She was born in Upalco, UT on February 25, 1922, to Henry Levi and Vernetta Marett Mitchell. Married Wann V. George on November 26, 1945, later divorced. Married Robert Houston Gilbreath September 19, 1971, he died 1982. Married Harry R. Barney May 6, 1989, he died 1993. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Marie (John) Bartholomew, eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, brothers and sister, Violet Jordan Jensen, Roy L. Mitchell, Gerald L. Mitchell, and Clinton Mitchell. Dewey, John Eldon OGDEN - John Eldon Dewey, 90, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005 in Ogden, Utah. John was born December 27, 1914, in Deweyville, UT, the son of John Alfred and Lillian Loveland Dewey. He was raised in Deweyville; Almo, Idaho; and Brigham City, Utah, before moving to Ogden in 1929. He attended Lewis Jr., Mound Fort Jr., and Ogden High Schools. John loved the outdoors, and his favorite memory was of a summer and winter spent in Wyoming when he was 15. In 1936 and 1937 he worked for Terteling & Sons Construction Co. on the highline canals, which skirt the foothills east of Ogden. He also worked for the State Road Commission. In 1940, he went to work for the Construction Quartermaster at the newly established supply depot on 12th Street, later to become Defense Depot Ogden. He helped lay most of the water and sewer pipe on the depot. In 1942 he entered Civil Service, and continued until June 1973, when he retired from Defense Depot Ogden. On November 8, 1938, he married Edit h Emma Zabriskie; they were divorced in 1966. On September 12, 1969, he married LaMar Hammon Carver. After retirement, John and LaMar enjoyed fishing and camping trips and golf. Golf with his regular noon-time buddies and gardening became his favorite activities in his later years. His sweetheart LaMar died July 11, 2004. John was a High Priest in the Lorin Farr 4th Ward. He is survived by his sister Vera Morse, brother Doyle Lamar Dewey, children and stepchildren JoAnne D. Parker, John C. (JoAnne) Dewey, Gary L. (Maxine) Dewey, Teri Christine (Paul) Avondet, Bryan E. (Kelly) Dewey, Geraldine Noble, Joyce (Roland) Burk, Robert (Anne) Carver, 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Evenson, Bonita June Bonita June Evenson, 83, passed away July 14, 2005 in Centerville, Utah. She was born June 22, 1922 in Lyons, Kansas the daughter of Floyd and Ella Michaelis Shumway. She married John Henry Evenson Jr. on June 5, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He later died May 14, 1970. Bonita has lived in Centerville for the past 54 years. Throughout her life she was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including Primary president, Temple worker and Relief Society Secretary. She served a mission from 1976 to 1978 in New England. She was the world's best candy maker, and enjoyed genealogy work, canning and croquet work. Bonita loved to serve others and would volunteer at Lakeview Hospital. She is survived by one son: Michael (Ruth Ann) Evenson of Seattle Washington and one daughter: Kristine Evenson of Centerville, Utah, and Geniel Evenson daughter-in-law of Centerville, Utah, 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren , sister Pauline Jacobsen of Mesquite, Nevada; Twyla Mae Peters of Layton, Utah; and brother William Shumway of Layton, Utah. Preceded in death by her husband John Henry Evenson Jr., son Bryant Shumway Evenson and two grandsons, Timothy and Quinten Evenson. Oxborrow, Stanley Bryant NORTH OGDEN - Stanley Bryant Oxborrow, 69, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2005 at Flaming Gorge, a place he loved and near to home. He died of an apparent heart attack while surrounded by people he loved. Stan was born on July 30, 1935 in Caliente, NV to Joseph Bryant and Leah Oxborrow. He married Carol Sue Clements on April 18, 1958, they were later divorced. He married Barbara Louise Upp on April 24, 1992. He graduated from the University of Utah. He worked and retired from HAFB as a metallurgical engineer and later worked for Thiokol. Stan loved life and was willing to help anyone at any time. He was very generous with his time and knew the importance of helping others. He also loved to travel, play golf with his sons and enjoyed gardening, fishing and making stained glass with his wife Barbara. They were always together. His accomplishments were many, including raising four children. He is survived by his wife Barbara, his children Suzanne (Ni ck) Tovar, Sacramento, CA; Doug (Julie) Oxborrow, Roy; Melissa (Byron) Copeland, Brigham City; Jeffrey (Tonia) Oxborrow, Syracuse; Lisa Cassity, Lori (Brian) Bott, Leslie (Kevin) Farnsworth, Lance (Heidi) Perry all of North Ogden; two brothers, J. Rueben Oxborrow of Deweyville and Gordon S.Oxborrow of Minnesota. