Knight ST. GEORGE - Dennis "Denny" G. Knight of St. George, UT passed away on March 3, 2005. He was born February 7, 1936 in Minneapolis, MN where he graduated from De La Salle High School. He then worked for N.W. Bell Telephone Co. (now Qwest) for 31 years. After retiring in 1983 he moved to California where he lived until moving to St. George in 1997. He was a member of Dixie Newcomers and Friends of the Library in St. George as well as in Grand Marais, MN, where he spent summers. Denny loved books and was an avid collector. Some of his happiest times were spent discussing books and authors with his friends and family, along with volunteering with The Friends of the Library. He was a loving and supportive husband and father, proud of his children. Denny is survived by his wife, Jeanne; children, Shelley Reehling of Onalaska, WI, Susan Linton of Hugo, MN and Daniel Knight of Monticello, MN; stepsons, Christopher Brown of Jasper, GA and Jason Brown of Brentwood, CA; and four grandchildren. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Legacy Clubhouse located at Tonaquint and Sir Monte Dr., St. George, UT on Saturday, March 5, 2005, 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. George Friends of the Library. Originally published March 5, 2005 Rhoana T. Workman PANGUITCH - Rhoana Tait Workman, 80, passed away March 3, 2005 at her home in Panguitch with her family around her. She was born May 31, 1924 in Panguitch to Emery Huntsman and Weltha Workman Tait. She married Everett Johnson, they later divorced. She married Ray Workman, July 23, 1950 in Elko, Nevada. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple June 14, 2002, he preceded her in death October 10, 1979. Rhoana was an excellent cook and shared her bounty with many. She loved to crochet and quilt. She was a loving mother, grandmother and was and excellent care giver. She enjoyed going to family reunions and being with her family. She was an active member of the LDS Church and a member of the DUP. She is survived by daughters, Karen (Marvin) Neilson of Carlin, NV, Mickey (Bryce) Syndergaard of Ferron; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lola Williams of Indianola, ReNee Nelson and Gayle Syndergaard, both of Salt Lake city, DaNece Fickett of Layton; brothers, Stan (Kay) Tait of Sandy, Jon (Linda) Tait of Magna; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Johnson of Carlin, NV. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; son, Max E. Johnson; brother and sisters, Emery W. "Bud", Ora Vargo, Edith Sawyer, June Payne and Lenna Robinson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 7, 2005 at 12:00 Noon in the Panguitch 3rd LDS Ward Chapel, 200 North 400 East, where friends may call on Monday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Hatch Cemetery.
