Born March 20, 1914 in Chilly, Idaho. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Leavitt Bracken Farnworth; children, Shirlene (Perry) Hutchings of Fillmore, UT, Raymond (Barbara) Farnworth of Arlington, WA., Arlene (Brent) McGregor of Springville, UT. Originally published March 7, 2005 Rachel Terece Bundy Rachel Terece Bundy, age 9, of Springville, Utah, returned to the arms of her Heavenly Father on Friday, March 4, 2005 at home. She was born January 17, 1996 in Washington, Utah to Dorian Atwood and Terece Dalley Bundy. Rachel was very friendly and loving. She loved people, reading her scriptures, playing the piano, singing, and was a talented artist. She loved riding horses with her dad and was the Hobble Creek rodeo princess in 2004. Rachel loved her Heavenly Father and always wanted to do the right thing. She was obedient and helpful around the house, and was a special strength to her mother. She is survived by her parents of Springville; one brother and one sister: Joseph Bundy and Rebekah Bundy; grandparents, Stan and Sandra Dalley of St. George and Betty and Atwood Bundy of Washington. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Kolob L.D.S. Stake Center, 1230 South 500 East, Springville. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. or Tuesday at the Church one-hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Springville City Cemetery. Originally published March 7, 2005 Shirl Spencer GLENDALE, Utah - Shirl William Spencer, our kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, died Thursday, March 3, 2005 at his home in Glendale, Utah. He was just 62 years old. Shirl was born September 15, 1942 in Kanab, Utah to Howard and Ella Margaret Cox Spencer. He graduated from Valley High School, received his Bachelor's degree from University of Utah, and his Master's degree from Utah State University. He fulfilled an LDS Mission to the New Zealand South Mission. Shirl met his eternal companion, Donna Alder, while attending the University of Utah. They were married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on September 3, 1965. He was an active member of the LDS Church his entire life. His many callings included Elder's Quorum President, Bishop, member of the Stake High Council, and member of the Stake Presidency for 10 years. He also enjoyed serving as a temple worker with his wife in the St. George Temple during the last year of his life. Shirl was a life-long educator. He retired after 37 years of service in the public school system. He had served as principal of Valley Elementary and Valley High School, always greeting every student by name and with a smile. He enjoyed many hobbies, including sports, cutting firewood, fishing, and gardening. He was admired and loved by all who knew him. Survivors include wife Donna; eight children Vicki (David) Chamberlain, Karl (Lynette) Spencer, James (Rachelle) Spencer, Boyd (Nanette) Spencer, Becky (Matthew) Boyd, Natalie (James) Reidhead, Michelle (Alex) Moss, and Isaac Spencer; brothers and sisters Elvon (Nada) Spencer, LaVona (Lloyd) Baker, Gerald (Elaine) Spencer, Dale (Mary Ellen) Spencer, Emily (Keith) Anderson, Carla (Gordon) Carlson, and Jerry (Julie) Spencer; and 20 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and one grandson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the Glendale Utah LDS Chapel. Viewings will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Mosdell Mortuary and Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:45 AM at the Chapel. Burial will be in the Glendale Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary.
