Dad was born December 13, 1933 in Wales, Utah, the son of Peter Grant and LaFonda King Anderson. Dad grew up in Wales and attended school in Moroni. He also attended Snow College in Ephraim where he was a member of the basketball team. He married his best friend and the love of his life, Arlene Potter, on July 18, 1958. Dad and Mom lived in Wales, Ephraim, and Pleasant View before moving to Malad City, Idaho. Keith served with the U.S. Army for two years and was stationed in Eliason, Alaska. Dad and Mom owned and operated Weber Livestock Auction in Ogden from 1972 to 1997. They sold the business and retired to Malad in the summer and Phoenix, Arizona in the winter where they trained and raced their horses at Turf Paradise. Dad enjoyed traveling, buying and selling cattle, racing horses, and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid fan of his children and grandchildren in sports, rodeos and horse racing. He was a friend to all who knew him and will be missed by all. We cherished the time we had with him. He will live in our hearts forever. Dad is survived by his five children, Jerry (Teddy) Anderson, Plain City; Connie (Bart) Hone and Dale Anderson, both of Phoenix, AZ; Kaylene (Jeff) Kirkpatrick, Hesperia, CA; Debbie (Doug) Harbertson, Plain City; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister and one brother, Gwen McGarry, Ephraim, UT; LaGrande (Mildred) Anderson, San Jose, CA; and Arlene's sister, Diane, and two brothers, Don and Merrill and his loving friend, Vonna Saxton, Smithfield, UT. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Arlene Potter Anderson, his mother and father, three brother-in-laws, Rawlin Jacobson, Wendell McGarry, and Dean Potter. Biddle, Camilla Roskelley Camilla Roskelley Biddle GARLAND - Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and best friend, Camilla Roskelley Biddle passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at Brigham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brigham, Utah in her sleep. She had struggled with heart disease for several years. She was born August 29, 1942 in Logan, Cache, Utah to Marlin and Luella Roskelley of Smithfield. She attended North Cache High School, Richmond, Utah, and graduated from Bear River High in Garland. On Nov. 2, 1959, she married Sidney Biddle in Salt Lake City, Utah. On Nov. 2, 1960, they were sealed together in the Logan Temple. They have lived in various places, including Collinston, Tremonton, Brigham, Smithfield, and Corinne, Utah, finally settling in Garland. She was active in the church up until the time her heart started to give out. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and doing Genealogy work. She has made several lovely afghans and other pieces for many of her dear friends and relatives. She had work ed at several restaurants in the area, on the Flares at Thiokol, and did housekeeping for several local hotels. She was always getting involved in little projects for her children and her friends' children. In her later years, she and Sid had gone on a cruise to the Caribbean, took a car trip to Wyoming, South Dakota, Louisiana, and one to Oregon. She will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her husband, Sidney; Son, Gregory (Cathy) Biddle, Lewiston, Christine (Steven) Neeley, Garland, Deanna (Larry) Gardner of Brigham; three grandsons, Bryan, David and Mikal Neeley. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Noel, a daughter, Saundra, and her parents. The family would like to give a special thanks to the people of Alpine Hospice, Dr. Gary Mckenzie and Dr. David Wilding. Bird NORTH OGDEN - LaVon Lillian White Bird, 92, died Monday, June 27, 2005 at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was born June 29, 1912 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Alfred Henry and Johanna Marie Cardall White. On December 10, 1937, LaVon married Victor Alfred Bird in Ogden. He died February 25, 1991. She graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City in 1930 and lived in North Ogden for the past 53 years. LaVon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various callings. She enjoyed camping, traveling, sewing and many other hobbies and interests. LaVon was a great mother who passed on her strength, knowledge, and support, but most of all, her love. Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Alfred J. (Nedra) Bird, Frisco, TX; Kenneth R. (Paula) Bird, Roy; Evelyn M. (L. Lee) Palmer, Ogden; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Bowers, Christopher Dale Christopher Dale Bowers LAYTON - Christopher Dale Bowers, 27, our kind son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend returned to Our Heavenly Father Sunday, June 19, 2005 due to injuries sustained in a car accident. He was born to Dale and Sherl Bowers on October 23, 1977, in Layton. Chris graduated from Northridge High School and was also a Seminary graduate.He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed attending his single Adult Ward. Chris was a kind hearted Teddy Bear who always had a smile on his face. He always put others needs before his own. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and they loved him very much. Chris was a big fan of Harley Davidson Motorcycles and if given the chance would have owned one. He also loved movies and was a big fan of the Marvel Comics series. Chris is survived by his parents, Dale and Sherl Bowers, sisters, Rachelle (Curt) Baird, Syracuse; Melissa (Alan) Jensen, Layton; brother, Curtis (Melissa) Bowers, Layton; nieces, nephews, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Clements, Elda Elda Clements NORTH OGDEN - Elda Ward Clements, 88, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at McKay-Dee Hospital as the result of a fall. She was born July 4, 1916 in Bloomington, Bear Lake, Idaho to Thomas Reese Ward and Harriet Adelia Thompson Ward. She married Amos John Clements on November 22, 1937 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Rigby, ID after their marriage and then in Idaho Falls, ID for 22 years before moving to North Ogden. He preceded her in death on September 12, 1991. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in the Relief Society Presidency seven times throughout her many years of service. She was also Sunday School Coordinator, Ogden Temple worker, and was a visiting teacher until she passed away. She served in the Pink Lady Auxiliary for the Idaho Falls Hospital. Surviving are her children, Leta (Arnold) Nef, Kaysville, UT; Lester Thomas (Eileen) Clements, Richmond, UT; Amy C. Deas ROY - The world lost a sweet, loving man on Wednesday, June 29, 2005. Thomas "Tommy" E. Deas was born April 12, 1953 in Columbia, South Carolina, to Edward L. and Helen Elizabeth Frier Deas. He grew up in Columbia and loved to hunt and fish in the beautiful woods and swamps. On July 2, 1971 he married Vicky Lynn Berry and together they had a son David. His son is like him in so many ways and inherited his gentle nature and love for the outdoors. She died April 2, 1976. On July 24, 1986 he met and fell in love with Susan Rackham Turner while she was on a visit to Ventura, California. It was love at first sight and after several months of dating long distance, Susan left Utah and headed for California to start their new life together. They shared not only a wonderful marriage, but a deep love and friendship. He was a wonderful father to her daughter Debra and loved and adored her like his own. He also became close to her son Michael and they shared a special friendshi p. Tom and Sue later moved to Roy, Utah. He loved the majestic mountains and always commented that we have more stars here than any place on earth. Her family immediately adopted him as their own. He especially enjoyed the family gatherings at LaMar and Shirley's home. He was a wonderful cook and took great pride in his special southern meals, especially his cole slaw, potato saladand tri-tip. Tom had worked in the automotive industry for many years. He loved to race stock cars and participated in many races throughout California. At his death, he was the shop foreman with Strong Volkswagen in Salt Lake. Everyone came to him with questions or problems and they knew that he would work them out. We sincerely appreciate the love and support they have given us during his illness. He is survived by his wife Susan of Roy; his son and daughter-in-law, David and Sabrina Berry and their two daughters, Brooke and Victoria, all of Batesburg, SC; his stepchildren, Michael Turner and Debra and Albe rt Huerta and their new baby boy, Asher, all of Roy. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, LaMar and Shirley Rackham, Ogden; his brother-in-laws and their wives, Steve and Ann Rackham, North Ogden; Jim and Lisa Rackham, Layton; Bob and Mary Anne Rackham, Murray. He lovingly leaves behind his sister Gena and nephew Jason; his special aunts, Bonnie Short, Simi Valley, CA; Joan Jenkins Lafferty, Carol Copeland, Claudia Preston, Lexington, SC; and all the family members that have been a great influence in his life. Susan wants to give a special thanks to Dr. Christopher Smith who has gone above the call of a physician to provide special care to Tom. Groom, 73, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 27, 2005 in Monrovia, Maryland. Harriett was born August 11, 1931, in Wichita, Kansas, a daughter of the late James E. and Georgia L. Pentecost Pettit. Harriett married Robert P. Groom on January 6, 1952. "Bob" passed away October 2, 1975. She owned and operated "The Clothesline" in Ogden and made many friends. