She was born on June 26, 1980 to Shelly Short in Layton, Utah. She married Joseph R. Baum on September 27, 2001. She enjoyed raising her sons and living life to the fullest. Shantel is survived by her husband Joseph, sons Skyler Baum, Tristan Short and Dylan Baum, also surviving is brother Travis Short, mother, Shelly Short, dad Robert Gravitt and grandparents Dan and Iris Short, great-grandma Velma Thompson, and Uncle Kelly and Aunt Lori Bartlett, Uncle Frank Short, Uncle Steve Short, sister Michelle and other aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and other brothers and sisters. Clark, Richard Thomas "Butch" Richard "Butch" Thomas Clark Born June 18, 1951. Died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on July 19, 2005. He was born in Ogden, Utah the son of Rulon G. Clark and Lola Clark. He served in the Army and was an active member of N.A. and is an elder in the LDS Church. He is survived by his mother and his two children, Kim (Dan) Gentry and Richard T. (Kiri) Clark II, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, three brothers, Steve, Doug (Wendy), and Mark (Victor), lots of nieces and nephews (Don Salonis and Keith Karr), and his life long friend Candy, who will all miss him very much. NORTH OGDEN - Our beloved Pamela Bell Colvell, 50, returned to the arms of her Father in Heaven on Tuesday, July 19, 2005. She was born July 29, 1954 in Ogden, the daughter of Doreen Eversole and Thomas K. Bell. Pamela attended schools in Sunset and graduated with honors from Weber High School. Pam married Rick Visser and they had one son, Erick, now deceased. They later divorced. She married Val Wheelwright and they had a daughter, Regina. They later divorced. She married Rodney Hammon and had a son Clay. They later divorced. She recently divorced Todd Colvell of Ogden. Pam was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints North Ogden 4th Ward. She worked many years at Harmons Grocery Store and several years at Excel Convenience Store. Pam was a hard worker and a talented writer of short stories and poems. She enjoyed bowling, shooting pool and family gatherings. Pam is survived by her parents; son, Clay (Stephanie) Hammon, Ogden; daughter, Regi na (Joe) Faxon, Ogden; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Cheryl Tolson (Ken Hines), Green River, WY; Kevin Bell, Price, UT; Martha (Bob) Neil, Layton, UT; Sandra Zini, and Judith (Cris) Haugan, both of Oregon; and Gerald (Coleen) Eversole, West Valley, UT. She was preceded in death by her son, Erick Visser and her stepfather, Sandy Eversole. Published in the Standard-Examiner on 7/22/2005. Guy, Frances Roberta Lowe Frances Roberta Lowe Guy passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2005. She was born July 27, 1920, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She was raised in Lyons, Colorado and graduated from Lyons High School in May 1938. She worked for her Grandpa and Grandma Kincaid at the Burlington Hotel in Lyons through most of her high school years until she was married in 1940. She met her husband, James Callan Guy, by taking him meals from the hotel to the gas station where he worked. They were married on July 15, 1940 in Boulder, Colorado. They moved to Layton, Utah in November of 1942 where he worked at Hill Field. In 1949, they moved to their home in Washington Terrace. She has five children; Frances Calleen (Lee) Gray of East Carbon, Ut., Wayne Allen (Deena) Guy of Riverdale, Deborah Jean (Tony) Hain of Woodinville, Wa., and twins, Stanley Mike (Susan) Guy of North Logan and Steven Mark (Shirley) Guy of South Ogden. She is also survived by three sisters and one broth er, Willmo Stangl, Anna Olson, Irene Berry, and Howard Lowe Jr. all of Colorado. Also surviving is a son in law, Brent Cottle. She worked for a couple of years at Schroders cafeteria in Denver while her husband served his country, and then spent the rest of her time home raising her family. She spent her last few years going to the Washington Terrace Senior Citizen's center and attending church. Some of her favorite pastimes were knitting, crocheting and ceramics. She is survived by her children; 19 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Guy and grandson, Bryce Guy. Macy, Michele Marie WEST JORDAN - Our greatly beloved wife, daughter, granddaughter and sister, Michele Marie Macy, departed this earth unexpectedly on Monday, July 18, 2005. She was born February 