Coburn, Robert Vance Robert Vance "Pino" Coburn Robert Vance Coburn slipped away peacefully April 22, 2005 surrounded by family who loved him most. Vance was welcomed to earth by his mom and dad and his big brothers, Chris and Corey, on December 28, 1980. They welcomed their baby sister, Brittney, five years later. He attended schools in Davis County and graduated from Viewmont High School. He was known to many growing up as "the Tigger", "Vancer Dancer", "Vancin Around, Vinnie", and known most by his friends as "Pino" with that twinkle in his eyes, that would get lost in his grin. His family grew to include his step families and little brothers. He always had the most fun. He loved to see how fast his new shoes could run. He gained great hand strength by creaming everyone in Nintendo, which later became valuable in his golf game grip. He had a great outside shot playing hoops. He loved flying down any mountain strapped to his boards and jumping off the cliffs at Lake Powell. He loved his dogs Cinnamon, Har ley and Hobie; they knew he was always good for a handout. He had worked for Oakridge Country Club in grounds keeping to be near the game he loved most. He loved the tunes of Dave Mathews, Jack Johnson and Jimmy Buffet when no one else knew who they were. Vance loved everyone, by the time he finished a transaction at the counter for a car rental agency the customer would want to take him home with them. If you spent any time with him at all, you felt like you were his best friend. He accepted everyone as his friend and offered love and support in any difficult situation. He accepted everyone's differences, weaknesses and shortcomings. He always offered his help. He valued others and reminded them of their great worth by his unconditional love for them. He taught us charity just being in his presence. He gained a witness of the power of prayer in his life and knew Heavenly Father was aware of his struggles. Vance is survived by many who were fortunate to know and love him and he will be missed greatly; his family includes his mom Marsha Case and her husband Craig, his dad Terry Coburn and his wife Rebecca. His siblings: Chris (Ann), Corey and Brittney Coburn, his little brothers: Chandler, Brennan, and Austin Coburn, his step brothers and sisters: Jake, Christer, Rick, Nathan and Kelli Case, Tiffany Weltman and Shannon LaPlant. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marie and Bob Nilson, Welton Coburn, and Lendell Perry. Funeral services will be held at 12pm, Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at the Centerville Utah Canyon View Stake Center, 2110 N. Main St., Centerville. Ross Our beloved mother, wife, nurturer and friend, was at last reunited with our baby sister April 22, 2005, after courageously battling an extended illness. Our Queen was born April 15, 1959. Mom and her siblings were given up for adoption. Mom cared for her brothers and sisters at a young age. Her ability to love and care was mom's greatest strength. Forced to part from her siblings Mom lived in an Orphanage until she was 12. Finally she was adopted by Rondle and Fay Rogers. Mom attended school in Utah, continuing her education at Weber State University. Mom married our dad, Kenneth Cook, in 1977. They were later divorced. Mom then married Joseph Ross who loved and cared for her until her final breath. Mom had the most beautiful singing voice. Many times she would provide comfort by singing to us kids through many hardships. It's hard to know if the Lord has appointed her lead Soprano or Master Chef? One thing is certain, God's army has taken back a very brave and proven le ader. Her will to fight and ability to overcome was at times unbelievable, limited only by a mortal body. Momma when we say our prayers and talk to our angel's we will now be talking to you. Mom is survived by her parents, Rondle and Fay and Elmer and Ruth Moore, her husband, her children, Tharren (Jacqeline) Ross, Michell (John) Manley, Steven (Asano) Ross, Jennifer (Shane) Smith, Destiny (Kevin) Worthington, Anthony Rogers, Liz Harns (Daren Short), Rebecca Cook, 19 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, along with many others who's lives she touched.