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rae Blackburn and his parents. Richins, Suesann Wilde HENEFER, UT - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and loved one Suesann Wilde Richins, 63, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2005 surrounded by her family to whom she was so devoted. She was born January 23, 1942 in Coalville, UT to Fred Robinson Wilde and Ruth Smith Wilde. She was a member of the LDS Church. She married Dennis J. Richins on July 21, 1961 in the Salt Lake Temple. Suesann lived life to the fullest. She loved spending time in the outdoors; camping, fishing on the Bear River, horseback riding, hunting and four-wheeling. She was an excellent homemaker and mother. She was an accomplished artist, Some of her favorite pastimes were gardening, travel, and taking photographs. Her family brought her much happiness. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. During her 63 years she touched many lives. Her courage in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Suesann is survived by her husband Dennis, Henefer; her children Natalie (Orrin), Evanston; Dallas (Sherie), Kaysville; Kory (Shelley), Henefer; Audrie (Todd), Henefer; Brandon (Brooke), Peoa. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, three sisters; Lynda, Kathryn, Stephanie, brother Kirk, and her mother-in-law Erma S. Richins. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister Christine. We would like to extend a message of gratitude to her many supportive friends and family. Stoddart, Bruce Allen Bruce Allen Stoddart, age 53, passed away enjoying life riding his Harley on July 12, 2005 in Emmett, Idaho. Bruce was born November 5, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Herb and Norma Stoddart. He graduated from West High School. He married Donnette Dillon on December 15, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Donnette was his "Loving, Harley Riding Partner" for over 20 years. Bruce loved his girls more than life itself. His greatest joy was to watch their sporting events. He worked for the railroad for 34 years. Bruce is survived by his sweetheart, Donnette; daughters, Molly Mae, Michelle Abby and Mandy (Darren) Powell; parents, Herb and Norma Stoddart; brothers, Lynn (Lorraine), Glen (Margaret) and Kent (Valari), and grandchild, Connelly. Talbot, Hilda Carter SOUTH OGDEN - Hilda Carter Crittenden Evans Talbot, our beloved mother and grandmother, departed this life for a better one on Thursday, July 14, 2005. She was born March 2, 1914 in Porterville, Utah, a daughter of Heber and Olive Adella Porter Carter. On June 4, 1932, Hilda married Victor Joy Crittenden and they had three children. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Joy died June 15, 1949. Hilda married Robert Clark Evans on August 14, 1954. He died November 22, 1962. She married Willis Talbot on October 16, 1965 and he died October 17, 1978. Hilda was a very caring person. Her life was one of service to others. Her grandchildren have fond memories of Easter egg hunts, angel food cakes for birthdays and her special fruit cakes for Christmas. She was a tremendous fisherwoman and enjoyed hunting, sewing and quilting. Hilda is survived by two daughters and one son, Barbara (Merle) Lindley, South Ogden; Ruby (Clyde) Sowell , Centerville; Ralph (Marsha) Crittenden, Croyden, UT; 11 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother-in-law, Jay Porter, Morgan, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ray and Arthur, and five sisters, Ruby, Afton, Ida, Vera and FloraBelle.
