GEORGE - Eleanor Mae Craw, age 84, passed away Monday, March 21, 2005, at the home of her daughter in St. George. She was born November 2, 1920, in San Francisco, California, to Henry and Maja Marie Nielsen Gilling (Gylling). She and Delroy Lamond Craw were married November 26, 1944, in San Francisco. Their marriage was solemnized in the Oakland Temple in April of 1966. He preceded her in death July 27, 1994. Eleanor was raised in San Francisco, graduated from Balboa High School, and worked for Dunn and Bradstreet. After she and Delroy were married, they moved to Alameda, California (1944-1954), back to San Francisco (1954-1966), to Minersville, UT (1966-2004), and she finally settled in St. George in June of 2004. She was a talented homemaker and an excellent cook. She loved to hear the birds sing, and more than anything she loved visiting with her family and friends. Surviving family include her: children, Delroy Louis Craw, of San Francisco, CA, Dona Marie (Kent) Seegmiller, of St. George, UT, Suzanne Rae (Ted) Murri, of South San Francisco, CA, and Corwin (Helen) Craw, of Taylorsville, UT; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Trudy (Nick) Leonoudakis, of South San Francisco, CA, and June (Roy-deceased) Noland, of Scotts Valley, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 25, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at the Minersville 1st Ward Chapel, 130 W. Main St., Minersville, with a viewing from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., prior to services, at the Chapel. Interment will be in the Minersville Cemetery. Originally published March 24, 2005 Jocile U. Neilson WASHINGTON - Jocile U. Neilson, 84, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 22, 2005. She was born March 2, 1921, to Octave F. and Hannah M. Ursenbach in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. She was raised in Southern California. At 13, she spent three years in Belgium while her father was serving as President of the Franco-Belgian Mission. Jocile married Donald R. Christensen on October 27, 1941. He was killed in action in March of 1945. She later met and married Rulon W. Neilson on December 4, 1949, in Los Angeles, California. Their marriage brought together Jocile's two sons, Donald M. Christensen (Miriam) and Steven J. Christensen (Bernice); and Rulon's three daughters, Patricia M. Luce (Dick), Jackie Baker (Darrell) and Kathy Staheli (George). Her life has been devoted to service in both the community and the Church. She was active in politics and served for many years as registrar of voters and her home was used as a polling place. She held leadership positions in the Relief Society, Primary, and Young Women's organizations. Her real love was music, and she served for many years as a chorister and music leader. She was most proud of her many years of service in the name extraction program. She was a wonderful cook, and her kitchen was always filled with the smells of something baking. Her family was most important to her, and always loved to be surrounded by children and grandchildren. She is survived by her five children, 22 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and two greatgreat grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and her ten brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 25, 2005, at 11 a.m., at the St. George LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 200 W. 500 N. A visitation will be held Friday, March 25, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to services at the chapel.
