She was born April 13, 1954 in Downey, Idaho, a daughter of Rex W. and Norma Harris Parris. She was raised and educated in Ogden, where she lived several years and worked for Old Home Bakery and the Big Nickle. The past few years she resided in Pocatello. Carolyn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her parents of Downey; a brother; Daniel (Annette); sisters; Janet (Rick) Casanova; Sandra (Tommy) House; one niece and eight nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 25, 2005 at 12 noon in Horsley's Marsh Valley Funeral Home 570 N. Meadowview Drive, Arimo, Idaho (I-15 north bound Exit #40). D'Agostino, Joseph Joseph D'AgostinoWe mourn the loss of our loving husband, father, grandfather and decorated veteran who passed away at his home on June 21, 2005. He served his country valiantly for more than 20 years, beginning at the age of 16 with three years in the U.S. Navy, stationed aboard the U.S.S. Missouri at Iwo Jima. He spent the remainder of his honorable career in the United States Air Force. After tours of duty including Japan, Korea, Philippines and Germany, he retired as a Master Sergeant from Norton Air Force Base, San Bernardino, California in 1965. He then worked as a GS-9 at Hill Air Force Base and as a Deputy Sheriff for Davis County, Utah. Our father loved his country and his flag, which he flew every day of his life. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 30 years, Virginia Flippen D'Agostino, and his ten beloved children: Aneita (Johnny) Kendall; Sandra Negrete (Larry); Debra Girardo; JoAnn (Blake) D'Agostino-Minardi; Jene Formaro; Mark Kappen; Terry-Lynn D'Agostino (Stephen); Ma rianne Ruiz (Gary); Annie Wolfe and Gina (Paul) D'Agostino-Quattrociocchi; and their mothers, Verneita Wolfe (Deceased) and Grace Jaime; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, as well as brother Phillip and two caring sisters-in-law, Cheryl Flippen Sadiq and Anita Flippen White. Green, Mack D. Mack D. Green 7/5/1934 - 6/19/2005 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Mack lived his faith and has now finished the race and is at peace and home with our Lord. He was born July 5, 1934 to Robert and Mattie Green in McAlester, Oklahoma. He graduated from Bacone College in Oklahoma and has been a missionary ever since, working with native peoples in Kansas, New Mexico, California, and Alaska. His heart has always been for the people and he died while serving at the Ute Indian Baptist Church in Fort Duchesne, Utah. "My Mack, I am so thankful for the time we had together. You were my husband, but more importantly you were my friend, my mentor, and the one who kept me on track by the way you lived your life. You have touched so many lives in your service for the Lord, that I am certain you are hearing "Well done, good and faithful servant." I love you my Mack and will miss your presence here like crazy, but am comforted by the c ertainty that we will be together again. Your loving wife, Jan. Jensen, Albert Cardon OGDEN - Albert Cardon Jensen, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2005 of a heart attack at the age of 76. Cardon was born to Albert Percy and Katie Cardon Jensen, February 27, 1929 in Clearfield, Utah. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints and he graduated from Weber High School. Cardon retired after 43 years of devoted service to Farmers Grain Coop. Cardon also worked part-time for Dayton Disposal and Waste Management and most recently Young Chevrolet. He was a great friend and a family man. Cardon will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Cardon loved the outdoors and taking care of his cabin and the 20 acres of land that he loved to groom. He enjoyed golf, snowmobiling and hunting with his sons and grandsons. Cardon is survived by his childhood sweetheart, wife of 57 years Bettie Dayton Jensen; their five children, Peggy (Joe) Peterson, Uintah; Steven (Debbie) Jensen, Hooper; Ken (Dorie) Jensen, Roy; Debra Jensen, Ogden and Tim ( Tricia ) Jensen, West Haven. 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Ketcham, Kathleen Layton Kathleen Layton Ketcham SOUTH OGDEN - Our loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter returned to her Heavenly Father June 21, 2005 at McKay-Dee Hospital after a valiant battle with a lengthy illness. She was born February 27, 1959 in Ogden, Utah to Roy and Janell Steed Layton. Kathy married her eternal sweetheart, Jeffrey J. Ketcham on March 11, 1978. