Bowles 1927-2005 ST. GEORGE - Richard A. Bowles was born to George A. and Lila May Duffin Bowles on June 10, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah. A husband to Margene Talbot Bowles married in the Salt Lake Temple for fifty-nine years. His life was slowly and tragically stolen away by the insidious ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease). Three Sons and four Daughters, and their families, valiantly assisted their Mother during his illness. There are twenty-one Grandchildren and ten Great Grand Children. His two Brothers and one Sister survive him. He faithfully held many positions in the LDS Church. He worked, and was Vice President of the O.C. Tanner Jewelry Co. for forty-six years. He always enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors. Grandpa could fix anything. Simply put, God made this perfect man. We will miss the sparkle in his eyes. Thank you, Trudy, Carl and Laura from Southern Utah Hospice. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 23, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Heideman Mortuary, 170 S. Mall Drive, St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Sunday, May 22, 2005 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Heideman Mortuary, and one hour prior to services on Monday. Originally published May 20, 2005 Sara A.
