Patricia was born June 27, 1942 in Ogden, Utah to Ellen Caroline Miller and Walter France Andrew, who was later killed in World War II. She was raised by her mother and stepfather Fred Whitney Andrew. On May 31, 1958 she married the love of her life, Daniel Dennis Alsup. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 7, 1959. Patricia enjoyed doing genealogy, cooking, and dancing, as well as many other talents and hobbies. She is survived by her loving husband, four children, Dorothy (Richard) Kress, Sherril (Derek) Nelson, Laurel Stubbs and Dr. Daniel (Heidi) Alsup, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving is one sister, Kathy (Kingston) West. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, stepfather, one brother, one granddaugh ter and one great-grandson. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. We love her deeply and she will be greatly missed. Burton, Kenneth Taylor OGDEN - Kenneth Taylor Burton, died Saturday, March 26, 2005 at the age of 91. Ken was born September 14, 1913, in Ogden, Utah, to Louis Raymond and Birdie Taylor Burton. He was the second in the family of five sons. He grew up in the Ogden area and married Elizabeth Tonks on June 12, 1937. She preceded him in death on June 24, 2002. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on November 4, 1960. He was a man of many varied interests and hobbies. He started work at the Ogden Dental Laboratory at the age of 15 working there for 50 years and retiring at age 65. He started golfing in his teens shooting his last round at the age of 89, priding himself that some years he played at least once each month, even in the winter months. He enjoyed gardening, making jewelry for family members, fishing and hunting, and dining at Javier's. Ken was an active member of the Kingston Ward. He served for many years in the Sunday School at the Ogden Industrial S chool. Ken was the ultimate neighbor, seeking to help without ever being asked. In the early 1930's he learned to fly, soloing on skis at the old Ogden Airport. He is survived by his three children, Jenee Garr, Kenneth R. (Susan) and Bonnie (Randy) Galbraith, 17 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his, parents and brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Kenneth W. Burton, officiating. Faldalen, Ole John Ole John Faldalen, age 85, of Crosby, North Dakota passed away on Friday, March 25, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center in Williston. Ole was born on August 11, 1919 to Selma (Steen) and Olaf Faldalen, on the family farm south of Ambrose. He was the first of six children. He completed eighth grade at country school. He enlisted in the U.S. Army serving from May 9, 1941 until September 22, 1945 during World War II. He was wounded while serving his Pacific tour of duty earning a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He had been stationed at Ogden, Utah where he met and married Audrey Bateman. Together they had nine children, six of whom survive. There are many others who considered him to be their dad. Ole was baptized and confirmed a member of the Lutheran Church and later the LDS church. Ole had a strong work ethic and moral character that he instilled in his children. He didn't work just because he had to, he wanted to. Among his many jobs were civil service work, custodian, seismic surveyor, orderly, maintenance supervisor and meal assistant at the Crosby Good Samaritan Center and at one time owned with his wife The Dakota Theatre and the Berg Hotel. He was a hard working, coworker of many. Ole enjoyed fishing, woodworking, playing and listening to music and was a terrific gardener. His favorite pastime was watching people, visiting and telling stories with people of all ages. He had a great love for children and so very enjoyed having little ones around. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George and Severin; daughter Helen; and sons, Christian and Steven. Ole is survived by his wife of 60 years, Audrey; sons, David (Bev) of Green Valley, AZ, John (Carolyn) of Hooper, UT, Bill (Donna) of Burien, WA, Rocky (Penny) of Winner, SD; daughters, Deb (Gary) of Crosby, ND, and Laurie Ann (Richard) of Estevan, SK, Canada. Also 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Sidney of Noonan, ND, Oscar (Betty) of Yukon, OK; sister Eunice Carlst ad of Chester, MT; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. She was born September 19, 1917 in Ogden, a daughter of Stewart and Elvera Nelson Eccles. In 1954, Vera married Robert Campbell Gunn in Oakland, California. Robert preceded her in death on December 17, 1979. She was raised and educated in Ogden graduating from Ogden High School. Vera was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was proficient in every kind of craft and homemaking skill. She also enjoyed music. Surviving are three daughters, Marilee Calloway, Gardnerville, NV; Patricia Scott (Louis) Putney, Riverbank, CA; Kathleen Gunn, Redding, CA; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are four sisters, Betty Jardine, Roy; Jeanette Eccles, West Covina, CA; Olivia Wolf, Mantica, CA; Charlene Terkleson, Ogden. Vera was preceded in death by her husband and one sister Patricia Thurgood. Holmes, Ralph G. Ralph G. Holmes, age 87, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 27th, of causes incident to age. He chose Easter Sunday to pass through the veil. He was born October 17, 1917 in Wilson Lane, to Gideon and Lenora Holmes. Ralph was raised in Harper and graduated from Box Elder High School. He was an Eagle Scout. On November 21, 1939, Ralph married Maxine Orme in the Logan Temple. He served in the Army during World War II, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Ralph loved the outdoors and enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with his brothers and grandsons. He was an avid bowler and golfer. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church and served in many callings. He is survived by his wife Maxine, five daughters, Sherlene Wood, Barbara Blackwood, Georgia (Lee) Warren, Irene (Rod) Genta, and Lorraine Martinez; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Lloyd Holmes and three sisters, Joyce Johnson, Karma Wood, and Nora Rasmussen. