Waldron, LaRue MORGAN - Our precious mother, grandmother and great-grandmother LaRue Waldron, 93, walked on peacefully to greet her awaiting heavenly family in the early morning hours of Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005. She was born Oct. 8, 1911 in Henefer, Utah to Parley T. and Fannie Judd Richins. Mom married Lorin Jay Waldron on Jan. 18, 1933 in the Salt Lake Temple. Their married life was spent in Morgan. Mom was a graduate of North Summit High School and Quish School of Cosmetology in Salt Lake City, practicing in her home beauty salon for over 25 years. Mom worked at J. Williams and Son, Doyles Grocery, and Southside Store in Morgan. Her love was working with her brother at the Weber State Bookstore, retiring in 1970. She loved being around people, especially the students. Mom was a volunteer at McKay Dee Hospital in the Gift Shop, enjoying the friendships of many she worked with. A Big thank you to Gloria Wager who made her feel so loved and supported. She earned her 500 hours pin and some light in her life faded when she had to retire due to difficulties of age. Mom had been a 4-H leader in the 1930s, Campaign leader for the Red Cross in 1973, and Chairman of the Utah Heart Assn 1977 Heart Drive. She was an active member and past officer of the Morgan Camp DUP. Mom was an active member of the Morgan 1st Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding many positions from Primary worker to Relief Society. She was Choral Director of the Morgan Stake Board and was Chorister in Morgan 1st Ward Relief Society. Mom had many loves and hobbies - her family being Number One. She enjoyed many years of bowling with close friends until dizziness made it impossible. She loved ceramics, especially porcelain dolls. She was always looking for something to do, wanting to stay busy. She loved music playing and leading. Her joy was the popcorn parties at Deanna's house on Sunday evenings with family around her. Not to be forgotten is her love for her pet dog , Trixie. Thank you, gals at Steph's, for being so kind and patient; fixing Trixie Burgers for her dog and making Mom feel so very much loved. She was a very selfless mom who always wanted to do for others, hating to have to be taken care of and waited on - but graciously accepted it. Surviving are four children - two sons and two daughters: Keith R. (Karen) Waldron, Clinton; Deanna (Verl) Mecham, Morgan (serving a mission in Adam Ondi Ahman, Missouri); Lyle J. Waldron, Dutch John, Utah; Gaylene (Robert) Haws, Morgan; 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Lyle Richins; sisters, Maxine Wright and Ovena Mayo; and a special light in her life, granddaughter, Chalyce U. Waldron, with whom she can now make a complete circle of love. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 12, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rock Church, Morgan 1st Ward Chapel, 10 West Young Street.
