David, a son of Michael and Kitty Dunn, was born on September 4, 1972 in Lubbock, Texas. While growing up in an Air Force family, David lived in Texas, California, Utah, New Mexico, Florida, Oklahoma, Alabama, Hawaii, Germany and the Netherlands. David graduated from Prattville High School in Alabama and attended Utah State University. While attending high school he lettered in track and played football. He graduated from LDS Early Morning Seminary and served in the Independence, Missouri Mission. His hobbies were painting, playing the guitar and he loved ocean surfing, boogey boarding and fishing. David entered the US Air Force in September 1996 and served for 6 years as a Radiology Technologist completing his service with the rank of Staff Sergeant. David served in Texas, Florida and Nevada. After separating from the Air Force, David moved to Texas. He re-located to Hawa ii in October 2004 and became re-acquainted with his former sweetheart, Jennifer McClay whom he married on November 5, 2004. The couple is expecting their daughter, Adia Leslie Dunn, to be born in early October. Surviving are: his wife Jennifer Marie Dunn; step-son Noah Jonathan Andrade; parents Ruel Michael Dunn and Wanda Kathleen "Kitty" Dunn of Brigham City; brother James Michael (Robyn) of Santa Monica, CA; sister Alexis Kathleen (Ronald) Johnson of Logan; Grandparents Les and Marion Dunn, Brigham City and Wanda Rhodes, River Heights, UT. Huntsman, Vada Carol McCashland OGDEN - Vada Carol McCashland Huntsman, 76, passed away Friday, August 5, 2005, of causes incident to age. She was born May 8, 1929 in Lebanon, Nebraska, to Francis Lloyd and Elsie A. Gay McCashland. On July 15, 1950, Vada married Samuel Reese Huntsman in Ogden, Utah. He preceded her in death in 1979. She was reared and educated in Lebanon then moved to Ogden in 1949 to help care for her aunt. Vada was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ogden. She was very proud of being a Deaconess. She enjoyed being a rock-hound, board games, cards, and trips to Wendover. She loved her family and treasured her friends and neighbors. Vada is survived by her daughters, Linda Carol Huntsman, Roy; Tammy Huntsman (Mark) Smith, Layton; four grandchildren, Taura (James) Barnes, Ogden; Melanie (Guy) Jackson, Ogden; Spencer Huntsman Smith; Layton; Jacob Eugene Smith, Layton; one great-grandchild, Eve Vada Jackson; and two sisters, Donna Hardin and Sharon Wolzen , both of Oxford, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel; three sisters, Glenva Orvis, Betty Orvis, Mildred O'Hare; and a daughter, Karen Lee Huntsman. The family would like to thank Dr. Vincent Hansen, Dr. Richard White, Dr. Michael Woolman, The I.V. Linford, Holly Sue Holly Sue Linford Surrounded by the family who loved her so much, Holly Sue Linford, 41, peacefully passed away at her home on August 2, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. Holly was born on December 25, 1963 to James C. and Marianne Matney Linford in Tremonton, Utah. She moved to California with her family at the age of four and to Lake Jackson, Texas in 1980. Holly graduated from Brazoswood High School in 1982 and from Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, New York in 1987. After her stint as a graduate student in psycholinguistics at the University of Texas in Austin, she was employed by the Texas Legislature as Editor of the Legislative Journal and worked under two governors, Ann Richards and George W. Bush. Holly married James P. Bonavita in 1989 and they moved to Lake Jackson, Texas in 1995 where she continued her writing as a contributing author for Images and various other publications. Her gifts to her family include her talented writing, creative quilts, genealogy research, b eautiful needlework of all kinds, eclectic decorating, insightful wit, generosity and living life on her own terms. Miller, Katherine Meredith OGDEN - "OH, WHAT A DAY", Friday, August 5, 2005, Katherine Meredith Miller passed from her second estate at the McKay Dee Hospital. She was born December 14, 1912, in Salt Lake City, the oldest of four children, to George C. and Mary Nielsen Meredith. Katherine married Henry C. Miller on April 4, 1934, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, by President David O. McKay. She graduated from West High School and attended LDS Business College. She loved music and had been in choirs and directed choirs for many years. Katherine had been employed by Keely's Cafe in Salt Lake, JC Penney, Bon Marche and the Ogden-Weber Training Center. She was well liked by her employers and told what a winning smile she had. She made many friends easily and could give a short history of their life the first five minutes she met them. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a three year mission to Central and Northern Germany with her husban d. The missionaries loved to come to their home and talk and eat and feel closer to home. Her interests included music, gardening, reading, sewing and family. She had been a member of several service organizations. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Jerry and Sharrel Miller, Provo; Jean and Kerry Cheney, Fruit Heights; Thomas and Gail Miller, Corpus Christi, Texas; and Marsha and Charles Vogrinec, Riverdale; her brother William D. (Lillian) Meredith, Taylorsville; one sister-in-law, Maxine Meredith, Boise, Idaho; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one grandson. Garth was born to Chloe Hanks and Ferrel Nelson in Idaho Falls, ID on June 4, 1927. Garth graduated from Ricks College and BYU. Garth served our country in the Navy during WW II. He was also a member of the Idaho National Guard. On November 24th, 1954 Garth married Dorathe Anderson in the Idaho Falls Temple. Garth and Dorathe celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary surrounded by family and friends this past November. Garth is survived by his loving wife, Dorathe, and their five children: Lowell, Ruth Mercado, Ferrel (Kara), Karen Jack (Darrell), and Annette Kjar, and 24 grandchildren. Two siblings also survive him: Joyce Allred and P. Keith Nelson. Garth served LDS missions in Denmark and Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Garth and Dorathe enjoyed working with children in Russia with the International Language Program. Garth was a Boy Scout advocate recently awarded the Silver Beaver. Garth was a schoolteacher. He spent most of his career as a Park Ranger in Yellowstone National Park. Garth was politically minded and Silver Beaver actively involved in local and national concerns. Vigil passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on August 3, 2005. He was born August 8, 1932 in Capulin, Colorado to Joe Demetrio and Celia Atencio Vigil. At the age of twelve he moved to Utah. On November 3, 1951, Al married Mary Martinez. They celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in 2001. He retired from The Utah Housing Authority in 1998 and had worked for Tristate Mineral and as a car salesman. Alfonso loved to camp, fish, hunt, and watch his grandchildren play sports. He enjoyed spending many hours watching his grandsons play ball. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife and siblings, Jose Vigil, Charlie (Carolann) Vigil, Elvia Gallegos, Louie Vigil, Carmen Deaton, Gable Vigil, and Richard (Jeanine) Vigil. He also leaves behind his six children; Robert (Cheryl) Vigil, Rita Leishman, Saul Vigil, Paul Vigil, Mark (Melanie) Vigil, and James (Kayla) Vigil, 18 grandc hildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Lilly Chordray, and Silvia Gomez, and a grandson Dion Jeppesen . Waldron, Weston Thomas MORGAN - Weston Thomas Waldron, age 16, died August 5, 2005 as a result from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was welcomed home by his grandfather, Thomas Glen Waldron. He was born August 23, 1988 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Clark Malin and Wendy Anderson Waldron. Weston was to be a Junior at Morgan High School. Weston loved spending time with his family and friends snowmobiling. He loved to hunt, paintball, ride his motorcycle, tubing down the Weber River, and teasing his sister and brother. He was good at fixing mechanical equipment. He had a kind heart. He was a hard worker and always kept busy. He was a special son, brother, grandson, cousin and nephew loved by many and will be missed. We will cherish the memories of his time spent with us. Weston is survived by his parents Clark and Wendy, sister Laura, and brother Dyllan. Also, he is survived by his great-grandmother Juliette Harvey, grandparents: Dorothy Waldron-Bunn (Herb); Jesse B. Yamaguchi, Isao OGDEN - Isao Yamaguchi, 87, passed away Friday, August 5, 2005, of natural causes, at Washington Terrace Nursing Center. He was born April 15, 1918 in Ogden, to Yoji and Mii Yokoyama Yamaguchi. On September 15, 1952 Isao, married Yoshiye Nagasawa in Salt Lake City. He went to Japan to Nigata Ken at the age of seven with his family. The children were left with Grandmother Rin Yokono Yamaguchi, when his parents left for California two years later. At the age of 14, Rin Yokono Yamaguchi died of a stroke leaving him to raise his siblings on his own until 1937 when he returned to America. Isao swam across the large expanse of the Arakawa River as a young man. He served in the military during World War II. Isao was a member of the Buddhist Church. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad as a track layer, electrician and crane operator until he retired in 1980. His other occupation was as a gardener. Isao enjoyed fly fishing, designing his own flies and gardenin g, his specialty was rock garden design. He is survived by his children, Bob Mikio, Clearfield; Dave Tatsuo, Ogden; Paul Yoshiyo, Tremonton; Jane Keiko Yamaguchi, Baltimore, MD; one grandchild; and two sisters, Rizeko Oyama and Satsuki Yamaguchi, both of Los Angeles, CA. Isao was preceded in death by his wife, Yoshiye, a brother, Aki, and two sisters, Sagako Kato and Shizuko Miyasato. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 10th at 1 p.m. at the Buddhist Church, 155 North Street.
