GEORGE - Donna was born 3rd child, 2nd daughter of Alma and Don Thrash in Berwick, Pa. Moved to San Diego, Ca. at 9 years due to Rheumatic fever. Donna completed school in San Diego. While in high school, she met a young man, Kay Mallory, who introduced her to LDS way of life. They dated through high school and Kay's father George baptized Donna. Kay went on mission. Donna got married, to Clearance Taylor, pregnant and the marriage was dissolved because it wasn't legal. Our 1st son was 2 months old before I med Donna and David. The world had not seen a more beautiful, handsome, terrific, and delightful baby. Actually, Donna and I were introduced at a Saturday night Stake dance by her friend Nancy Buress whom wanted Donna's opinion about me. The next step was to find out if I could dance with her. I proposed marriage 4 months later at a dance. We were married and sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. Donna and I had David sealed to us. 6 weeks after our marriage, I swam to South East Asia for seven and a half months. We did not like that at all. What made it worse was Donna sent me a picture of her in a swimsuit. Our first 4 children were born in the San Diego area, David, Jeffrey, Heidi, and Kris. Donna had horrible morning sickness with pregnancies but the births were not real difficult. Heather was born in Ogden, Utah, Eric in the old Coolidge Hospital in Brigham City, Utah and Jerome in New Brigham City Community Hospital. Donna loved to dance, travel, shop, and western movies. Donna had very low self esteem but was very smart and her self esteem soared to upper limits when she became manager of a new convince store in Brigham City. Donna had some health problems, severe migraine headaches, fibremialga, and an irregular heartbeat. Two or three years after we retired in 1998, Donna started having trouble with memory loss. Alzheimer's disease was diagnosed and her conditions worsened rapidly. Our youngest son and I were privileged to be holding Donna's hands when uttered her last breath. Thank you Lord for this great blessing, Eternal Love, Elmer F.
