RIVERDALE - Fern Irene Brown, 81, died Sunday, July 10, 2005 at Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City. She was born June 17, 1924 in Lima, Montana, a daughter of William and Carrie Saunders Gray. On June 25, 1985, Fern married Ronald H. Brown in Ogden. Their marriage was solemnized in the LDS Temple on December 2, 1991. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Fern was a nurse for many years. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Fern enjoyed sewing and knitting. Surviving are her husband of Riverdale; four sons, Ron Brown Jr., currently serving with the U.S. Military in Iraq; Steven Glen Brown, Roy; Allen Roy Brown, Ogden; Archie Wells; and eight grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, John Gray, Boise, Idaho. Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother James Gray and one sister Ruby John. Brown, Kyle Curtis ROY - Kyle Curtis Brown played his last baseball game on Sunday, July 10, 2005. He was born to his proud parents, Curtis and Nannette Brown, on April 2, 1990. Kyle was a very bright and beautiful spirit that is shining with his Heavenly Father. He served in the Teachers Quorum in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Springbrook Ward. He worked hard this past year to bring his grades up and make his parents proud. Kyle was a big brother to all the smaller kids in the neighborhood and loved to organize games to play with them. They all looked up to him and loved him. God called Kyle up to help with the children in Heaven. He had an enormous heart and would go out of his way to make people feel loved. His love of baseball and playing second base were his greatest joys. His other interests were basketball, track, bowling with his buddies, snowmobiling and four-wheeling. He also received his first-degree black belt. Kyle was a very hard worker, working with his dad and constantly lending a hand to help neighbors and friends. He always knew what to say to make you laugh and gave the best bear hugs. When God asked, "Who will lead this family to salvation?" Kyle stood and answered, "I will." Kyle is survived by his loving and proud parents; his big sister, Nicole, Little Bug; his best friend and little brother, Kayd; his grandparents, Leon and Barbara Brown, and Phil and JoAnn Bailey; great-grandpa, William West; many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends and teammates. He was preceded to his Heavenly Father by his Great-Grandma Angelina West, uncle, Gary Young and cousin, Brandy Bailey, who are showing him the infield. I'll miss you my best friend and riding buddy. Gallegos, 68, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, died Monday, July 11, 2005 at McKay-Dee Hospital surrounded by his wife, children, other family members and longtime friends. He was born May 10, 1937 in Del Norte, Colorado, a son of Delphino A. Sr. and Elidia C. Montoya Gallegos. He was raised by his grandfather, Dad Ramon Arrellano. On October 19, 1957, he married his beloved wife Anna Pena in Del Norte, Colorado. Arthur was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He loved God and frequently asked for prayer. He was a foreman and welder at GSL and Thiokol for many years. Art enjoyed music, fishing, camping, playing the guitar, barbequing and cooking for his family and friends, dancing and family gatherings. He was jokester and prankster. Surviving are his wife, Anna, of Ogden; four sons and four daughters, Gary (Anna) Gallegos, Ogden; Jim (Yevette) Gallegos, Syracuse; Scott Gallegos, and Arthur Gall egos, Jr., both of Salt Lake City; Mona (Ruben) Herrera, Gina Herrera, LeeAnn Gallegos, and Bobby Jo (Jesse) Puente, all of Ogden; a former son-in-law, Juan Herrera, 27 grandchildren including Deseray Balli whom they helped raise, and 21 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and six sisters, Charlie Gallegos, Frankie Gallegos, and Dallas Gallegos, Jr., all of Ogden; Celina (Jose) Jaramillo, Las Vegas, NM; Vicentita "Shanie" Perez and Margie Gomez, both of Ogden; Connie (Juan) Florez, Roy; AnnaJane (Charles) Arroyo, and Yvonne Devlin, Ogden. Art was preceded in death by one infant son, Rickey D. Gibbs, Todd Montgomery FRUIT HEIGHTS - Todd Montgomery Gibbs our hero and friend fulfilled his earthly mission on July 6, 2005 passing away in Riverside, California. Todd was born on October 31, 1974 in St. Louis, Missouri to Richard and Connie Gibbs. Todd attended Davis High and was currently working for CR England. He loved his job and enjoyed traveling all over the United States. Todd had a great love for life and an uncommon love and compassion for his family and friends. Todd was the light of