Phil was born July 23, 1931 in Laramie, Wyoming to Alma Grant Christensen and Rose Hussar Christensen. He married Billie Fae Sloan on August 6, 1964. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife Billie Christensen; two children, Sloan P. (Kristin) Christensen, Scottsdale, AZ; Shannon Christensen of Avondale, AZ; and one granddaughter, Elle Sloan Christensen. He was preceded in death by his parents. Together Again LAYTON - Thayne W. Corbridge, 92, our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2005. He was born July 17, 1912 in Smithfield, Utah the son of Samuel Ray and Ruby Ellen Whitesides Corbridge. Thayne married Sarah Parker on February 3, 1932 in the Salt Lake Temple. She preceded him in death on March 8, 2000. Thayne was a dairy farmer for many years. He then retired and worked for Davis County Assessor's office. He was elected as Davis County Assessor and served for 12 years retiring to serve a mission with his wife Sarah to Rapid City So. Dakota Mission and to the Denver, Colorado Mission. Dad and mom were always serving together; serving for nine years as Ordinance Workers in the Ogden, Utah Temple. Dad served in the Layton 2nd Ward Bishopric. In his younger years he was very involved with the Scouting program. Dad was a very hard worker and taught his children to be hard workers as well. He very much appreciated all the visits from family and friends over the years. Surviving are his son, Vern (Linda) Corbridge, West Haven; three daughters, Karen (Jay) Thurgood, Meridian, ID; Orell (Bill) Bindrup, Layton; Letha (Brent) Ogzewalla, Centerville; 28 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and brother, Mac (Jennie) Corbridge. Davis, Roy Cliff Roy Cliff Davis was born to Cliff and Ora Davis on June 5, 1941 in Payson, Utah. He was 63 years old. He passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2005 in Lake Shore, Utah. He attended Payson High School, Provo Trade Tech, and Utah State University. He was employed by Pacific States Pipe for several years before becoming an aircraft mechanic at Hill Air Force Base. While employed there for 30 years, he traveled to many countries repairing aircraft. He had friends wherever he went and he was quick to make new ones. His family became his life. He enjoyed camping, golfing, hunting, and just spending time with his family. On July 1, 1960 he married Iris Huff of Lake Shore, Utah. Together they had five children: Mike (Stacey), Tami (Herb MacDonald), Russell (Chris), Richard (JoDene), and Diana (Lonn Knight). He had 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild with one on the way. He also has three brothers and one sister: Larry, Garry, Neil, and Janet. He is preceded in death by his parents, and mother and father-in-law. Dr. Bronston M. OGDEN - The Reverend Dr. Bronston M. Greenwood of Ogden, Utah passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 22, 2005. He was born May 21, 1920, in Barber County, Kansas, to Lloyd Manly and Eva Emiline Depp Greenwood. He graduated from Hugoton High School in Kansas. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the 7th Army in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, Germany and Austria. He was honorably discharged. On April 6, 1947, he married Carrol Louise Rhoton in Keyes, Oklahoma. Bronston earned a Bachelor of Arts from Oklahoma City University in 1949, a Master of Theology from Illiff School of Theology (Denver, Colorado) in 1952, and a Doctor of Ministry from San Francisco Theological Seminary in 1982. He served 40 years as a United Methodist minister, with churches in Mustang, Oklahoma; Oak Creek, Colorado; Castle Rock, Colorado; Aspen-Basalt, Colorado; Center-Mosca, Colorado; Denver, Colorado; Ogden, Utah; and Kearns, Utah. He continued to serve as mi nisterial supply after his retirement in 1985. At various times he participated and acted as leader in: the Lions Club, VFW, Kiwanis Club, Farm Burea, American Cancer Society, Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, State and Local Council of Churches, Ministerial Associations, and the United Way. He was a Master Mason and member of the Golden Spike Lodge #6. His hobbies included photography, gardening, camping, backpacking, hunting and fishing. Bronston loved his family and was a wonderful husband, brother, father, and grandfather. He loved any outdoor activity, especially with his sons and grandchildren, teaching them to hunt and fish. Bronston and Carrol wintered in Overton, Nevada during retirement. Bronston is survived by his wife Carrol, and their three sons and daughters-in-law: Bronston II and Ann of Ogden; Larry and Melinda of Richfield; and Charles and Fonda of Vernal. They have nine grandchildren: Matthew, David (and wife Tricia), Chad, Shane, Paige, Aubrei, Jake, Jesse and Grace. One brother, Wade Greenwood, of Hugoton, Kansas, also survives him. His love, advice, support and wisdom will be greatly missed by all family and friends. His family finds peace and comfort in knowing he now lives with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Hinojosa, Tyler Richard LAYTON - Tyler Richard Hinojosa, our beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend left this life on March 23, 2005 after a short illness. He was born on May 13, 1991 to John O. and Michele Hoggan Hinojosa. Tyler was the light of our lives. He lived life to its fullest. He attended Layton Elementary and then moved on to Whitesides Elementary so that his mom, a teacher, could keep an eye on him. He was currently enrolled at Fairfield Jr. High School. While attending there, he was a member of the school band and really enjoyed learning to play the bells and the drums. Tyler enjoyed all sports. He had just finished a season of Junior Jazz basketball. He had previously been involved in Layton City Rec. football and baseball. He loved going to Jazz games. He was an avid skateboarder and even built his own skateboard in shop. He had just gotten into Paint Ball and had made a cool course in the backyard. Tyler will be remembered for his beautiful red hair, sense o f humor, and big heart. He will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Marlene Rodriquez, his Nana and Pa Hinchcliff, and Uncle Richard. Surviving are his parents, three sisters Victoria, Holly, and Stacey, and two brothers Daniel and Nathan. He is also survived by his best buddy, his little niece, Abigail. Jeanselme, Cal OGDEN - Leon Calvin Jeanselme, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 22, 2005, following a battle with cancer. He was born on June 11, 1935 in Price, Utah to Leon and Delta Duke Jeanselme. