He was born on September 22, 1918 in Teton, Idaho the son of Robert and Sarah Furness Allen. He married La- Ree Terry June 23, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. She died September 15, 1989. Throughout his life he was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. After serving an LDS mission he joined the Marine Corp and served in the South Pacific in WWII. He graduated form the U of U in electrical engineering and worked at Hill Air Force Base for over 47 years. His kind and gentle ways were an example to all his family. He is survived by one daughter and two sons: Lorna (John) Evans, Bountiful; Terry Allen, Bountiful; David (Cindy) Allen, West Jordan and 10 grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sisters. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday August 29, 2005 at the Bountiful 41st Ward, 33 South Moss Hill Drive (1500 East). Elden "Andy" Andersen Sunday, August 28, 2005 OGDEN - Elden Nels Andersen, 87, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at Crestwood Care Center in Ogden. He was born May 20, 1918 in Cleveland, Idaho to Fred H. and Mary B. Neilsen Andersen. He married Alice Henstra on January 20, 1944 in Elko, Nevada; she preceded him in death on November 6, 1998. Andy was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was also a member of the LDS Church. Andy loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. He also enjoyed working in his garden, fishing and clam digging in Washington. Surviving are his children, Lamar (DeeAnn) Andersen, Garden City, UT; Tom (Vikki) Andersen, Fish Haven, ID; William Andersen, Cleveland, ID; Darlene Bessonette, Bountiful, UT; Donna (Douglas) Blickfeldt, Roy, UT; Mary (Bob) Joynt, Clearfield, UT; Kathy (Donnie) Zamora, Roy, UT; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister, Dorothy Hogan of Thatcher, ID. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice Andersen, his parents, two sisters, and three brothers. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. Friends may call on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. Melanie Ann (Lem) Cox Brewer Sunday, August 28, 2005 Washington Terrace - Melanie Ann (Lem) Cox Brewer suddenly passed on from this mortal probation and walked painlessly through the vail into the arms of her Heavenly Father on August 24, 2005. Lem was 37 years young. Lem was born March 12, 1968 in Ogden, Utah to E. LeRoy Cox and Thelma Naomi (Clumpner) Cox, the youngest of 10 children and the youngest of twins. She grew up in Sunset where she attended Doxey Elementary, Sunset Jr. High and Clearfield High. She had worked at various jobs through her life including the Ogden LDS Temple, and her most important job as a wife, mother and homemaker. She always excelled and took pride in everything she did. Throughout her hard and pain filled life she always tried to help others in need, practicing the Love of Christ with everyone she met. She loved writing poems both happy and sad as different situations popped up in her life. She met the love of her life, Keith Blair Brewer, at church one day in 1997. They were brought together there by choicest friends. He pursued her for 18 months until she finally consented to go out with him. They married on February 12, 1999 in the Ogden LDS Temple and she lived the rest of her life in Washington Terrace. She was a member of the Washington Terrace 6th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints where she had held and loved various callings serving the Lord. She is survived by two beautiful daughters, Saralyn Spring Lepchenske and Emily Renee' Hollingsworth. These young ladies were the center of her life. She would spend hours each night rocking them to sleep and singing lullabies to her girls. She is also survived by her mother and father, brothers - Matthew (Amy) Cox (her twin and other half), Colorado Springs, CO, Bud (Nancy) Napples, Jackson Hole, WY, Joe Napples, Tremonton, Tom Napples, Syracuse, Chuck Napples, Denver, CO, and sisters - Donna (Roger) Gray, West Haven, and Kristine Lindsay Willden, Taylorsville. She was the special "Nannie" to her loving nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Leroy Cox, and a sister, Brenda Joy Napples, and her grandparents, Loran and Alberta Wilcox, and Merton and Thelma Naomi Clumpner with whom along with other loving relatives, she is now having a celestrial and glorious reunion. She also leaves two boys, her puppy dogs, E.B. and Albert, who miss their momma. She left this world in such a rush but was