3, 1966, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a daughter of Stephen and Christine Latus Macy. She and her parents moved to California and then to Ogden, Utah, where she attended local grade schools and St. Joseph's High School. She later graduated from the University of Utah as a licensed pharmacist and worked at many Salt Lake City area stores. Michele was intelligent, kind and generous. She was active in many social and charitable causes. She loved her cats, books, music, tennis and hiking. Michele's dry wit and wonderful sense of humor was enjoyed by all who knew her. McBridge, Melba Taylor OGDEN - Melba Taylor McBride, 89, died July 20, 2005 at the Mountain Ridge Assisted Living from a series of strokes. Melba was born January 20, 1916, in Ogden, a daughter of Junius and Mabel O. Taylor. She was a member of the LDS Church, and was educated in the Weber County Schools. She enjoyed playing the piano for Weber High's Seminary, and participating in Weber High's "Pep Club." On February 8, 1934, Melba married Leonard A. McBride. In their early marriage, Melba worked as a professional seamstress for Utah Tailoring Mills (many individuals call on Melba to make their gowns, dance costumes, and dress suits). In the 1940's and 1950's Melba and Leonard owned and operated "McBride's Grocery Store." In the 1960's and 1970's Melba worked as a supervisor for the I.R.S.(retiring at I.R.S.) Mother was a marvelous cook! Her family loved her recipe's flavors and presentation. Mother enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, dancing in dance organizations with dad, bridge and pinochle clubs, family reunions, cruises, and just hanging out with Gilbert and Zelda, Lawrence and Vivian at the Newgate Mall. Mother was a gracious, charming, supportive lady that everybody loved and admired. We will miss her! Murphy, Robert Milton BRIGHAM CITY - Robert Milton Murphy, 78, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at a local care center. He was born December 29, 1926, in Logan, Utah, to Jesse Columbus and Mary Ross Smith Murphy. He was raised and educated in Logan. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On June 10, 1947, Robert married Emma Lucy Andersen in Elko, Nevada. She died May 5, 1991. They lived in Washington Terrace for 10 years before moving to Brigham City in 1990. Robert was a member of the Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling with his wife. Robert is survived by his sons, Judd Murphy, Brigham City; Robert (Kaye) Murphy, Glendale, Arizona; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild; four sisters, Lola (Eldon) Hansen, Brigham City; Margaret E. Tams, Logan; Mary K. Roskelley, Smithfield; and Carole Lisombee, Logan. He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother, Jess, two sisters, Eva Larson and Dorothy Church. Pack, Robert Alan Robert Alan Pack, 25, moved on to his next adventure July 14, 2005 while attending college in Tallahassee, Florida. Alan was born June 17, 1980 to Robert Pack and Renae Giggey in Salt Lake City. Alan was a risk taker, always looking for a new adventure. He excelled at everything he attempted. He was a writer, artist, musician, athlete, comedian, and a best friend to all who knew him. Alan was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1998 with several National merit awards and honors. He went on to the University of Utah studying in the pre-med program, after which he transferred to Florida State. He was working toward a double major in biology and chemistry. Alan's goal was to become a neurologist. He said that was the only thing that made sense to him. Alan will always be remembered for his quick wit, his sarcasm, hilarious stories with facial expressions to make anyone laugh, singing and playing his guitar, and his ability t o win every argument by using big words that no one else knew. Those who knew Alan best found him to be loving, loyal, and caring. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Alan always knew just how to get a reaction from people. Alan is survived by his mother; stepfather, Dave Medina; sisters, Lisa Kilpatrick (Jim), Marianne Hammaker, Trisha World, Sherry Hollman (Adam), brothers; Justin Black, Gary Pack (Susan), David Pack (Michelle), step-brothers; Jamie Medina, Brett Medina, grandparents; Elmer and Lorna Giggey, Reed and Peggy Black; many aunts, uncles, cousins, 21 nieces and nephews, and a plethora of friends.