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army. He graduated from Utah State University where he met and married Arnell Jeppsen on September 12, 1958 in the Logan Temple. He was the father of two children. His greatest accomplishment was his marriage of forty-seven years, to his sweetheart, Arnell. His greatest fulfillment came from the lives of his children and grandchildren, whom he taught to live with honesty and integrity. His greatest legacy passed on to all, was his sincere interest in all mankind. He never met a stranger, as he extended friendship to all who knew him. His good natured humor kept family and friends on their toes, while at the same time reaffirmed his love for them. He is survived by his wife Arnell; son Brad Je anselme and wife Kim, Eau Claire, Wisconsin; daughter Julie Jeanselme Grant and husband John, Salt Lake City, Utah. His seven grandchildren also survive their grandfather's passing. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother Craig. Murray, Berkeley Maughan CLEARFIELD - Berkeley Maughan Murray, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at Ogden Regional Medical Center from an extended illness. He was born on June 9, 1930 in Wellsville, Utah the son of Kenneth Bailey and Celia Poppleton Maughan Murray. He attended schools in Cache Valley. He learned the value of hard work by helping his dad on the farm and milking cows. For a short time he was involved in rodeos and traveled the rodeo circuit. He was always a cowboy at heart. He loved western music and loved to dance. He could really cut a rug at the Elite Hall in Hyrum. He joined the Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a combat veteran and loved his country. He was a heavy equipment operator for 40 years. He worked for various construction companies in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and California. Berk spent many winters in Quartzite, Arizona where he made many friends. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was a kind and loving son to his mother . She was the most important person in his life and she will miss him very much. We will miss Berkeley's jokes, sense of humor, teasing, and dependability. His good memory and stories were always entertaining. He had the ability to make friends wherever he went. He especially enjoyed his coffee shop buddies! Berkeley is survived by his dear mother, Celia, Clearfield; two brothers, and four sisters: Guy Murray (Norma), Kaysville; Carma Gibbs (Gail), Stoddard; Emma Jean Allen (Warren), South Ogden; Susanne Olsen (John deceased), Mapleton; Craig Murray (Marie), Syracuse; Rochelle Hamblin (Ronald), Syracuse; and many, many nieces and nephews that he loved and enjoyed! She was born June 20, 1921 in Pateros, Washington, a daughter of Phineas Raymond and Margaret May Eustus Wright. Her employment in her later years, brought her to the Salt Lake City area. June married Herman Bradford Shelton in 1941. They were later divorced. She married Russell C. Shupe on January 1, 1970 in Bountiful, Utah. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an avid genealogist for 45 years. June loved square dancing. Surviving are her husband, Russell C. Shupe; daughter, Pat (Michael) Erdmann; sons, Dan (Carrie) Shelton and Ken (Carol) Shelton; nine stepchildren, 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Edna (Jack) Thrapp and Anne Wright. She was born July 6, 1914 in Wilson Lane, a daughter of Alfred Thomas and Cora Ann Wright East. On October 3, 1935, Gwen married Congdon Leonard Wheeler in Morgan. She was educated in the Ogden City and Weber County Schools. She lived in West Warren, Ogden and since 1947 in Harrisville. Gwen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in the Primary and Mutual organizations and remained a devoted Visiting Teacher until her death. She was a member of the Riverside, Ben Lomond and White Barn Golf Associations. Her hobbies included flower gardening, writing, collecting family memorabilia, and keeping in touch with her many friends. Her interests were fishing, traveling, bowling and golfing. Surviving are her husband, Congdon, of Harrisville; three sons and one daughter, Sterling Jay (Carolyn) Wheeler, Harrisville; Gage Lynn (Lenna) Wheeler, Riverdale; Wayne East (Frances) Wheeler, Overton, NV; Gaylene W. (Donald) Farrell, Harrisville; 15 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Ivan East, Ogden; Alfred G. East, Riverdale; Margaret E. Neely, West Point. Woodruff, Marilyn Kay PLEASANT VIEW - Marilyn Kay Woodruff , 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at home surrounded by loved ones. Mom was born October 9, 1932 in Ogden, Utah to Elmer D. Johnson and Marjorie Bell Johnson. She had a very happy childhood and often shared her childhood memories with her family. She attended Weber High School where she was a cheerleader and where she met her husband of 54 years, Wayne W. Woodruff. Mom and Dad were married September 20, 1950 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They raised their family in Washington Terrace where they lived for over 40 years and were members of the Washington Terrace 3rd Ward. They also lived in Roy for several years where mom also made many special friends. Mom was active in the LDS Church and served in many callings, she especially enjoyed serving in the relief society and with the young women. She most enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother. More than anyt hing, mom enjoyed being surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband Wayne, her brother Steve Johnson of Riverdale, and seven children.