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple. They were blessed to have three beautiful children; Brady, Jennifer, and Tyler. Kathy graduated from Davis High School where she was a member of the Drill Team. Kathy's life was devoted to raising and loving her children. She also had many nieces and nephews she loved and adored. Kathy enjoyed scrap booking and various types of painting and cross-stitching. She loved using her creative and artistic touch. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as the Primary and Young Women's President and also held various callings in the Primary. She is survived by her husband, Jeff, her children; Brady (Lindsey) Ketcham, Riverdale, Tyler, South Ogden, and Jennifer (Rory) Borchert, Syracuse, her parents, Roy and Jenell Layton, one brother, Craig (Colette) Layton of Kaysville, one sister Debbie (C.T.) Normington of Layton, and her aunt Jeanne Layton (Kaysville). Kathy was preceded by her father-in-law, Cliff Ketcham. Kathy's heart was fuller than life and she will be greatly missed. She loved children and the joy they brought to her life. She will be remembered for her bubbly and contagious laugh. The family would like to thank Drs. Lewis, Richard Belnap Richard Belnap Lewis HOOPER - Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandpa, Richard Belnap Lewis, passed away at the home of his daughter in Hooper Monday, June 20, 2005 of complications from diabetes and heart disease. He was born April 9, 1925 in Delta and grew up in Hooper. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy during WW II in the South Pacific. On June 18, 1946 he married his sweetheart Florence Taylor in the Salt Lake Temple and just celebrated 59 years together. He retired from Defense Depot after 35 years of service. He was an active member of the Hooper 4th Ward and served in the Bishopric, the High Council and loved working in the Ogden Temple. He enjoyed working with the Explorers and Cub Scouts and influenced many lives. He also enjoyed gardening, camping and fishing with family. He and his wife spent the winters in Arizona. He is survived by his loving wife Florence and his children, Marsha and Randy Felter of Hooper; Connie and Lloyd Noyes of Fill more; Russell and Janell Lewis and Cathy and Garland Fahrner all of Clearfield. He had 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren with two more on the way. A brother Ted and sister Bette survive him. He was preceded in death by a daughter Trudy, son-in-law Kit Jenkins, brothers, Bill and Jim. GEORGE, Utah - Alma Dale Monson, age 91, passed away unexpectedly on Father's Day, Sunday, June 19, 2005. He was born November 28, 1913, in Preston, Idaho, the third of 10 children, to Alma Hyrum and Margaret Ena Peterson Monson. Dale married Dayle S. Jensen on August 30, 1939, in the Salt Lake Temple. He attended schools in Preston, Idaho. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Central States from 1936 to 1938. Dale held many positions in the Church, including bishop of the Ogden 61st Ward and Weber Heights Stake High Council. He served as an ordinance worker in the Ogden and St. George Temples. Dale worked at Farmers Grain Cooperative for 42 years, retiring in 1982. After his retirement, he worked as a sales representative for Seedboro Corp. in Chicago, Illinois. He moved to St. George in 1992. His interests included fishing, playing golf, and supporting his sons and grandchildren in their various activities. He was very active right up until his death. Surviving family include his wife, Dayle, of St. George; sons, Buggs (JoAnn) and Terry (Shelley), of St. George, and Bob (Susan), of South Weber; eight grandchildren, Dan (Sandy) and Chad (Vicki - deceased), of West Jordan, Ryan (Marlene) and Cory, of South Weber, Tyler (Aimee), of Uintah, Matt (Jeny) and Adam, of St. George, McCall (Christian) Morrison, of Laie, HI; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mada Larsen, Dean Edwards, and Connie (Martell) Rawlings, all of Preston, ID, Cleone (Harold) Jones, of Rexburg, ID, and Barbara Rinderknecht, of Providence, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Ena, and siblings, Norma Murray, Louise Hendricks, Rheal, and Garth Monson. Published in the Standard-Examiner from 6/22/2005 - 6/23/2005. Packham, John Earl OGDEN - John Earl Packham, 91, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2005 of cancer at his home in Ogden, Utah. Earl was born April 30, 1914 in Acequia, Idaho, a son of former North Ogden residents W. J. and Luella Hickenlooper Packham, the fifth of 12 children. The family moved to Camas County, Idaho, in 1917. Earl attended the University of Idaho and from 1935 to 1938 served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the North Central States, where he met Leona Draper from Ogden. