He was born on September 8, 1937 in Minersville, Utah to Ralph Johnson and Rose Hannah Rollins Adams. His mother died when he was 4 1/2 years old and he and his sister Alice were raised by their grandparents Frank Vernon and Etta Corbridge Rollins. He married Janet Lillian Pace on October 1, 1960 in the Manti LDS Temple. Golden was an active member of the LDS Church. He served an LDS Mission to the Northern States Mission 1957-1959. He also served in numerous church callings and currently was a high priest. He was a faithful home teacher and loved the families he taught. He made his living as a carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #1498 for 37 years. He also loved raising a 'Big' garden. Later after retiring he spent many hours working in our family craft business. He was a great example to all who knew him and he never gave up. He set his sights on a goal and accomplished it. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Janet, children Clark (Valerie) Adams of Nephi, Gwen (Mark) Byers of Spanish Fork, Michael (Karia) Adams of Eagle Mountain, Susan (Tony) Bettis of Payson, Brent (Robyn) Adams of American Fork, Tim (Melissa) Adams of Santaquin, and Amy Adams of Orem; 22 grandchildren, 2 sisters Alice Autry of Cedar City, Utah, Nellie Milner of Terre Haute, Indiana, Jesse (Bea) Adams also of Terra Haute, Indiana and a large extended family. 1 grandson is currently serving a mission in Atlanta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Funeral services will be held at the Orem Suncrest Stake Center at 90 North 600 West in Orem at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005. Friends and family may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street in Orem and one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery with full military rites provided by VFW District #4. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sundbergolpinmortuary.com. The family would like to thank the many doctors and health care specialist who helped him during his fight with kidney cancer, and the thoughts, prayers, and visits of family, friends, and ward members. We will miss our husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He fought and won a courageous fight, and now after fighting this earthly battle he is finally reunited with his mother after 63 years.
