Mumford, Karrie Lynn (Memoriam) IN LOVING MEMORY OF KARRIE LYNN MUMFORD FEB. 24, 1963 - MARCH 21, 2003 We Love and miss you, Love Mom and Dad and all the kids. Apple Blossom Nostaglia It has been quite sometime now, But I remember it like yesterday, The Fragrance of apple blossoms, the crisp bite of green apples, tart and full of promise. This old tree was my refuge, Where I could challenge my fears, dare myself to climb higher, Reach for the wispy tip of a young branch, and dare again. I would sit in the old rope swing, twist it tight and then let loose, Everything raced be in wild blur, and I so dizzy clung for my life, as the rope bit into my fingers. Cradled high in the gentle branches, I would hide away to read a favorite book. Then lulled to sleep by the rustling leaves, I would dream of romantic long ago, and awaken, my long hair tangeled in the leaves.By: Karrie Lynn Mumford Published in the Standard-Examiner on 3/21/2005.