able to express her love to her husband and family before she went. The last words anyone heard from this choice girl were to her husband when she said "Love ya and see Me". She never liked saying goodbye. So to my sweetheart, my universe, my princess, eternal love and my Tigger, I love you with all my heart, I love you with my soul We can finish the rest when we meet again. To my dear sweetheart, "Love ya, see Me". "We love you Mommy". Paul Dee Dinsdale Sunday, August 28, 2005 RIVERDALE - Paul Dee (Papa) Dinsdale, 60, died surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with Leukemia at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City. He was born April 13, 1945 in Vallejo, California, a son of Paul Lindquist and Thelma Sloan Dinsdale. Paul married Phyllis Watts and later divorced. He met the love of his life, Karen J. Jackson and they were married in Riverdale. He was raised in his earlier years in Napa, California and graduated from Napa High School in 1963. He later moved to Utah after the death of his parents and brother. Paul was a senior manager for the Department of the Navy in Vallejo, CA. When he moved to Utah he was a Real Estate Agent for Wardley. After his first round of chemo therapy, he went to work part-time in the Tool Department at Sears. Paul was an avid golfer. He loved fly fishing. Paul's special memories are of the times he and his father spent in the mountains. He also, enjoyed the time he volunteered at Riverdale Elementary school. He is survived by his wife Karen J. Dinsdale; two daughters, Tera (Kenny) McKenney, Riverside, CA and Rhonda (Jason) Johnson, Roy; two sons, Daniel (Mandy) Donaldson, Riverdale and Blake Donaldson, Roy; six grandchildren Julie, Zachary, Cole, Kolbe, Gavin and Kaden. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jim, and grandson Jordan. At Paul's request a private family service will be held later. Walter Fenwick Sunday, August 28, 2005 OGDEN - Walter Frank Fenwick, 70, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2005. He was born March 6, 1935 in Billings, Montana to Frank R. and Anne Swager Fenwick. He married Cheryl Lee Dripps on June 26, 1970 in Ogden; she preceded him in death on October 1, 2004. Walter was a member of NUPA and GPAA. He was an avid gold prospector and loved visiting with friends. The best time of his life was at the family reunion in July. Surviving are his children, Joelle Lewis, Ogden; David Fenwick; and two grandchildren, David Lewis and Dillon Fenwick. Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Donald (Marla) Fenwick of California; Phillip (Marlene) Fenwick of Minnesota; and Agnes Schendel of Montana. Orval Wayne Field Sunday, August 28, 2005 November 18, 1924 to August 25, 2005 Orval Wayne Field, 80, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2005, at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was employed by Unisys. He was the son of Gilbert and Eunice Starkey Field. Wayne married Zona OBrian on July 30, 1945 in Richmond, CA., while serving in the Navy during WWII. They were sealed in the Los Angelas Temple August 13, 1977. Wayne graduated from the University of Utah in 1951. He is survived by his wife, five children: Brien (Merry), Orlando, FL, Mark, SLC, Christy Waddell, SLC, Shari (Russ) Bowers, Sandy, Linda (Luke) Koetitz, Kaysville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his sister Betty Wisner, Ogden. Finch Sunday, August 28, 2005 HOOPER/PLAIN CITY - After filling our lives with many wonderful memories Eugene J. Finch, 94, our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-greatgrandfather and friend passed away peacefully Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Ogden Regional Medical Center. He was born August 9, 1911 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada to Theodore Sanford and Ruth Barber Finch. He graduated from Weber High School and married Lucille King on April 21, 1931. They had three boys, Kenneth and Kathleen Finch, Richard and Cheryl Finch, Ronald and Jan Finch, and a daughter, Diana and Richard Seager. His wife and sons preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by 12 sisters, five brothers and a grandson. He is survived by a sister, Harriet Green of Mesquite, NV; 34 grandchildren; 98 greatgrandchildren and 20 great-greatgrandchildren. The family lived in Hooper. Eugene was employed as an aircraft tool and dye mechanic and engineer at Hill Air Force Base for many years prior to serving at Browning Arms for over 25 years as a design engineer. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He later married Wanda Sommers on November 26, 1983; they spent many winters in Quartzite, AZ. Wanda passed away November 14, 2004. Her children were Larry and Carolyn Sommers, Raelene and Bill Critchlow, Maxine and Bill Candland and Carolyn and Dennis Craynor; her son Larry preceded him in death. Elnora Litz Hickman Sunday, August 28, 2005 On a beautiful summer day, August 26, 2005, Elnora Litz Hickman, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home with loved ones at her side. She was born March 25, 1917, in Trenton, Utah to William and Vivian Tippetts Litz. As a child she spent many days helping on the family farm with her sister and brothers. She has always had a deep love for her parents and siblings. She attended school in Cache Valley graduating from North Cache High School. She attended Weber Academy where she received her cosmetology license. She put herself through college at Utah State University. She married Blaine Earl Hickman on August 27, 1941, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their marriage was an example of love, devotion, and enjoying life. They had a wonderful companionship, working together owning and operating the family ranch in Stone, Idaho and operating a country store in Snowville, Utah. They moved to Rawlins, Wyoming in 1973 and to Ogden in 1992. Elnora was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was always willing to serve the Lord in any way. She and Blaine served three LDS missions to the Papeete Tahiti Mission. She is survived by her husband, Blaine E. Hickman of Ogden, one brother William (Ila) Litz of Trenton, UT, and eight children; Winston (Donna) Hickman, Vivian (Steven) Terry, Michael (Marsha) Hickman, Ineda (Deon) Wilkes, Annette (Gary) Christensen, Matthew (Nancy) Hickman, Delila (Jon) Webb, Stuart (Dawn) Hickman; 43 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren. There was never anything more important to her than her family. She loves each one of them with all her heart and we each felt her sweet love. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Aldena and brother-in-law Rex Reed, one brother Leon Litz, and one great-granddaughter. Don Malan Hobbs Sunday, August 28, 2005 ST GEORGE, Utah - Husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Don Malan Hobbs 87 died Thursday August 25, 2005 at his home in St George after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Ogden, Utah June 4, 1918 a son of Charles James and Teresa Una Malan Hobbs. Don married Leah Deloris Marriott in 1940 and was later divorced. Leah preceded him in death in 1981. He later married Ruth Chavez on October 17, 1969 who preceded him in death on May 31, 2004. He grew up and was educated in Ogden, Utah where he graduated from Ogden High School. Don also lived in Mesa Arizona and St George Utah for the past 31 years. Don was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many positions. He and Ruth served two Temple Missions: Washington DC in 1984 and Dallas in1986. He was a temple officiator and has served as a sealer. He also extended his love to the children of friends and family, whom he lived by who called him Grandpa. Don was a hard worker and never had a problem finding employment. He worked as Caddy Master at the Ogden Country Club, 1936-39, and from his earnings he provided major financial support for his brother James who was serving a mission. Don served 1943-1945 in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Chief Petty Officer and was attached to Admiral Smith's staff at Pearl Harbor as a Decoder. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad as an engineer for 36 years, retiring in 1974. Surviving is one son Michael Don Hobbs, two brothers and two sisters, James M. Hobbs of St George, Utah; Raymond M. Hobbs of Ogden, Utah; Lorell A. Widdison, Hooper, Utah; Melba Kofoed, Ogden Utah; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. One son, Robert Owen Hobbs preceded him in death. Cumah Louise Greenfield Kingsford Sunday, August 28, 2005 OGDEN - Cumah Louise Greenfield Kingsford, 77, died Thursday, August 25, 2005 at a local care center in Ogden, Utah. Cumah was born April 5, 1928 in Branson, Missouri to Willette and Velma Gitthen Robinson. Louise was reared and educated in Richfield, Idaho. She also lived in California and worked as a Nurses Aide in Valeo California Veteran's Hospital. She was a waitress in Ogden for many years. She married Albert Greenfield. They were later divorced. She then married Wayne Kingsford. He