GEORGE - Diana Dalton Timmons, age 80, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2005, at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George. She was born June 5, 1925, in Princeton, West Virginia, a daughter of Julius Arthur and Lottie Alma Dalton McGinley. Diana was born, raised, and educated in Princeton. After her marriage to Fletcher A. Showalter, they moved to Phoenix and started a family. They later divorced and she moved to California where she met and married Charles Timmons. Shortly after their marriage, they decided to move to Anacortes, Washington, to run a deep sea fishing salmon charter boat business from 1973 until their retirement in 1985, at which time they moved to Cottage Grove, Oregon. A Registered Nurse, Diana worked in the medical profession her entire life. She loved nursing and was always kind and gentle with those who were in her care. She was a strong, independent woman who took great joy in her family. One of her favorite hobbies was fishing, especially when she could take her grandchildren along. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were so very precious to her. Surviving family include her: two daughters, Sandra (Orville) Lucus, of St. George, UT, and Melody Helenius, of Portland, OR; four grandchildren, Autumn, Amanda, Andrew, and Alexander; two great-grandchildren, Zackary and Austin; three sisters, Delores Plunkett and Josephine Dietsche, both of Eugene, OR, and Susan Plunkett, of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her: husband, Charles Timmons, who died in 1997; and two brothers, Johnny and Bobby Jennings. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 7, 2005, at 12:00 noon at the Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery. Originally published November 5, 2005 Connie L. Trousel ST. GEORGE - Connie L. Trousel passed away in St. George, Utah on November 3, 2005. She was born on August 23, 1918 in Centerville, Iowa, the only child of Frank and Tena Anderson Trousel. She was employed by the Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island, Illinois and retired in 1984 after 27 years of service. Connie loved dogs and traveling in the motor home. She lived with her dear and loyal friend, Vivian A. Sheil for 21 years. Vivian and Connie became friends in Illinois and that friendship continued for 40 years. Interment will be in Centerville, Iowa. Originally published November 5, 2005 Rachel W. Baker BICKNELL - Rachel Wood Baker, 91, of Bicknell, died Sunday, surrounded by her family in Bountiful. She was born Nov. 11, 1913, in Lyman. Surviving family include her children: Byron K. Baker of Bicknell, Evelyn B. and Grant Back of Cedar City, Elayne B. and Kjae Leslie of Murray, Judy B. and Gary Evans of Salt Lake City, Ben J. and Kaye Baker of West Valley City, LuCinda B. and Charles Wilson of Las Vegas, andDavid Kent Baker of Salt Lake City; 24 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; brother: Ivan Wood of Lyman; and sister: Erma Alvey of Payson. Services will be Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at 1 p.m., at the Thurber Ward Chapel in Bicknell. Friends may call Saturday from 11 to 12:30 p.m., prior to services, at the Chapel.
