Anderson Belva Murie Anderson, 86, died Sunday, March 6, 2005 in Evanston, Wyoming. Belva was born August 18, 1918 in Enoch, Utah to David and Amelia Encora (Batty) Murie. On July 22, 1937 she married Joseph Bryant Anderson in the Manti, Utah Temple. Belva was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings, including three church missions with her husband, Relief Society President, and Stake Primary. Belva enjoyed genealogy and reading. She is survived by her sons, J. Bryant (Alta) Anderson of Castle Dale, Utah; Roger M. (Sandy) Anderson of Cedar City, Utah; Gary Edward (Karen) Anderson of Martinez, California; Scott M. (Lenita) Anderson of Lyman, Wyoming; daughter, Ruth Horton of Ivins, Utah; 13 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Bryant. Funeral services will be held at the Enoch First Ward, Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Enoch Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home. Originally published March 9, 2005 Daniel Chavez KANAB - Daniel Chavez is once again at peace with his Heavenly Father. He died Monday, March 7, 2005 in Kanab, Utah. He was born November 6, 1963 in Kanab, Utah to Margaret Rodriguez and Thomas Delito Chavez. He married Shana Marie Baldonado on February 15, 1986 in Kanab, Utah. The youngest of 10 kids, Daniel was the only child born and raised in Kanab. He lived for his family, fishing, camping, hunting and cutting wood. His favorite pastime was getting out in the country and exploring with his dog, Buddy. He always loved being outdoors, even if it was just cleaning the yard. Daniel was a wonderful husband and father. He loved wrestling around with his kids and playing jokes on the family. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to any who needed it. Survivors include wife Shana Chavez of Kanab; children Khristen, Kayla and Kason Chavez all of Kanab; father Thomas D. Chavez of Hildale, UT; brothers and sisters Thomas (Linda) Chavez of Salt Lake City, Delores Chavez of Salt Lake City, Tony (Pat) Chavez of Escalante, UT, Robert (Eunice) Chavez of Oregon, Hopi (Barry) Hunt of Toquerville, Raymond (Pat) Chavez of Kanab, Rosemary (Lamont) Black of Hildale, UT, and Arthur (Agatha) Chavez of Tonalea, AZ. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Chavez and brother Johnny Chavez. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 11, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the Kanab South LDS Chapel. Viewings will be held Thursday evening from 6:00-7:00 PM at Mosdell Mortuary and Friday morning from 9:45-10:45 AM at the Chapel. Summers HENDERSON, Nevada - Joan Louise Summers passed away March 2, 2005 at Rose Delima Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. Joan was born March 11, 1956. She is survived by her parents, John and Judith Summers of Henderson, Nevada; brothers: John of Wichita, Kansas; Jim of Central, Utah; Joe of New Jersey; sisters: Jayne Bear (John) of Winnemucca, Nevada; Judy Cheun (Boun) of Henderson, Nevada; and Jeanne Wingate (Bill) of St. George; five nephews and five nieces; and her Guide Dog, "Heritage".
