She was born in Quincy Township, Adams County, Iowa on August 23, 1920 to Cecil and Louisa Thomas Beckwith. Marjorie grew up in the farm country of Iowa and she graduated from Corning High School in Iowa in 1938. On April 8, 1939 she married Russell F. Dotson of the same area. They were later divorced in 1975. Marjorie has been a resident of this area since 1982. Russell preceded her in death, as well as both parents Cecil and Louisa; three brothers Clesson, Theodore, and Duane; two sisters Violet and Gladys (Barnes). She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Rusty Wilson. Survivors include one son Dennis Dotson of San Pedro, CA; two daughters, Sheryl Ungar of Saugus, CA; Sharon Bell of Desert Springs (Beaver Dam), AZ; one sister, Fondeen Westphal of Bridgewater, IA, one brother, Thomas Beckwith of Lake Forest, CA; seven grandchildren, Mike Wilson, Dusty Wilson, Daphne Dotson, Devon Dotson, Terry Ungar Bock, Greg Unger; 15 great grandchildren, Cassie Bock Shaffer, Stefan Bock, Tristen Bock, Fallon Bock, Samantha Wilson, Rachel Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Brienna Wilson, Kasey Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Irving Gomez Wilson, Brittny Wilson, Michelle Ungar, Kathryn Ungar, Nathan Ungar; and two great great grandchildren, Bailey Shaffer and Luke Shaffer. A short memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. at Highland Manor, 202 Pioneer Blvd., Mesquite, Nevada. Graveside services will be at a later date, at Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery in Riverside, CA. Arrangements under the direction of Virgin Valley Mortuary. Originally published September 5, 2005