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 1, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 South State Street. Parker, Eugene Eugene Dale (Mike) Parker WASHINGTON TERRACE, 89, died at his home Saturday, March 26, 2005 of causes incident to age. He was born April 9, 1915 in Riverdale, Utah, a son of Edwin B. and Ella Elmer Parker. He was raised in Riverdale and spent his growing up years helping on the family farm with his father and brother. He attended school in Weber County and graduated from Weber High School. Mike married Faye Adams on December 27, 1941 in Malad, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized on June 17, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were married 63 years. Mike was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a High Priest and had been a Ward Teacher. He loved his family, as well as his father and mother-in-law, Hazen and Sylvie Adams. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He loved his country and served proudly. Mike worked 30 years at the Defense Depot Ogden as a supervisor. He was well liked by his fellow employees. S urviving are his wife of Washington Terrace, one daughter, Carol (David) McFarland, Roy; and one grandson, Michael (Catherine) McFarland, Roy. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Ella Jean, his parents, and the rest of his 10 brothers and sisters. Sessions, Elzo OGDEN - Elzo Weston Sessions, age 95, passed away early Easter morning, March 27, 2005, in Brigham City, Utah. He was born January 17, 1910 in Milo, Idaho, a son of Roy Sessions and Chloe Welker Sessions. He married Doris Annie Evans, October 17, 1927. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. She passed away July 17, 1976. He is survived by their three children; Burdeen (Claire) Bailey, Brigham City, UT; Ray (Gayla) Sessions, Boulder, Colorado; and DeVon (Connie) Sessions, Tremonton, Utah. He has ten grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Verba Colby, and two brothers, Chester (Naomi) Sessions, Ronald (Linda) Sessions, and a sister-in-law. Afton Koford, and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris, his parents, three brothers and two sisters. He married Berniece G. Erickson June 7, 1977. She survives him as do her three children; Bruce (Beverly) Erickson, Boyce (Pat) Erickson, and Nad ine (Richard) Tribe, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his early years Dad worked farming. He worked as a carpenter and later worked at DDO in Ogden, Utah. He loved to build things for his family and friends and enjoyed working in his yard. His greatest joy was being with his family. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, traveling, visiting his friends, and being of services to others. He loved to sing and remembered the old song from his youth. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all his life. He served in Priesthood Leadership, Scouting, and was a Temple Worker at the Ogden Temple. Dad had a great sense of humor and everyone that knew him, loved him. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Stallings, Margaret G. EDEN - Margaret Grow Stallings, 83, our angel mother, died at home on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005, of causes incident to age. She devoted her entire life to caring for her husband and family, especially her son George. She was born September 12, 1921 in Huntsville, a daughter of Charles Isaac and Adelia Abbott Grow, and was reared in Huntsville with her four older brothers. She graduated from Weber High and Weber Seminary. As a teenager she worked in the tomato factory in North Ogden. She also worked as a telephone operator in Huntsville and then in Dr. Dumke's office after graduation. Margaret married Lowell Stallings in 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They made their home in Eden where together they built a registered Holstein dairy farm of 70 cows. Even though she never felt like she was a farm girl at heart, she drove flat bed trucks for hay haulers and then cooked dinner for the crew. She was always feeding someone. Lowell died January 11, 2005. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Eden 1st Ward and served many years in the Primary and Relief Society. She enjoyed doing family genealogy and extraction work. Margaret loved music, especially playing hymns on the piano. She had a lot of energy and was the first to have her laundry out on the clothes line on wash day. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She crocheted many beautiful tablecloths and was also an avid reader. Surviving are her children: George Stallings, Eden; Jan (Richard) Wight, Ogden; Sharon (Brad) Vause, Eden; Sandra (Dave) Jenkins, Eden; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Dale Grow, Ogden; and Douglas (Beatrice) Grow, San Clemente, CA. The family would like to thank Seini Moeaki and IHC Hospice for their loving care. Winget, Viola LaRue Facer LAS VEGAS, Nevada - Viola LaRue Facer Winget, 60, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at her home in Las Vegas. LaRue was born on November 16, 1944 in Malad, Idaho, the first child of Mattie Earl and Evan Facer. LaRue traveled the world with her parents and family. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School. She married Charles Sherwood later divorced, from that marriage she had a beautiful daughter. She married Larry Phillips later divorced, from that marriage she had a wonderful son. She married Doug Winget, her soul mate and best friend on June 18, 1977. They worked together at Fram before moving to Las Vegas. LaRue loved to camp and fish. She loved to cook, do crafts and crochet. She loved clowns and had collected over 500 of them. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. At the time of her death she worked for Wal-Mart and had many friends. LaRue is survived by her husband Doug Winget, Las Vegas, Nevada; one daughter Sherrie (Ken) Pribble, Las Vegas, Nevada; one son Eric Larry Phillips, Las Vegas; two stepsons Robert (Stephanie) Winget and Douglas Robinett; 13 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter due in July. She is also survived by two sisters Lorraine (Mike) Bowen, Hyde Park, UT; Pam (Mark) Randall, Ogden, UT; and two brothers Terry (Kathy) Facer, West Valley, UT; and Larry (Verna) Facer, Ogden. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Charles Earl Facer.