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a loving friend to many. Hamp, Albert Albert Gail Hamp Albert "Gail" Hamp, 81, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2005. Gail was born on January 28, 1924 in Buhl, Idaho. On February 16, 1945, he married Reva Gene Hamp in Conda, Idaho. They moved to North Ogden, Utah in 1961. Gail received his Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Denver. He worked on numerous engineering projects including the first nuclear submarine, the Nautilus. He retired from Weber State University where he worked as the campus engineer. Gail always had an interest in science. He loved animals, but loved dogs most of all. He loved to star gaze and knew all of the constellations. Surviving are his son, Richard Gail Hamp, daughter-in-law Bonnie, and grandson Dezmond. Lofland, Spencer Garrett Spencer Garrett Lofland awakened from the dream he called life on June 25, 2005. He is survived by his five year old son, Keenan Thomas Lofland, his parents, Danni and Judy Lofland; his siblings, Bry, Mike, Scott, Lori, Kristi, Sam, Nate, Jana, Jeff, Todd, Kayla, and their spouses and children. Spencer was larger than life. He was a big, loud, loving, bald 'n beautiful, totally narcissistic teddy bear. His universe revolved around his son Keenan. He was totally devoted to his little boy and was rarely far from his side when they were together. Only marginally less significant were the stars of his parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and Kennan's mother, Jobie. He never lacked the company of good friends; it seems everyone who met Spencer loved him, even his ex-girlfriends. He was a devoted father, adored son, beloved brother, loyal friend and talented artist. He will be dearly missed. Stenquist, Marvin Leander Marvin Leander Stenquist, 87, left this earth to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at the Emeritus Estates in Ogden, Utah. He was born in Tremonton, Utah on April 24, 1918 to Eric A. and Marie Elizabeth Sedall Stenquist. He married Merle Conger of Tremonton. He later married Letha Wood Peterson of Fielding. Marvin and Letha were currently living at Emeritus. He lived and farmed his entire life in Tremonton with the exception of five years during which time he served his country in the Pacific in WWII. His farming was his pride, joy and the love of his life along with his wife and children. He attended and graduated from Bear River High School. Other than his farming, he enjoyed reunions with army buddies and their wives, dancing with Letha and their friends, golfing with friends, sons and grandsons (they could never beat him!), drives with his daughter, and visits at local restaurants (the waitresses loved his smile and charm). He loved to go sno wmobiling. He served in numerous church callings. He was a High Priest at the time of his death. West, Michael Farrell Michael Farrell West died on Sunday June 26, 2005 at his home in South Ogden as a result of a house fire. He was born on August 4, 1978 in Ogden, UT. The most common remarks from neighbors, friends and family members, was that he was the kindest most loving person they knew. He would give any one the shirt off his back if he knew it could help. He loved all his family and friends very much. He was a choice spirit that loved everyone forgave all and hated none. His favorite sport was climbing. He was an avid sport and trad climber known by many for his superior skill, strength and durability. He enjoyed climbing with his Dad and friends at Devils Tower, Red Rocks, Joshua Tree, Smith Rocks and The City of Rocks. On the sharp end of the rope he was fearless. As a belayer you could trust him with your life. He would sacrifice his comfort to protect and serve his climbing partner. Michael enjoyed drawing and was an excellent artist. He enjoyed giving friends and f amily drawings he had done. Mike enjoyed scouts and earned the rank of Eagle. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8th Ward. His main employment was construction. He was known as a hard worker by all of his employers. The family wishes to thank The Ark of Little Cotton Wood for their vigilant faith in Mike. He was survived by his parents, Roy E. and Linda West, Grand parents, Robert H. and Lillian Farrell, Brothers James R. (Wanda) West, Thomas E. (Melinda) West, Daniel L.
