GEORGE - Michiko Kakinuma Baker died May 6, 2005 from complications of stoke and cancer in St. George Utah. She was born September 17, 1927 in Wakayama-ken, Japan to Tojuro and Teru Kakinuma. On November 12, 1954, she married Thomas Baker in Tokyo, Japan. On June 26, 1970, Michiko and Thomas were married in the Los Angeles, California Temple for time and all eternity. Michiko had exceptional talents as a seamstress and artist. She displayed these skills as a master of first rank in the art of Japanese doll making. Later she became a fine artist in oil painting. She produced many fine works of art in her own home. She was also well known as a excellent cook, catering authentic oriental meals for large groups of people. Michiko was known for her quiet, dignified and modest demeanor and was happiest in transforming her home, with the help of her husband, Tom, into an island of Japanese tranquility. Her daughter, Dian and son, Steven are accomplished concert pianists and are still performing today. Michiko is survived by her husband, Tom, her daughter Dian (Eckart) Sellheim, son Steven (Rebecca) Baker and two grandchildren, Sean and Zoe. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 10 at 11 a.m. at the Morningside Ward building (900 S 700 E, St. George). Visitation held one hour prior to service. Originally published May 8, 2005 Wanda Banks Moser Ezzo Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Wanda Banks Moser Ezzo, age 85, passed away peacefully May 6, 2005. Wanda was born November 20, 1919, in Murray, Utah to John Jarvis Banks and Elsie S. Walbeck. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1938. Married Mario Joseph Moser in 1941, later their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Later divorced. Lived in Riverton and Midvale, Utah most of her life with her husband Mario, where their family of 16 children was known as the "largest crop" in town. Later retired to Ivins and St. George, Utah. Married Louis Ezzo, widowed. Married Delbert Adamson, widowed. She enjoyed singing, entertaining, dancing, and church activities. She had a sweet spirit and loved her family. She is preceded in death by her husbands; son, Sherril, daughter, Dawna. She is survived by her children; Holly (Rob) Stonehocker, Taylorsville, Debbie (Syl) Gray, formerly of Kaysville, Cheryl (Lynn) Thomas, Neola, Bonnie (Corney) Workman, West Valley City, Bobbie Hiatt, Kearns, LaMont Moser, Oklahoma, Carma (Arlo) Stewart, South Jordan, Norman Moser, Nevada, Allen (Deb) Moser, West Jordan, Jolyn (Charlie) Peck, Oklahoma, John (Helen) Moser, St. George, Lynda (Jesse) Berg, South Jordan, Dennis Moser, West Jordan, Loran (Carol) Moser, Taylorsville, 51 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank J & E HomeCare and Odyssey Hospice for all their help in taking care of our mom. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale, where friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services.
