel on Saturday afternoon, July 23, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Kanarraville Cemetery. Steven was the type of man that we all wish we could become. He is survived by three children: Steven, Jr., Scott Ryan and Angela; sister, Sheila Rogers, brother, Clifford; four nieces; two nephews; and five great nieces.