later died June 1986. She is survived by four sons, Donald (Jackie) Greenfield, Gene and (Margo) Greenfield, Daniel Greenfield, and Thomas Greenfield, all of Ogden; and three daughters, Vickie (Lance) Redd, Uintah, UT; Linda Richardson, Ogden; Waynetta Kingsford, Fairfield, CA; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by five brothers, Afred, Udell, Carl, Loren, and Victor Robinson all of Richfield, Idaho; and two sisters, Bonita Casper, of Montana and Leona Goodenough, of Ogden. John Mayer Sunday, August 28, 2005 LAYTON - Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, greatgrandfather, brother, and friend, John Mayer was called home by his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday morning, August 26, 2005. He was born on April 27, 1927 in Jerome, Idaho to Gottlieb Mayer and Anna Wakenhut Mayer. He met Ursula Creuzburg in Berlin, Germany while stationed in the Army during WWII. They were married a year later on November 30, 1947 in Paul, Idaho. He also served his country with the Merchant Marines in Australia. He was a retired home builder and owned his own construction company called Mayers Builders. He retired from the Civil Service at HAFB. John loved camping and fishing. He was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church for 41 years which he helped build and held all the offices at one time or another. John and Ursula were snowbirds and traveled to Arizona every year during the winter. They were avid travelers. John loved his family very much and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Ursula of 57 years; 1 son and 1 daughter, John G. (Maureen) Mayer, Cheyenne, WY.; Heidi (Robert) Schwab, Layton; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 brother and 1 sister, Rhienhold Mayer, Twin Falls, ID.; Helen Steckler, New Mexico and many nieces and nephews in Idaho. Jennifer was born July 10, 1973 in Miami, Florida to Luis and Deborah (Signor) Bardisa. On February 13, 2004 she married Ross Palmer in Reno, NV. Jen was a very caring person, loved all her family and friends. She will be dearly missed. Velma was born April 14, 1938 in Brookneal, Virginia to Ewell and Ollie (McKinney) Overstreet. On June 24, 1956 she married Ralph Poole in Norfolk, Virginia. She is survived by her husband; three children, Kenneth Poole, Debra (Thomas) Brown both of Long Beach, CA and Roberta (Dennis) Cope of Harrisville, UT; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are her three siblings, Steven "Buddy (Bobbie) Overstreet, Elsa (Jack) Dixon and Christine Valentine. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Samuel Overstreet; two sisters, Jewel May and Margaret Overstreet. Christopher Quintana Sunday, August 28, 2005 OGDEN- Christopher F. Quintana, 56, died Wednesday, August 24, 2005. He was born May 9, 1949 in Ogden, to Ray C. and Martha E. Quintana (Martinez). Chris was employed for over 20 years as a welder/fitter, but was most recently employed with Ogden City Corp. He loved sports, particularly baseball and boxing. He was a member of the Marshall White Center Hepcats Boxing Club in his teens. Chris was also an avid hunter and fisherman, accompanied most often by his pride and joy....his grandchildren, Natalie, Decker, Brian, and Cache. Surviving are one son, Christopher A. Quintana (Tiffany), Huntsville; and two daughters Kimberly M. Quintana and Jacqueline R. Quintana of Ogden. Also surviving are two brothers Ramon T. (Bonnie) and LeeRoy (Margaret) Quintana; and two sisters Cindy Quintana and Linda (Kevin) O'Donnell. He was preceded in death by his parents. John David Sandry Sunday, August 28, 2005 OGDEN, Utah - John David Sandry, 73, passed away Friday, August 26, 2005 at Manor Care in South Ogden, UT. He was born in Thief River Falls, MN on March 30, 1932 to parents Bert and Martha Sandry. He was courageous throughout this difficult time and did not complain of his many illnesses. John attended and graduated from schools in Fosston, MN. He served in the army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He had been a mechanic for most of his life but was also a heavy equipment operator. He loved to hunt and fish, go camping and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed all his friends at Wangsgards for a cup of coffee and story telling. John will be sorely missed by his family. John met and married his loving wife, Bette, in 1968 and were to have celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary later this year. John is survived by his wife and two daughters, Karrie (Keith) Murdock, Clinton; and Debbie (Larry) Galberd, GA; and seven grandchildren, Thomas, Kelly, Scott, Adam, Zachary, Ryan and Emily who loved their grandfather very much. He is also survived by five brothers and one sister, Merle, AZ; Vern, AZ; Earl, IL; Harry, IL; Robert, FL; and Helen, IL; and a son, David, from a previous marriage. John was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Alfred. She was born July 16, 1925, the youngest child of Alexander J. and Martha Smith Schott. She attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ogden High with the class of 1943. She attended Weber College, where she was voted "The Friendliest Girl on Campus", The University of Denver, and graduated from Utah State University in 1948. She was proud to be an Aggie but bled Weber State purple. She was a teacher in the Ogden School District, touching the lives of thousands of children at Bonneville, Taylor, Washington, Jefferson and Edison Schools. She retired from teaching in 1987. She met A. Gibson Smith while working summers at Island Park Lodge; they were married November 11, 1953 in Ogden, Utah. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. Gib died September 20, 1972. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints Highland Ward and served the Lord through serving others. She was President of the Relief Society and served in the Young Women's and Primary organizations. She also served in the Weber State Relief Society Presidency. She served three terms on the Board of Directors of the Ogden School District Credit Union. She loved to play bridge with her many friends; one of her bridge clubs has endured since her college days at Weber. She was a proud member of the Golf City Ladies Association. Mary Jean loved to travel and had the opportunity to see much of the world traveling with family and friends. She enjoyed completing a crossword puzzle every morning. Mary Jean was loved by so many people largely because of her tremendous gift of love and of making friends with people of all ages. She will always be remembered for her constant smile, her cheery disposition, her Sunday dinners, and her carrot cake. She loved to attend Weber State basketball games and loved supporting her grandchildren by attending their sporting events, recitals, concerts and other activities. Mary Jean dedicated her entire life to her family. Her grandchildren will always have fond memories of the annual family golf tournament she held around her birthday and the many hours playing at her home with the cousins on Sunday afternoons. She is survived by her children, Jeff Smith, Ogden; David and Deby Smith, Kaysville; Susan and Michael DeYoung, Ogden; Kirk and Katie Smith, Ogden; Ann Syphus, Salt Lake City. Mary Jean will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Tarra Smith, Courtney Smith, Alex Smith (currently serving in the Durban, South Africa mission), Elizabeth Smith, Katherine Smith, Maryann Smith, Sarah Jane Smith, Christine Smith, Meg DeYoung, Christian DeYoung, Marc DeYoung, Curtis Smith, Patrick Smith, Spencer Smith, McKay Smith, Ben Syphus, Carter Syphus, and a great-granddaughter, Paige Smith, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Mary Jean enjoyed a particularly close relationship with family of her husband, the Smiths and Kirkhams. Mary Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Gib Smith, her parents, brothers, Dale and Fred Schott, sister, Margaret Gessell, son-in-law, Stan Syphus, and a grandchild Janie DeYoung. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Highland Ward Chapel, 1314 - 27th Street. GeNeal Myers Sparks Sunday, August 28, 2005 LAYTON - GeNeal Myers Sparks passed away peacefully with her husband at her side in Riverside, California on Friday, August 19, 2005 after a sudden illness while on a family vacation. GeNeal was born to Neal and Leatha Myers on August 30, 1947 in Ogden, Utah. GeNeal married Richard L. Sparks for time and all eternity in the Ogden Utah Temple in 1977 after a civil ceremony on June 6, 1969. GeNeal raised five children, Richard Jr., Robert, Randall, Christine and Connie who were the light of her life. GeNeal and Richard had the perfect marriage and friendship, always at each others side holding hands. GeNeal was a wonderful loving grandmother to her four grandchildren who loved her and always ran to her arms when she entered a room. Her boys affectionately labeled their Mom, Molly Mormon that totally described her life and her love of the gospel. GeNeal had a close loving