GEORGE - Patricia Lyn Blazek passed away May 23, 2005 in St. George, Utah. She was born March 30, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Highland High school and attended one year of college at UNLV. She loved nature, being outdoors and dancing. Her family and her God were especially dear to her. She was employed at Bonanza Air Lines. Patricia is survived by her mother, Wanda Buhecker; son Jacob (Berta) Blazek; and granddaughter, Monique. GEORGE - Samuel Michael Blazek, Jr. passed away May 21, 2005 in St. George, Utah. He was born September 7, 1921 to Anna A. Letecki and Samuel Michael Blazek in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He joined the Army Air Force at Nellis Air Force Base in 1941 and was discharged in 1945. His first job was a dealer at Pioneer Club and pit boss and general manager at many Casinos. He was very influential with the men in Las Vegas politics. Samuel witnessed all the nuclear testing at Yucca Flats and suffered with Hodgkins Lymphoma for 50 years. He is survived by two sons, Gary Blazek and Jacob (Berta) Blazek; granddaughter, Monique; sister Helen McFaden; and brother Adam Blazek. GEORGE - Phyllis Adams Reinwasser, 93, died May 22, 2005 in St. George, Utah. She was born to John Winfred Adams and Ivy Leona Freeman on October 10, 1911 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is survived by her sons, John Stevens and Joseph Perri, and daughter, Louella Kay. Also surviving her are four of her husband Myrle B. Reinwasser's children; Herbert Reinwasser and wife Susan, Eileen Forst and husband Mel, Mrs. Annette Smith and Mrs. Sandra Longhofer. Myrle and Phyllis, in their retirement years, spent many years as full time temple workers in the Los Angeles Temple. They later moved to St. George in 1983 where they continued their service in the church and the community. She was an active volunteer at the Dixie Regional Medical Center for 20 years. She was still actively involved up until the time of her death. Phyllis was a very loving and caring woman who made many friends. A big smile always graced her face. She was loved by many friends and family. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at the St. George LDS 5th Ward Chapel, 85 South 400 East. Visitations will be on Thursday, May 26, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd. and Friday, May 27, 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to services at the Chapel. Originally published May 26, 2005 James Henry Renfro ST. GEORGE - James Henry Renfro, age 100, died May 23, 2005, in St. George, Utah. Jim was born in Tennessee and as a young man moved to California where he met and married Lolas Butler. They had one daughter Mary Jane Renfro Madison. Jim never knew a stranger. He attributed his longevity to a simple, worry-free lifestyle, which included hunting, fishing, and outdoor sports of all kinds. He retired from Southern California Edison Co., in 1967 after completing thirty-eight years of service, spending his retirement in Blythe, CA., Bullhead City, AZ., and finally moved to St. George, UT making his home at the Meadows Retirement Community where he made many friends. He is survived by his son-in-law Ed Madison (Jan) of Leeds, UT., two grandsons James Madison (Barbara) of Parker, AZ., and Robin Madison (Irma) of Yuma, AZ., three great grandchildren, Richard Madison, Ivan Madison, and Clarissa Madison, and one great-great granddaughter Caitlyn Madison.