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on January 29, 1941, and lived near Fairfield, Idaho for 24 years, moving to Ogden in 1968. He and Leona enjoyed a beautiful life together and he was Leona's devoted caregiver for seven years until she died on August 8, 1998. After Leona's passing, Earl met Gladys Wayment while they both served at the Ogden Family History Center. They were married on May 30, 2000 in the Ogden Temple. Gladys has been a wonderful companion to him and a loving caregiver through his final illness. Earl loves his Savior Jesus Christ. Besides his mission to the Midwest, Earl and Leona together served four missions for their church (a stake mission in Idaho, a full-time mission at the Oakland Temple Visitors' Center, and two family history missions in Ogden). Earl and Gladys served a stake mission in the Washington Terrace Stake. He also served as a home teacher, bishop, high councilor, ward clerk, and numerous other callings. He loved being with people, especially his family, serving however he could, being outdoors, farming and raising dairy cattle, gardening and reading westerns. He was a warm and loving man with a ready smile and a fun sense of humor, and he will be greatly missed. Earl is survived by his children Carol (Gerhard) Schill, Lynn (Louann) Packham, Naida (Don) Koelliker, his 14 grandchildren; his 16 great-grandchildren; and the eight living children of Gladys and Wes Wayment; Marsha Wardell, Joan (David) Creamer, Cheryl Slaughter, Blake (Chris) Wayment, Gay (Richard) Hansen, Mark (Wendy) Wayment, Thad Wayment, and Kari (Christian) Coty; their 35 grandchildren; and their 43 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ogden 49th Ward, 4210 South 300 West, Riverdale, Ogden. He lived in California and moved to Ogden, Utah two months ago. He is survived by his family; also his fiancee, Rosa Flores, his daughters, Alize, two years old and Patricia, one year old, and a newborn baby daughter, Krystal Rodriguez. She was born on October 9, 1924 in Ogden to Lay Fayette Stephens and Ella May Wright. She was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School. She married Melvin Baker on May 12, 1942 and solemnized later in the Logan Temple 1943. They were later divorced. She then married Ben Vigil in 1961. Velma worked as a Nurses Aid in San Francisco and doing Laundry at the Ogden Railroad. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed traveling and singing. She spent over 14 years in vocal training. She is survived by her children; Valerie A. Baker, Dantzel K. Gonzales, Margie F. Southworth, Dean M. Baker, and Susan L. Thorsted, and one sister, Lillian S. Lickey. Velma was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Curt, and her sister, Nedra Jessop. Williams, Edward Mark Edward Mark Williams, 59, a resident of Spokane for the last 12 years, passed away June 16, 2005 in Spokane, WA. He was born September 23, 1945 in Ogden, UT. Attended Ogden High School and Weber State in Ogden, UT. Ed served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965. He was the master designer and builder of custom street rods for over 40 years, and the owner of Street Rod Ranch. He enjoyed watching westerns, was a gourmet chef, and was an extremely unique friend. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Schoppe on April 28, 2003. Survivors include mother, Margaret Hadley, stepfather, Derlin, both of Ogden, UT; sisters, Gloria Berrett and Judy Holt (Martin), also of Ogden, UT; Debbie Hestop (John) of Clinton, UT and Candyce Bushell of Ogden, UT; best friend and special nephew, Nathan Colman of Ogden, UT; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; kids Silvarado and Valentine.