relationship with all of her children including her daughters- in-laws and her son-in-law. GeNeal and Richard celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary in June and spent much of their time together riding their bicycles or playing golf when they were not visiting their children and grandchildren. Sunday dinner was always a special occasion in her home and a warm gathering place for all family activities. GeNeal lived in Riverdale, Utah while attending grade school and Weber High School. She graduated from Brigham Young University (BSN) in 1969 as a registered nurse. GeNeal was the nurse at Weber Valley Detention Center for over 15 years and a nurse with IHC for 20 years. GeNeal is survived by her husband, Richard, her children, Richard (Rachel Archibald) Jr., Robert (Barbara Lyman), Randall (Tiffany Bean), Christine, Connie (Kevin) Davies, mother, Leatha Myers of Riverdale, sister, Myrna (Ray) Thompson of Salt Lake City, grandchildren, Ashley, Samuel, Collin and Kelsey, ten nieces and five nephews. He was born September 7, 1956 in Salt Lake City the son of Duane and Eugenia Christensen Stoker. Chris worked at Hill Air Force Base. Throughout his life, he surrounded himself with music and was proud of his accomplishments playing bass guitar with the band March Hare. Walters Sunday, August 28, 2005 OGDEN- Merlin Kay Walters, 62, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2005. Merlin was born August 3, 1943 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Lowell Merlin and Orlean Parkinson Wadman Walters. He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 27 years as a Missile Mechanic, 3 years at Handi-Trans as a Bus Driver for the handicapped and 1 year as a Crossing Guard for the Ogden Police Department. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and having a picnic at the park. He also enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. We will always remember spending time with him. We love him dearly and will cherish all the memories we have of him. She was born February 24, 1959 in Brigham City, a daughter of LaMar and Marilyn Oram Davis. Cami married Brian L. Jensen in February of 1978. He preceded her in death. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Cami worked in manufacturing operations at ATK Thiokol for 23 years. Cami will always be remembered for her laughter, her beautiful smile and her wonderful wacky sense of humor. She had a great ability to make people laugh. Cami also enjoyed gardening and cooking and was famous for her soups and salsa. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Nothing ever happened that Grandma and her smile couldn't fix. She also dearly loved her Old English Sheepdog, "Cheyenne". Surviving are two daughters, Micaela Jensen (Chris) Aussem, Clearfield; Amy Jensen (Jarred) Downs, Kaysville; four grandchildren, Jason and Alex Aussem; Kamiah and Gage Downs; her mother, Marilyn Oram Keyes, Williamsburg, VA; her sister, Lael Davis (Paul) White, Williamsburg, VA; her brother Don Davis, Ogden; and two nieces, Marika Pickett and Tawny Davis. Rosalie McCumber Whitaker Sunday, August 28, 2005 OGDEN - Rosalie McCumber Whitaker, 84, died August 26, 2005 in South Ogden, Utah. Mom was born November 20, 1920 in South Jordan to Lemuel O. McCumber and Myrtle Camille Stocking. She was educated in the Jordan School District where she received a scholarship to Excelcis Beauty School upon graduation from Cyprus High School. Mom worked as beautician, and aircraft rivet inspector and as a school bus aide during her life. She was a skilled seamstress and loved to sew. She also had a soft spot in her heart for animals and cared for countless horses, dogs, cats and orphaned lambs during her life. Mom enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching the Utah Jazz, dancing, reading and visiting her cousins in Oregon. Mom was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints and served in the Primary and Young Womens organizations and also enjoyed doing temple work. Although mom was plagued by serious health problems much of her life, she always seemed to have the courage and determination to carry on. She loved her family and we will miss her dearly. Rosalie is survived by her two sons and three daughters; Ronald (Laura) Barnes, Highland, UT; Jim (Beverly) Wilding, Reno, NV; Renee (Alex) Givens, Grantsville, UT; Barbara (Randy) Hamblin, Clinton, UT; and Sheryl (Blaine) Petersen, Taylorsville, UT; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and her beloved cat, Jumbo.
