She was born in Tropic, Utah on April 22, 1927 to Layton and Thelma (Littlefield) Jolley. She married her sweetheart Vivian (Bert) Millett on Nov 8, 1946 in Fredonia Az. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the St. George L.D.S. Temple. Ramona began her life's journey as a tiny miracle, weighing only 2 1¬2 pounds. She was fed with an eyedropper, and slept in a shoebox on the oven door of the old wood cookstove. Against all odds, her spunky, strong spirit carried her through this and many other challenges in her life. Ramona is the oldest of 12 children. She was a loving, caring, special lady who always put the needs of others before her own. She was a lifelong and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in various callings. Ramona loved making handmade quilts and crocheted items for her family. She enjoyed spending time in the outdoors; fishing, camping, and attending family reunions. Her family was very important to her, and she loved spending time with them. She will be greatly missed! Ramona is survived by her loving husband, Bert of St George, Utah, sons Ronald (Susan) Millett of Charleston, W. VA, Lloyd (Linda) Millett of Kanab, Utah, Paul (Debbie) Millett of Toquerville, Utah, Robert (Melanie) Millett of Payson, Utah, and David (Emma) Millett of Fredonia, AZ.; Brothers and Sisters: Clarence (Dorothy) Jolley, Shirley (Blaine) Betenson, Rulon (Marilla) Jolley, Evan (Janine) Jolley, Afton (Dale) Peterson, Alice (Irvin) Allen, Doyle (Sheila) Jolley, Glen (Betty Lou) Jolley, LaVon (Susie) Jolley, and Lynn (Gillman) Fife. She was preceded in death by a baby brother Herbert Jolley. Ramona has 25 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12 at 12:00 noon, at the 166 S. Main LDS Chapel in St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Friday, March 11 from 6-8:00 p.m., Heideman Mortuary, 170 S. Mall Drive, St George UT, and one hour prior to services on Saturday. Interment will be held at Tropic City Cemetery. Originally published March 11, 2005 Erlene Wood Isom 1921 - 2005 Erlene Wood Isom, age 83, passed away March 7, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born December 2, 1921 in Hurricane, Utah to George H. Wood and Iva O. Williams. Attended schools in Kanarraville and Cedar City, Utah. She married Stanley H. Isom on September 1, 1939 in the St. George Temple (later divorced). Erlene was raised in Southern Utah and lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, Chandler, Arizona, and Salt Lake City, Utah, making friends wherever she lived. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and faithfully filled ward and stake callings. She was a woman of great courage, enduring the effects of a terrible stroke for almost 22 years without complaint, and with a cheerful disposition that was an inspiration to all who knew her. She had many talents, including creating beautiful needlepoint pictures, art work, and loved to sing. She liked horses, was an expert rider, and was the Las Vegas Helldorado Rodeo Queen in 1951. She enjoyed her family and was proud of the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by daughters: Cherie (David Wennerholm), Lori (Larren Ross) and daughter-in-law Linda Isom, sisters: Javauna W. Willis (Max), LaRae W. Woolsey (Durrel), Faun W. Marshall ( John), Mary Isom, Venice I. Dunn (Dick), brother, Fernard G. Wood (Maralyn), grandchildren: 14, great grandchildren: 13. Preceded in death by parents, Kelly W. Isom (son), Lalif Wood (brother), Delila W. Davis (sister). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 12:00 noon at the Kanarraville L.D.S. Chapel in Kanarraville, Utah.
