She was born May 10, 1920, in Granger, Utah the daughter of Willard G. and Annie Wallace Bawden. Louise married Harvey M. Broadbent on June 10, 1943, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She graduated from the University of Utah in 1942, with a Bachelor Degree in Education. She loved Elementary School teaching. Louise was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many positions of service. She served with her husband a mission to Bangkok, Thailand. Louise was the Matron of the Ogden LDS Temple. Her cherished role in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker to her family. Survived by her husband Harvey M. Broadbent, Clearfield, UT; children, Steven (Julie) Broadbent, Pleasant View, UT, Mary Lou (Craig) Seamons, Centerville, UT, David (Kaylene) Broadbent, Fruit Heights, UT, Neil (Audre) Broadbent, Layton, UT, Dea n (Julie) Broadbent, North Ogden, UT, Douglas (Laurie) Broadbent, Ogden, UT; 31 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Reuel (Norma Ruth) Bawden, Midvale, Utah, John L. (Norma C.) Bawden, Provo, UT. Preceded in death by a grand daughter, Justine Broadbent; her parents; one brother, Wallace Bawden; three sisters, Alice Barney, Afton Ricks, Wilma Ward. Funeral services will be held on Monday March 14, 2005, 12:00 noon at the Clearfield 5th LDS church building, 838 East 600 South, Clearfield, Utah where friends may call Sunday evening March 13 at the Clearfield 5th ward building from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Ewer, Gretha Gretha G. Ewer BRIGHAM CITY - Our loving mother, grandmother passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at the Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center from natural causes. She was born on January 28, 1917 in Henrieville, Utah, a daughter of William and Mary Alemeda Willis Goulding. She graduated from South Sevier High School. Gretha married Charles Henry Ewer on September 26, 1946 in Mantua, Utah. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1977. She is a member of the LDS church. Gretha worked as a repo clerk and retired from Thiokol in 1982. Gretha loved to crochet afghans for her grandchildren and they loved them dearly. She also liked to read, do genealogy and dancing. Surviving are three daughters, Patricia (Noel) Lance of California; Charlotte (Don) Hayes, Virginia; Clara (Alma) Hemmert, Richmond, Utah; nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; three sisters, Melda Davis, Elva Sheppard and Mae Twitchell. She was preceded in death by three brothers, William. Lige and Melvin K. Goulding, two sisters, Amplus Sargent and Beth Gledhill. OGDEN - Mary Wiseman Hill, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend, died Monday, March 7, 2005. She was born January 12, 1914 in England, a daughter of Jesse and Annie Wiseman. She had three loving sisters, Edith, Florence and Violet, and two brothers, Jessie and Charlie. On April 12, 1932, she married John R. Hill in Lorenzo, Idaho. They were married for 71 years. John preceded her in death on March 18, 2004. Mary loved growing plants and flowers and could make anything grow. There were always treats and love to be found in her home - homemade bread and a warm bed for any passers by. Surviving are six sons, Ernest (Geraldine), Ronald (Olivia), John (Sharon), Donald (Kathy), Lamar, and Michael; one sister, Edith; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John and son Richard. Mackey, David David Kenneth Mackey In Loving Memory David Kenneth Mackey, 36, passed away on March 8, 2005. David attended Roy High School, Antelope Valley College in California, and Weber State University. David is survived by his beloved son Tyler and Tyler's mother, Marilyn, and his son, Casey; five brothers, Daniel (Stacey), Douglas (Jennifer), Derrick, Jake and Jarred. Scothern, Thayne BRIGHAM CITY - Thayne Jay Scothern, 42, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at the Brigham City Hospital. Thayne was born on March 15, 1962, a son of Doyle and Ada Lynne Scothern. He married Ardrienne VanDrimmelen in April of 1983, they were later divorced. He married Teri Ann Garrett on June 6, 1987 in Brigham City. Thayne was a truck driver for Fife Rock products. Thayne was a member of the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed fishing, painting, riding motorcycles, camping and spending time with family. He loved people and was always there for everyone. Surviving are his wife, Teri Scothern, Brigham City; children, Kim R.
