He was born July 21, 1952 in Salt Lake City to Lores Calvin Beckstead and Jean Irene Roberts. Randy was a single father who loved his children and family so very much. Randy loved to work on cars and did a very good job of rigging things to make them work. He also loved his sisters and brothers. He is survived by his children, Glenda 17, Randy Jr. 15, Holly Jean 13, and Brandon Kyle 6, all of Hurricane. They will truly miss their daddy. He is also survived by five sisters and one brother, Judy (Richard) Garbett, Hurricane, Jill (Randy) Skow, Draper, Carla (Cory) Rasmussen, Clinton, Utah, Irene (Allen) Garbett, Eureka, Utah, Dennis (Cheryl) Wahlburg, Battle Mountain, Nevada, Diane Carter, Provo, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the Eureka City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Originally published September 9, 2005 Beverly Steele Collins Beverly Steele Collins, 73, of St. George, Utah passed away September 7, 2005. Her family will miss her dearly. She leaves a great legacy of service to her family and her church, through her willing hands and outgoing spirit. Beverly was born January 9, 1932, in American Fork, Utah, to William Alfred Steele and Sarah Leona Brown Steele. Beverly was the 7th of eight children and spent most of her childhood in Salt Lake City. She married Donald Reimers Collins on February 7th, 1949, in Los Angeles California, and they were later sealed in the Los Angeles California Temple on May 29, 1957. They met at a baseball stadium where Don was playing for the Salt Lake Bee's. She asked for his autograph and he asked for a date, which led to 56 years of a wonderful marriage. They raised six children in West Covina, California, where they made their home until they moved to St. George in 1981. Beverly was outgoing and friendly and loved life. She loved her family and was a devoted wife and mother. Her years were spent loving and caring for her family and everyone else who needed her. She loved people and took great joy in serving others. She also enjoyed her membership with the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She served in many church callings and loved doing genealogy and scrapbooking. She loved her Heavenly Father and lived her life with great faith. The scriptures were her constant companion and a great comfort in her life. Beverly is survived by her dear husband Donald of St. George, her children Jade (Dana) Anderson of Las Vegas, Nevada; Cindy (Dallan) Nalder of Holbrook, Idaho; Randy (Jullie) Collins of Claremont, California; Chris Collins of St. George, Utah; Tim (Cathy) Collins of St. George, Utah; Cathy (Cory) Pulsipher of St. George, Utah; and 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, September 9, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Heideman Mortuary, 170 South Mall Drive, St. George, Utah. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, at 11:00 a.m. at the Heideman Mortuary, with visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services. She was born July 16, 1910 in Elsinore, Utah to Antone Christian & Mary Sorensen Johnson. She married Maxwell D. Root May 8, 1929 in Ely, Nevada and he preceded her in death on October 10, 1972. "Mam - ma" was a member of the Rebecca's Lodge and the D.U.P.'s. She served as the cancer drive chairman for a number of years in Milford. She worked as a clerk at the Milford Drug Store for many years. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in the Relief Society for many years. She was an avid reader. She is survived by her three children, Maurice (Barbara) Root of Las Vegas, NV., Margaret McKnight of West Jordan, Utan, and Kay (Michael) Rich of Salt Lake City, Utah. She has 11 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren and 10 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Linda Root and two grandsons, Maurice McKay Root and David Reed Root as well as two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 1:00PM at the Milford LDS 1st Ward Chapel. Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday at the Church from 11:00AM to 12:30PM. Interment will be in the Milford Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. She was born on April 25, 1944, in Milford, Utah to William Phillip and Marian Miller. She was the second of three children. Judy was married to Don on March 25, 1961 in Milford, Utah. Shortly thereafter they were blessed with their first daughter Donnette, and then Cheryl. She took great pride in having her girls always look just right. In 1967 the family headed for the city, and called Bountiful home. In 1971 they would be blessed with their son Brett. After several years in Bountiful, running a record store, they moved to Sandy, Utah where she resided at her time of death. Judy loved photography and was passionate about capturing the perfect light. She spent time traveling around the world and capturing those moments and places on film. She adored her grandchildren and relished showering them with gifts. She has the "cutest" grandkids. She loved to have her children and grandchildren surrounding her. She went the extra mile when her kids struggled with health challenges; she knew there had to be a way to make them better. She was preceded in death by her father and mother as well as her brother Steve. She leaves behind her husband Donald Mayer, her daughters Donnette (Robert) Moyer, Cheryl Mayer, son Brett (Trinnie) Mayer and her brother Dennis (Margret Ann) Miller, as well as the lights in her life McKenna, Preston, Paige, Isabella, Patrick and Peyton. Services will be held Saturday September 10, 2005 at 12:00 noon, Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Louise Richmond, 74, returned to her Heavenly Father on September 7, 2005 at home in St. George after a long and valiant struggle. She left the arms of her loving family to take the hand of her eternal sweetheart. She was born May 7, 1931 in Farmington, Utah to Lester Llewelyn and Minnie Amalia Sjoblom Lund. She married Robert C. Richmond on April 3, 1954 in Davis County, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. Mom lived in Farmington until she married her sweetheart, and followed him around the world as he proudly served his country for over twenty years in the Air Force. After retiring from service they moved their family to St. George and operated Richmond's TV for 25 years. She worked hard all her life supporting and enjoying her family. Many hours were spent with her around the piano singing and listening to her play. She was an award winning seamstress whose talent provided her children and grandchildren with hand made clothes, quilts and crocheted treasures. Her greatest joy was to be surrounded by her children and grandchildren with her eternal companion by her side always holding his hand. She is survived by her children: Verl D. (Aven), Lindon, UT; Carol Jo (Ross) Paulson, St. George; Nan (Jay) Hardy, Mesquite, NV; Ken (Mary), LaVerkin, UT; 15 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandsons and 2 Great-Granddaughters; sister Nina Marie Calloway, Folsom, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Theril, and her loving husband of 50 years. Originally published September 9, 2005 John Roman John Andrej Roman, 41, of Las Vegas, passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2005. John was a creative and talented man who loved to beautify his surroundings. He loved music and working with his hands. He was always concerned with the comfort of others. If you needed anything, before you could ask, he would be there with it. Most of all he loved his family and was a great gift to them. He always wanted a daughter and was thrilled when his daughter was born. He is survived by his parents, Jerrie Lynne McGregor Roman and Raymond Roman; his daughter, Mellissa; his sisters, Lisa, Stephanie, Brigitta, Kathy, Denise and LaRae; his nieces, Whitney and Lily; and his nephew, Shandler.
