Bailey CEDAR CITY / EPHRAIM - Daniel Jace Bailey, 27, passed away south of Cedar City in the early hours of November 22, 2005 from injuries sustained in a auto accident. Daniel was born September 1, 1978 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Cathi Bailey Holman. He married Allison Warner on January 26, 2002 in Ephraim. He loved tricking out old trucks, camping and fishing with his buddies. He was a great tease and if your weakness was found, would "torture" you to the end. He loved his family and being with his boys. He was loved by all who knew him and he loved life. He is survived by his wife, Allison; children, Mason Jace Bailey and Jaxon John Bailey all of Cedar City; parents, Cathi and Doug Holman of Santaquin; brothers and sisters, Mike Madsen of Santaquin, Ashley (Kyle) Denton of Sterling, Alex (Cheryl) Mickelsen of Manti; grandfather, Dick Bailey of Chester; parents-in-law Jan and Richard Warner of Cedar City. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2005 at 12:00 Noon in the Ephraim 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 751 South 100 East. Higbee was united with his beautiful eternal companion on November 22, 2005. William was born July 20, 1922 to Myron Higbee and Florence Spilsbury Higbee in Cedar City Utah. He spent his childhood and attended the Branch Agriculture College (SUU) and also Utah State University. In 1943 he joined the US Army Air Corps and flew P51 Fighters during World War II with the 31st Fighter group. He flew in the Berlin air lift. He later flew F-86 Fighter Jets in the Korean War. He became a Meteorologist in Hawaii and flew scientific aircraft into the eye of Hurricanes and also nuclear clouds during Atomic testing. He later obtained a degree in Hydraulic Engineering from the University of Arizona and worked for the US Geological Services. In 1943 he Married Rose Ann Rix (Rusty) in Texas and later the marriage was solemnized in the St. George Temple. They were married 56 years and she preceded him in death in 1999. He was a faithful High Priest and hard working member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held many callings including member of the Bishopric and High Council. He loved all people and served with all his heart. William was a direct descendent of John S. Higbee who was a member of Brigham Young's first Wagon train group of 1847. He is survived by Linda Boyle of Vista California, Brian Higbee of Alpine Utah, Joan Hillstead of Post Falls, Idaho and Paul Higbee of Provo Utah. He has 14 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services for William will be held Friday, November 25, 2005 at 6:30 pm in the Warenski Funeral Home Chapel, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah (801) 763-5000. Family and friends may call from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm prior to services. Interment will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery, Eugene, Oregon on Monday, November 28, 2005. Originally published November 26, 2005 Jack Woodney Severson, Sr. IVINS - Jack Woodney Severson, Sr., died November 24, 2005, at his home in Ivins, Utah. He was born on January 5, 1927, to Charles A. and Loretta Rogers Severson in West Jordan, Utah. Jack served his country in the US Army in WWII. He married Shirley Maynard in August, 1948, in Pioche, Nevada, solemnized St. George LDS Temple, 1965. After her death, he married Effie Maynard Severson in 1996 in the Jordan River LDS Temple. Jack worked at the Nevada Test Site and retired after 33 years of service. Jack is survived by his wife, Effie Maynard Severson, children: Jack Severson of Payson, Utah, Kim, Emmet and Scott Severson and Stacy Ghormley all of Las Vegas, Nevada, step children: Byron Maynard of Ivins, Utah, David Maynard of South Jordan, Utah, Sandi Ross, Darla Tolman and Darwin Maynard, all of West Jordan, Utah, Troy Maynard of Thousand Oaks, California, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, brother, Kenneth Severson and sisters; Norma Carlson and Fern McAbee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Maynard, sister, June Severson and brother, Darrell Severson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ivins Stake Center, 1040 East 260 South, Ivins, Utah. A visitation will be held prior to services from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. A second funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 11:00 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah, with a visitation prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the South Jordan Cemetery, South Jordan, Utah.
