She was born on June 26, 1937 in Spring City, Utah to Kent and Faure Anderson. She married Robert F. Brown on June 14, 1956 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Loretta grew up in West Valley, Utah and graduated from Cyprus High School. After marrying, she moved to Cedar City where she worked for 20 years in several banks and retired from S.U.U. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she held many callings. She was very spiritual and had great faith. Any- one who knew her would agree that she was the most loving and kind person they had met. Loret- ta was a strength to her family and friends. She was very proud of her children and grandchil- dren, their accomplishments, tal- ents and valiant spirits. They were the center of her life and she was theirs. She expressed her love for them often through words and actions. She is survived by her loving husband Robert, daughters Shel- ly (Bryant) Haggen of Colorado Springs, CO, Kristen (Shawn) Stapel of Cedar City, UT; grand- children, Jarom, McKenzie (Scott) Adams, Chase and Aaron Haggen; McKael, Caleb, Kaitlyn, and Kennedy Stapel; one great grandson, Mason Adams; broth- ers and sisters, Orson (Yvonne) Anderson, Zelma (Byron) Chris- tensen, Donna (John) Gillmer, Terry (Terry) Anderson, and Lee (Leona) Anderson. She was pre- ceded in death by her parents and son Michael Thayer Brown. Burton Child, 86, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at the Heritage Park Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 2, 1919, in Ogden, Utah, to Nephi Albert and Mary N. Flinders Burton. She attended Ogden City Schools. On February 17, 1937, Netta married Mark Lynne Child in Og- den, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on February 15, 1964. Mark passed away December 5, 1991. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the gospel. Netta and Mark served two LDS missions to West Virgin- iažOhio and Las Vegas. They al- so served in the Ogden LDS Temple. She loved people unconditional- ly. Netta is survived by four sons and two daughters, Sharon (Loy- al) Child, West Haven; Myron (Geri) Child, Portland, OR; Fran- cis (Diane) Child, Syracuse; Judy (Ron) Pierce, Farr West; Mark E. Child, Ogden; Rodney (Judy) Child, West Haven; 22 grandchil- dren; 65 great-grandchildren and four more on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and four brothers. GEORGE / TEASDALE, UTAH - William Lell Heaps, beloved Husband, Dad and Grandpa, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2005 after a valiant battle with cancer and complications of diabetes. He was born August 3, 1931 in Bicknell, Utah, a son of Lorenzo and Wanda Fern Chidester Heaps. He married his Sweetheart, Ann Maxfield on June 5, 1951 in the Manti LDS Temple, sealed for time and all eternity. Together they raised a family in righteousness and love. Lell was a dedicated servant of our Father in Heaven throughout his life and served as Ward Clerk for four Bishops. He was a renowned musician. As a member of the Poverty Bench Boys, he used his beautiful singing voice to entertain, enrich and heal the lives of those who heard him. He was a skilled carpenter. His fireplace mantles grace homes from California to Washington DC. He served the Lord on building missions throughout the Western U.S. as well as Hawaii and Michigan. Lell is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ann Heaps, of St. George; seven children: Tim Heaps of Agoura Hills, CA; Cynthia and Al Medina of Chatsworth, CA; Bev- erly and Bryant Davis of Albu- querque, NM; Karen and Paul Cloward of Herriman, UT; LaWanda Davis of Riverton, UT; Bryan and Raven Heaps; Loralee and Forrest Christian of Helena, MT; and 15 grandchildren; all who will remember him with love, gratitude and joy for the life that he so richly lived. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 1, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. in the Loa LDS Stake Cen- ter. GEORGE - Virginia Smith Musser died peacefully in the arms of her children on Wednes- day, July 27, 2005 in St. George, Utah. Virginia was born in Logan, Utah on December 14, 1920, to David Winter Smith and Evelyn Lowry Smith. Virginia has had a life filled with service. She started early learn- ing all the homemaking arts and participating in 4H club where she won national honors with her canning. Her stories of adventures with her two brothers have inspired children and grandchildren through the years and will always be remembered. Virginia attended the University of Utah where she met Barr McCune Musser. They were mar- ried on July 22, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They both continued their studies and grad- uated while expecting their sec- ond child. Together Barr and Virginia raised five daughters and one son who were always the best dressed because of Virginia's sewing tal- ents. The family has wonderful memories of family time together and a rich heritage of love and service to live up to. In 1972, after the untimely death of her sweetheart, she went to work at J.C. Penney and worked the next 28 years to finish raising her family and continued teach- ing her children. During that time she was called to serve a two year mission in the LDS Church's Pilot Genealogy Extrac- tion Program, where she contin- ued serving for the next 28 years. Also during that time she was a weekly temple attender. At the age of 76, Virginia served a mission for the LDS Church to London England following in the footsteps of her great grandfather Samuel H. Smith, who was the first missionary to the church. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Barr McCune Musser, her grandchildren Aaron Micah Jaynes, Aaron Scott West, Benjamin Jay West and Alissa Michelle Saad. She is survived by her brothers, Lowry Smith and Glen Smith, and by her children: Janine Musser West, Linda Lee Musser, Cynthia Musser Jaynes, Wynona Musser, Virginia Gay Musser Ja- cobs, and David Alan Musser. She is also survived by 30 grand- children, 44 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and a host of others who love her and cherish their earthly time with her. Funeral services will be held Sat- urday, July 30, 2005, at 10 a.m., at the St. George LDS West Stake Center, 1285 N. Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. She was born December 22, 1910 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Earnest Franklin Clark and Cora Louise McCombs. Evva was raised in Colorado and Oregon with her brothers Clyde, Ralph, and Bob. The family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1921. She married her husband Natha- niel Covington Stringham in Port- land, Oregon on October 15, 1938. Marriage later solemnized in the Cardston Alberta Canada Temple in 1946. They raised their four sons in Portland, OR, Glendora, CA, and Riverside, CA. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to husband and family. Her incredible love and knowledge of the Gospel made her an outstanding Sunday school teacher. She loved flow- ers and gardening and caring for her home. She is survived by three sons and their families, Clark & Bar- bara Stringham of Sandy, Utah; Dean & Maxine Stringham of St. George Utah; Richard & Mary Ann Stringham of Sunny Vale, California; and Daughter-in- law Deborah Carey Stringham of Fremont, California; 18 grandchil- dren and 32 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, broth- ers and son, Roger Stringham. Special thanks to the Dean & Maxine Stringham family, the Shane & Kriss Hunter family, Geri Nowack, and Alyson Brader who cared for her so lovingly until her peaceful end.
