Kenneth T. Adams The cows have been fed And the hay's in the barn, We're ready for winter Down at the farm. Dad was always a ranching master, Now he's returned to a Greener Pasture. Kenneth Thomas Adams, 90, of Porterville, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2005, of causes of incident to age. He was born on April 5th, 1915 in Porterville, Utah, to Hyrum Thomas & Alice Maude Saxelby Adams. He was the second of a family of five children. Kenneth was a graduate of Morgan High School. He married Gwendolyn Geary on June 7, 1935, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had 62 years together before Gwen passed away in 1997. Kenneth worked at the Ideal Cement Plant for 47 years before he retired in 1980. He also ran a mink farm and raised cattle. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many different positions throughout his life. He is survived by his eight children: Connie (Dean) Hanney of Layton; Alice Preece, Iris (Kay) Heiner, Marcia (Gar y) Leak all of Morgan; Sylvia (Doug) Germer of British Columbia, Canada; Ken (Marie) Adams, Les (Gaylene) Adams, and Chet (Joan) Adams all of Morgan. He is also survived by 38 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren (with three on the way), and 8 great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Ronald S. Adams. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Gwen; one son-in-law, Edward L. (Lloyd) Preece; two grandchildren, Lori Heiner Webster and Matt Germer; and one great-great-granddaughter, Haylie Caldwell. He was loved and admired by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 1, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the Morgan 5th Ward Chapel in Porterville. Viewings will be held Sunday, July 31, 2005, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Morgan and Monday, August 1, 2005, from 9:45 to 10:45 at the Morgan 5th Ward Chapel in Porterville. Bugger, Annabelle Annabelle Bugger, 92, beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away Monday July 25, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born in Tacoma, Nevada on November 2, 1912, a daughter of Lewis J. Petty and Sarah Ann Reese Petty. She married Mario Lommori July 28, 1938 in Carlin, Nevada. He died December 17, 1945. Married John J. Bugger January 29, 1947 in Reno, Nevada. He died May 30, 1984. The joys of her life were her family, her home and her friends. She loved doing hand work and doing things for others. Her sweet personality and humor will be missed by all those who know her. She is survived by a daughter Judy (Larry) Bianucci, Henderson, Nevada. Burton Child, 86, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at the Heritage Park Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 2, 1919, in Ogden, Utah, to Nephi Albert and Mary N. Flinders Burton. She attended Ogden City Schools. On February 17, 1937, Netta married Mark Lynne Child in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on February 15, 1964. Mark passed away December 5, 1991. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the gospel. Netta and Mark served two LDS missions to West Virginia/Ohio and Las Vegas. They also served in the Ogden LDS Temple. She loved people unconditionally. Netta is survived by four sons and two daughters, Sharon (Loyal) Child, West Haven; Myron (Geri) Child, Portland, OR; Francis (Diane) Child, Syracuse; Judy (Ron) Pierce, Farr West; Mark E. Child, Ogden; Rodney (Judy) Child, West Haven; 23 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren and four more on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and four brothers. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the love and care she was shown from the nursing staff at Heritage Park Care Center. DeGroot, Jeanette RIVERDALE - Jeanette Carter DeGroot, 64, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2005 at her home in Riverdale from complications of an illness. She was born March 5, 1941 in Ogden, a daughter of Lyman Lloyd and Minnie Boekweg Carter. She lived her entire life in the Ogden area. Jeanette married her sweetheart, Jerry DeGroot, on May 19, 1958 in Malad, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on January 26, 1960. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She was happiest when she was busy in the Lord's work. She made many eternal friendships. Jeanette's greatest joy was spending time with Jerry and her family. She dedicated her life to her family and enjoyed watching the children and grandchildren grow. She also enjoyed times spent with her sisters and their husbands, traveling to the Oregon Coast, and time spent on the golf course. A host of lifetime friends, including the Rauzi's, were ve ry dear and a great support. We are grateful to Dr. Seth Lewis, Natalie and Tanna, for their compassionate care. Also thanks to the Community Nursing Service for the care by Brenda and Shelly. Surviving are her husband, Jerry, of Riverdale; four children: Melody (Scott) McCoard, Cedar City; Darren (Rhonda) DeGroot, Roy; Steve (Dana) DeGroot, Washington Terrace; Ron (Lori) DeGroot, Roy; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters. Jones, Betty Lou Betty Lou Jones 1933 - 2005 LAYTON - Betty Lou Jones, 71, passed away July 28, 2005. She was born in Vernal, Utah on September 3, 1933 to George and Leoan Williams. On December 27, 1993, she married her love and best friend, John Jones. Betty is preceded in death by her parents and an older sister Dora and a husband Raymond P. Howe. She is survived by her current husband John, three children, Cynthia Christensen of Morgan, Jeannette Moklofsky of Eden and Richard Howe of South Weber, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her two sisters, Irene Pettingill of Roy and Billie Mae Harris of Kaysville. Betty enjoyed traveling throughout the country with her husband and delighted in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her family wishes to give special thanks to the doctors and staff at McKay-Dee Hospital for their care and support in Betty's extended stay in their facility. Workman, Wesley Harold KAYSVILLE - Wesley Harold Workman, 86, passed away July 28, 2005 in Bountiful, Utah from natural causes. He was born October 23, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ireta Goddard and Ray Ovington Workman. Wes graduated from West High School and attended the U of U. He married Marian Emerson, divorced and they had one son Wesley Allen Workman. He served for four years in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II and was awarded several medals for bravery and service beyond the call of duty. He later enlisted in the U.S. Army and participated in the Korean War. During his military career, he served in numerous countries and retired after 25 years in the military. He later married Betty Lou Jacobsen in the Salt Lake Temple. His parents, son, brother, Ray Goddard Workman and sister, Lucile Workman Cherrington preceded him in death. Wes is survived by his wife Betty, step-children Monty Foster and Rosemarie Bialaski and their families, and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
