His final days were spent surrounded by his loving and caring family and friends. Steven was born February 9, 1942 in Fountain Green, Utah to Osmond C. and Idena J. Crowther. He loved his home town and all of his brothers and sisters. He spent his junior school years in Fountain Green and his High School years at North Sanpete High, where he was the senior class president. He worked hard earning his MBA and Electrical Engineering degrees at the U of U. He loved to play the trumpet, and has entertained many people from dances and competitions, to playing for his family and friends. While in college, Steven was set up on a blind date with a beautiful girl named Pamela Snow. He was lucky enough to marry her for eternity on March 10, 1971 in the Manti Temple. They had seven closely knit children: Tera, Samuel, John, Rebecca, David, Ann and Idena. Steven and Pam together successfully established Computer Service of Southern Utah and Cedar Storage Rentals. Through the years, Steven has been known for his hearty laugh, hard working nature, dedication to Church service, and his love of family and friends. He enjoyed playing tennis, and spent hours of fun on the lake waterskiing. He is greeted in Heaven by his parents, son John, brother and sisters, and many ancestors whom he has researched through genealogy. He is survived by his adoring wife Pam, loving children and their spouses; Glory, Tyler and Shelley, granddaughter Jordan, brother Frank and sister Carolyn Shinn. We will miss him dearly. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Prostate Cancer research fund of your choice. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 8th, 12:00 p.m. at the Cedar City 2nd/8th Ward Chapel (212 W. 200 S.). A viewing will be held Tuesday, June 7th, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Southern Utah Mortuary in Cedar City and prior to services from 10:30-11:30 on Wednesday morning at the church. GEORGE - Kenneth Keith , age 89, died June 4, 2005, in St. George, Utah. He was born September 8, 1915, in Granville County, North Carolina to Arthur and Lizzie Keith. He married LaBerta Keith who preceded him in death. He later married Irene Bullock Keith. Keith was a member of the Shiners and Mason's. He and his brother's and sisters were raised in the Oxford Masonic Orphanage, in Oxford, North Carolina. He is survived his wife, Irene Bullock Keith of St. George, UT., two sisters: Tessie Mae Reid of Bridgewater, NJ., Zella Chummly of Lynchburg, VA., and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters; Sally Tasker, Hazel Turner, two brothers; Joseph Keith, Arthur Lee Jones. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2005, 10 a.m., St. George City Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 8, from 9-9:45 a.m., at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. Originally published June 7, 2005 Sharon Charles Lamb ORDERVILLE - Sharon Charles Lamb, age 80, lifetime resident of Southern Utah, passed away June 3, 2005 at his home in Orderville surrounded by his family. He was born on February 19, 1925 in Mt. Carmel, Utah to Osmer and Lela Clark Lamb. He married Lorene Crawford on September 15, 1955 for time and all eternity in the St. George LDS Temple. They worked side by side in raising two daughters, Nancy (Ross) Guymon of Smithfield, Utah and Jeanne (Brigham) Johnson of St. George, Utah. He and Lorene have nine grandchildren who honor the heritage they have been given by their grandparents. He would have celebrated his 50th Anniversary with Lorene this September. Sharon was raised in Mt. Carmel and was an Army Veteran of World War II. He had a deep affection for his family and the land he called home in Long Valley. He was a rancher and also drove water and logging truck on the Kaibab Mountain for 31 years. He owned and operated the Orderville Motel with his family for 20 years, and spent time throughout his life building and improving his Mt. Carmel farm and Alton ranch. He was a hard worker, and was known for meticulous management of resources during his service as President of the Mt. Carmel Irrigation Company for several decades. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sharon enjoyed his associations through service as ward financial clerk, member of the Mt. Carmel Ward Bishopric, Sunday school president, and other callings. He will be remembered for his steady commitment to live each day fully, his tireless worth ethic, his strength of character, and the circle of love he has generated by a shining example for his posterity. In addition to his wife, daughters and grandchildren, Sharon is survived by brothers and sisters Mardon (Geraldine, deceased) Lamb of Northridge, CA, Lorena (Robert) Lambert of Salt Lake City, UT, Clark (Florene) Lamb of Mt. Carmel, UT, Dalene (Dave) Fackrell of Sale Lake City, UT, Carolyn (Koyle) Cram of Springville, UT, and sisters-in-law Ruth Lamb of Cedar City, UT and Farel Sorenson of Orderville, Utah. He was preceded in death by brothers Merl, Rdean, Glen, LaMoin, Darel and sisters Lucille Brinkerhoff, Faun Cameron, Rose Levanger and Luana Clark. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 2005 at 1:00 PM at the Orderville Utah LDS Chapel. Viewings will be held Thursday evening from 7:00-8:00 PM at Mosdell Mortuary and Friday from 11:30-12:45 PM at the Chapel.
