Miller, age 83, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 27, 2005, in St. George, with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at his side. He was born May 30, 1922, in Washington, Utah to Raymond and Ethel Pectol Miller. He lived in Washington until the age of 17 when he joined the CCC's, then enlisted into the Navy during World War II, where he served for three and half years. After receiving an Honorable discharge he went to California to an Electronic School, and while there sent for his sweetheart, Ada Riedhead and they were married on Dec. 20, 1946, and their marriage was later solemnized in June of 1964 in the St. George LDS Temple. They made their home in Cedar City for 37 years where he was a turbine operator for Utah Power. Upon retiring they moved to Santa Clara, and resided there for 20 years, where they made many cherished friends. In Nov. of 2004, they moved to Leeds, and he loved the area there. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding positions with the Scouting program and he loved his home teaching calls. He and Ada served a member location mission at the St. George LDS Tabernacle. He was loved by anyone who knew him. His nick name was "Smiley" because it didn't matter who you were or how he was feeling, he always had a smile for you. We will miss him and his way of being a peacemaker to our family, but we know he has had a beautiful reunion with those gone on before, especially his mother who left him at age five. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ada Reidhead Miller, children: Linda (Scott) Mackelprang, Ilene (Bob) Mackelprang, Charles (Ruth) Miller and Roy (Karen) Miller, 18 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, and one sister Lorene Miller Harrison. We'll see you in the eternities. We'll miss you until then.
