She was born September 25, 1914, in Cleveland, Ohio, to John Samuel Power and Eva Graham Brittain. Evelyn spent her young years in Pueblo, Colorado. She enjoyed horseback riding, playing the piano, and summers in Beaulah, Colorado. She graduated from business school. On April 26, 1941, she married her sweetheart, Robert "Bob" Devor, and they resided in Lamar, Colorado. They later moved to Campbell, California, where they resided for over 30 years. Evelyn gave many hours of service to the Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary, where she served as the office manager. They spent their retirement years in Carson City, Nevada. She is survived by her: husband, Robert Devor, of St. George, UT; two daughters, Patricia L. (Russell) Foster, of St. George, UT, and Sharon K. Lewis, of Nampa, ID; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was recently preceded in death by her brother, Arthur J. Power, formerly of Denver, Colo. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing at 10:00 a.m., prior to services, at Spilsbury Mortuary. Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery, St. George, UT. Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, UT (435) 673-2454. Originally published November 20, 2005 Asahel Norman Fuller ST. GEORGE - Asahel Norman Fuller passed away November 18, 2005 in St. George at the age of 87. He was born December 12, 1917 in Garland, Utah to Luther Carlos Fuller and Florence Jane Roe. He married Annie Blake on March 1, 1942 in Reno, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple in 1958. They raised four children; Lorraine (Kay) Fuller, Beverly (Joseph) Paiement, Sharon (Ross) Franks and LaNorma (Dayne) Cannon. Norman is survived by his wife, Annie of St. George; his children; 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother; Rosalba Gubler; his brother, Don Carlos, and his sister, Florence Pauline. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel, 110 S. Bluff Street, St. George, UT. Visitation will be held 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to the service at the Chapel. Interment will take place at the St. George City Cemetery. Originally published November 20, 2005 George M. Lamoreaux ST. GEORGE - George McCoy Lamoreaux, passed away November 17, 2005, at his home in St. George, Utah. He was loved by all those who knew him, and will be greatly missed. George was born on May 3, 1942 to Leah Cook Lamoreaux and George Elden Lamoreaux in Vernal, Utah. The family later moved to Orem, where George grew up with his three sisters. George graduated from Provo High School, and served in the United States Air Force where he was assigned to Strategic Air Command. He married Nancy Sheryl Alway in Spokane, Washington on February 1, 1964, George and Nancy solemnized their marriage in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple on February 1, 1974. They were later divorced, but maintained a close relationship throughout his life. George later attended Dixie State College and Utah State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. George taught school in Washington, Kane, and Uintah counties. He also managed several local businesses. George was the proud father of seven children. He was a devoted father and grandfather. George's children knew that he could always be counted on whenever anything was needed. George's grandchildren especially loved their "Gampa or Papa George." George had a ready smile and quick wit. He could often be found with a mischievous twinkle in his blue eyes. An avid outdoors man, George loved to hunt and fish. He also loved spending time with his family. George had many talents, but perhaps his greatest talent was for understanding others and putting people at ease. George was preceded in death by his father George Elden, his son Justin, and his grandson Lane. George is survived by his children: Jenny (Kirby) Lunt, David (Kim) Lamoreaux, Michael (Tara) Lamoreaux, Brian (Raylene) Lamoreaux, Lori (Chris) Watson, and Katey Lamoreaux; and their mother, Nancy Lamoreaux. George is also survived by his mother, Leah Brindley; his sister, Vivian (Charles) Gamble; his sister, Kathryn (Tom) Bourke; his sister, Miriam (Brent) Cochran, and many nieces and nephews. George will be greatly missed by his 19 grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at 11 a.m., at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 228 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. A gathering will be held Tuesday, from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the mortuary. Arrangements under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary 435-673-4221.
