Christine was a very talented person who loved to sing and play the piano.She also loved to sew and was a beautiful seamstress, she enjoyed doingscrap booking, write plays and music, as well as paint and do genealogy work.She taught grade school in Minersville for 8 years.She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Keith Hutchinson of Beaver, two daughters, Tamera L. (James) Carter of Beaver and Kimberly R. (Rob) Perkins of Vancouver, Washington.She has 10 grandchildren, one brother, Beau Coston of Texas, one sister Kathy Humphrey of Beaver and her mother Gail Coston of Beaver.She was preceded in death by her father Paul Wyatt Coston, 1 brother, Paul Wyatt Coston Jr. And one sister, Julie Ann Coston. Originally published November 17, 2005 Jerilyn Pugh SPRINGVILLE - Jerilyn Pugh, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed quietly away Monday, November 14, 2005 at her home in Springville, Utah. She was born May 23, 1945 in Glendale, Utah to Alton Robert and Lillith Brinkerhoff Pugh, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Valley High School in Orderville Utah, then received a Bachelor's Degree from College of Southern Utah in Cedar City. Jerilyn served an LDS Mission to the Toronto Canada Mission. She continued in her church service by serving as a Ward Relief Society President on BYU Campus and as a counselor in a BYU Stake. More recently she served as Gospel Doctrine Teacher and Relief Society Secretary in her home ward. She also served in various positions related to music such as Ward Music Chairman and Ward Organist. Jerilyn worked as a secretary at BYU, Cessna Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas, Amoco Oil in Kansas City and back to Utah to serve for 24 years at the Missionary Training Center in Provo. She loved music and was accomplished on piano, organ and string instruments. She was a writer of poetry, and set some of her poems to music. Survivors include four sisters and two brothers: Rgene (Merrill) Bunting, Maurice (Corine) Pugh, LaVerl (William) Roberts, LouNell (Ike) Chamberlain, Samuel (Mary Ann) Pugh and Jolene Stoker; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Glendale Utah Cemetery. Arrangements made with Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab, Utah. Originally published November 17, 2005 Leland Orven Smith BEAVER - Leland Orven Smith, 78, passed away November 15, 2005 at the Beaver Valley Hospital. He was born September 16, 1927 in Beaver, Utah to John Thomas & Elizabeth Alice Bradshaw Smith.He married Elaine Stoney October 15, 1946 in the St George LDS Temple and she passed away June 18, 1999.Leland served as the secretary for the 2nd Northwest Canal Irrigation Company for years, he was a member of the LDS Church and served as a Boy Scout Leader as well as in many other positions.He enjoyed doing genealogy and extraction work.He was a farmer and always raised a beautiful garden.He also owned and operated the Leland Smith Heating Company for many years and had both a HVAC and Electrical Contractors License.He was a dedicated father & husband to his wife Elaine whom he cared for until her death.He will be missed dearly by his loving family, friends, other farmers down the lane and those whom he serviced furnaces for. He is survived by his three children, Connie Hal) Gale of Cedar City, David S. (Mary) Smith of Cedar City and Verlane S (Tracy) Davis of Beaver.He has 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Randall Lee & Tony Loren Smith, Sisters LaRilla Druce and Bertha Barton and brothers, Venar, Elmer, Jasper, Earl, Alden, Eldred, Milton and Delvin Smith. Originally published November 17, 2005 Alexander DeeEl Stapley CENTERVILLE - Alexander DeeEl Stapley, age 6, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005. Alexander was born May 4, 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Jeff and Catherine Hansen Stapley. His parents and siblings, Andrew, Rebecca and Christopher love him very much and will miss him a lot. Alex was always happy. He enjoyed being with others and playing games with his brothers and sisters. Alex has a strong testimony of the love of Jesus Christ. He enjoyed attending Primary, especially singing songs and listening to stories about Jesus. Alex was also very patient with family members and others as we learned to understand his communications with us. Alexander was very tough when it came to recovering from the many medical procedures he had in his short life. Alex was a great delight to his grandparents, Lamar & Elaine Hansen and Norma & DeeEl Stapley, and his aunts, uncles and cousins. They all love him dearly. Alexander enjoyed his school teachers, classmates and especially his bus drivers. They all cared for him and taught him many things. He loved them back for all their service. Alexander's family is proud of how he completed his mission here on earth and we know that he will be able to complete his mission in Heaven with honor and a new freedom from this earthly limiting body.