our lives, and possessed a pure tender heart. He had a great sense of humor, always very happy, and his quick wit and humor always kept everyone laughing. He lived for Easton and Sierra (his nephew and niece) and always brought lots of presents to them when he would come home to visit. He was a wonderful unselfish example of charity and kindness. He had a smile that could light up any room. Todd loved his mountain biking experiences especially assembling his own bikes with special racing parts . He raced downhill mountain bikes and had three sponsors. He won many races with enthusiasm and determination. Todd was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We will miss seeing his smile and hearing him laugh. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered for his endearing charm and gentle manner. He is in a better place and finally reunited with his father whom he missed and loved so much. We entrust him to our Heavenly Father's keeping and anxiously await the day when we will see his smile and hear him laugh again. Todd is survived by his mother, Connie Montgomery Gibbs, his father preceded him in death in 1982, his sister, Gina (Cory) Hendrickson, Salem, Utah; his brother, Tosh Richard Gibbs, Las Vegas, Nevada; and his favorite nephew and niece, Easton and Sierra Hendrickson. Montierth, Roy W. OGDEN - Roy Wesley Montierth, 81, died Sunday, July 10, 2005 at his home in Ogden. He was born November 20, 1923 in Ogden, a son of Vernon Brown and Ellen Skinner Montierth. He graduated in 1942 from Ogden High School and was a lifelong resident of Ogden. On April 20, 1949, Roy married Erma Clara Stokes in Salt Lake City. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Eastern States Mission. He held stake and ward positions including counselor to two Bishops, Stake High Council member, Stake Missionary and Gospel Doctrine instructor. He also worked in the Temple. Roy served with the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Mississippi during World War II. He worked for Pillsbury Mills, the Union Pacific Laundry and Smith & Edwards. Roy's enjoyment was spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Erma, of Ogden; 10 children, Alan (Anne), Salt Lake City; Brad (Cathy), Pleasant View; David (Lorie), Laguna Niguel, CA; John, S outh Ogden; Reed (Michelle), Layton; Darin (Jana), Clovis, CA; Glade (Laura), Clinton; Tracy (Glenda), McKinney, TX; Marilyn (Fred) Linford, Washington Terrace; Colleen (Terry) Hamblin, Gridley, CA; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Montierth, Ogden; 45 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Munford OGDEN - Ann Munford, 72, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2005 to join her beloved Lloyd, who left this earth on January 28, 2004. She was born December 13, 1932 in Cumberland, Ohio, a daughter of Oscar Lyle and Clara Belle Yerian Moore. She graduated from Cumberland High School and later served with the Women's U.S. Army Corp during the Korean Conflict. Ann married Lloyd Munford on February 8, 1953 in Denver, Colorado. They had five children: Mike and Carol Munford, Ogden; Lyle and Tracy Munford, Ogden; Melanie Munford, Ogden; Maryanne and David Strain, Clearfield; Glenna and Bob Bachman, Moro, IL. She is survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She and her husband had lived in the Ogden area for over 30 years. They also resided in Cedar City, Utah and Henderson, Nevada. Ann retired from Morton International in 1996 and the Internal Revenue Service in 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and sister-in-law, and one nephew. She was born October 23, 1908 to Lavar Colton and Edward Clifton Samuels in Vernal, Utah. Married L.C. "Boots" Simmons who preceded her in death on May 25, 1964. Married Fred Painter in 1976 also preceded her in death. Beulah was a very strong and energetic lady with an enormous heart. She was an avid bowler and participated for many years in numerous leagues while living in Ogden. She was very active member and supporter of BPOE "Does" for years. Beulah was a dedicated and committed employee of the Fred M. Nye Co. until her retirement and subsequent relocation to Nephi, UT. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, and husbands. She is survived by her son (nephew) Cliff, grandchildren, and stepchildren, Jim Painter and Ranee Peterson and their families. For those I love, For those who love me, When I am gone, releas e me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do, you must not tie yourself to me with tears. I gave you my love. You can only guess how much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve awhile for me.
