Lynda was a very loving and giving person. She had many hobbies. Brimhall, Kermit Eugene Kermit Eugene Brimhall OGDEN - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, finished his last work on this earth, Monday, March 28, 2005, surrounded by his loving family. He died of natural causes at the age of 81. Kerm was born July 18, 1923, in Vernal, Utah, to Jenny Bowthorpe and Earl Brimhall. He married the love of his life, Myrna Nayon Smuin, on November 10, 1954. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2004. He was a general contractor and heavy equipment operator, building and developing in the Davis and Weber County area for 40 years. He loved to camp, hunt and fish, and to spend time outdoors with his family and friends. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church, he spent several years as a Scoutmaster in West Point and helped many young men earn the rank of Eagle Scout. He had many fond memories of his work with the Boy Scouts. His favorite past t ime was helping anyone in need of fixing or building anything. He was always available to help someone in need. He is remembered for his generosity, kindness, honesty and strength. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nayon; three daughters, Jeri Daines, Ogden; Rea Jane Brimhall, Salt Lake City; Tami (Mike) Draper, South Weber; three sons, Joseph (Ami), Camas, Washington; Jeff (Carrie), West Point; Brent (Terri), Clinton; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Keith (Mariam), Ogden; and a sister, Mary (William) Backus, Clinton. She was born November 22, 1983 in Ogden, Utah the daughter of the late Thomas R. and Carla Fuzari Dobson. Andrea loved her family very much and kept everyone smiling at all times. She lived a very wonderful life and has touched numerous people. She lived in Brazil for eight months and she was very fluent in Portuguese. She excelled in drawing, painting, writing and acting. She was our little Drama Queen. She was able to lighten up any room with her beautiful smile and charismatic personality. She had many friends and she will be missed by all. Duncombe, David David M. Duncombe David M. Duncombe of Paradise, California passed away March 26th 2005. He was born October 9, 1921 in Taber Alberta Canada, a son of George David, and Doris Rumble. He was raised in Logan and Ogden. David joined the National Guard in 1939, he then joined the Army Air Corps and learned to fly, his life long dream. He married Marjorie Markham on March 27th, 1943. David was proud of his Mormon heritage and spoke often to his children of the pioneers trek to Utah. He served in World War II as a combat veteran and retired after 25 years of service with a rank of Major. He served in the European Theater and flew 35 missions over Germany as a Bombardier and Navigator. He and his family lived and traveled to many countries. David was a popular violinist in the Ogden area and played in Symphony's over the past 25 years. Music was his life. David is survived by his wife Margie and daughter Kay Millette, and son Mike (Brenda), six grandchildren, one grandson in-law (Anthony), a nd seven great-grandchildren. David also leaves behind one brother and sister in Roy, Utah, Donald Duncombe (Karen) and Doris Borger, and many nieces and nephews throughout Utah. David is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Roy, Ted, and Bud, and one sister, Shirley Hadley. A memorial service is being held today, March 31st, 2005 in Paradise, California. Kayden Christopher Eby was born October 2, 2000 in Bountiful, Utah. He was a special little boy who touched the hearts of everyone who came in contact with him. Fickett, Norman Hugh Norman Hugh Fickett LAYTON - Norman Fickett, 75, passed away March 29, 2005. He was born July 31, 1929 in Steuben, Maine the son of Forrester Fickett and Lottie Stanley. He married Alline Odd on May 5, 1951, in Kaysville, who preceded him in death on April 20, 1987. He was a member of the L.D.S. Layton Ward and was a recent convert. He was a faithful and loyal home teacher. He loved to be in service of those in need. Norman served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a true blue patriotic Republican. He was active in the V.F.W., American Legion and served as past President of the Eagles. He also worked in cub and boy scouts. Norman enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and woodwork. He loved to travel and had a great love for working on cars. He was known for his sense of humor and a unique perspective of life. He was raised by his father Gilman and Rangna Fikstad. Howard graduated from East High School and attended Salt Lake Community College. Howard married Maria Martha Prahl on February 1, 1939 in Farmington. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on June 25, 1965. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a member of the Layton Eagles for many years. Howard enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, gardening, hunting, square dancing, bowling, walking and spending time with his family. Fisher, Velma Munn Velma Munn Fisher 9/29/1918 - 3/28/2005 WEST POINT - On Monday, March 28, our beautiful angelic mother, Velma Irene Munn Fisher, returned home to God and her savior whom she loves. She was a queenly example of kindness, purity, love, charity and patience to all. She had a smile and a kind word for everyone, and was not capable of guile. She is very dear to all her children and grandchildren. We will sorely miss her sweet presence, but are thankful her final trial is finished. We know a grand reunion of loving family and friends is taking place in heaven. Joy will be hers, and she will be especially happy to see her Blaine. Velma was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life, serving faithfully in many positions in Sunday School, Relief Society, Primary and MIA. She was employed in the grocery business for numerous years. She was preceded in death by her eternal companion, Blaine Fisher. They were married December 16, 1938 in the Salt Lake Temple, and were together for 63 years. Two grandsons, Adam Fisher and Ryan Furness, also preceded her in earthly graduation. She is survived by her six children, Dan (Merle) Fisher, Kathleen (Mike) Furness, Mary Denhalter, Patricia (Tom) Regan, Mike (Becky) Fisher, and David Fisher, 20 grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Gamble, Glen Glen Gamble PRESTON, Idaho - Glen Gamble, 87, died March 30, 2005, at his home in Preston, Idaho. He was born October 20, 1917, in Preston to John William and Mary Wells Gamble and lived his entire life there. He married Grace D. Carter on December 3, 1937, in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in Preston where they raised their eight children. Glen was a farmer and worked at Anderson Lumber. His career as a building contractor began in 1948 when he undertook the building of a new home for the widow of one of his friends who had suddenly passed away. From that time onward he built or remodeled more than 80 structures in the Preston and Franklin county area. He constructed numerous homes, churches, a service station, a seminary, many dairy barns, and other structures. He was a very talented builder whose work was largely done before the day of prefabricated roof trussed and pre-built cabinets. He built everything from the ground up and took great pride in his work. Almost every s treet in Preston, Idaho has a home or some other building built by him. He served on the Preston City Council for six years and was mayor of Preston for four years. He was active in the LDS Church and served faithfully in numerous callings. He served for several years as one of the Seven Presidents of Seventy in the Oneida Stake. He served as Sunday School superintendent for several years, as ward clerk, and as a counselor in the bishopric. He also served for many years on the scout committee in the Preston Third Ward both as troop committee chairman and as advancement chairman. In recent years he enjoyed farming and being Grandpa Glen to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as to the neighborhood children. He could repair almost anything and was always helping others or fixing things for family or friends. After every snow storm, he would clear the walks and driveways of many widows and other needy people. He enjoyed visits with his family whom he loved dearly. Hill, Inez Inez B. Hill OGDEN - Our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Inez B. Hill 88, returned to her Heavenly Father March 29, 2005 at Manor Care Nursing Home. Inez was born February 13, 1917 in Mendon, Utah to Oscar J. and Elizabeth Stump Barrett. Inez married,her first love, James E. Barnard June 26, 1937 in the Logan LDS Temple. After 24 happy years of living and working on the family farm in Deweyville and raising a family James passed away July 29,1961 at Deweyville, Utah. Inez married Ray M. Hill, her second love and a classmate from South Cache High, December 4, 1969 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After 25 happy years Ray passed away April 1, 1994 at Wellsville, Utah. Inez spent her childhood in Mendon graduating from South Cache High in 1935. After James's death, she worked briefly for Adams Drug in Tremonton, Smiths Food in Brigham and the IRS in Ogden. Inez was always active with church activities, and held many positions over her lifetime. She was called to serve as mis sion housekeeper while her older brother Ivan was Mission President of the Northwest LDS Mission. She loved the missionary environment, and later was called as a missionary to the Florida LDS Mission in Tampa. After Ray retired, he and Inez were called to serve a Mission to North Carolina on the outer banks at Harkers Island, North Carolina. Inez was known for her cooking abilities, her beautiful quilts and the wonderful meals she served to family and friends. She spent countless hours collecting genealogy facts and histories. She loved to grow flowers and a vegetable garden was a must each year. Inez is survived by her two children, Nadine (Melbourne) Grow, Deweyville, and Nolan J. (Carolyn) Barnard, Layton, four stepchildren, Richard J. (Jonie) Hill, Hyrum, Darwin R. (Larraine) Hill, Wellsville, Randall J. She was born October 4, 1933, in Garland, Utah, the eldest daughter of John D. and Nora Gunderson. Mary graduated from Box Elder High School in 1951 and attended LDS Business College. She married Jerald M. Parsons on October 18, 1951 at St. Benedicts Hospital. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mary is survived by her husband Jerald, and their six children: J. Michael (Karen Wixom), Brigham City; James Lynn (Jacquie), Lacey, Washington; Janeen (Craig Bywater), Brigham City; Paula (Scott Chambers), Yelm, Washington; Jari (Tim Francis), Brigham City; and John David (Patrice), Portland, Oregon; four siblings; Karen Crawford, Tempe, Arizona; Dixie (Paul) Allen, Bountiful, Utah; John Gunderson (Carol Ann), Brigham City; and Steven (Marge) Gunderson, Grand Junction, Colorado; 21 grandchild ren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, J.D. Parsons. Funeral services will be held on April 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 5th Ward, 420 South 800 West. Reeves, Jason Jason Reeves OGDEN - Jason Paul Reeves, age 30, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2005 from causes relating to sickle cell anemia. Jason was born January 6, 1975 in Ogden to MacArthur Robinson and Nelsene Reeves. Jason's mother is one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed taking pictures even if none of them turned out, country western music, karaoke even though he couldn't sing, spending time with family, shopping and watching videos. Surviving are his mother, Nelsene Reeves Thomas; grandfather Paul Reeves; and four sisters and one brother, Latonia, Bobby, Brandee, Brionna, and Chakyirra, all of Ogden; one nephew Jekobe Johnson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Josephine Reeves, great-grandmother, father, stepfather, and three uncles. Schoss, 85, died Thursday, March 24, 2005 of pneumonia and aortic stenosis. He was born March 10, 1919 in Geneva, Idaho to Fred W. Schoss and Viola R. Tueller. His mother died a month after his birth and he was raised by his father and stepmother, Rose. He was reared and educated in Ogden. On April 9, 1940, He married Eldora Glee Pence. They were later divorced. He married Delone F. Mohr on May 31, 1968 in Logan, Utah. He was a member of the LDS Church. He served during WWII in the Army Ordinance Corp in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was a licensed electrician and was associated with Schoss Electric Company. He had an electrical and feed business in Overton, Nevada. He worked for the Lake Crystal Salt Company, Ogden Ford Sales, Univac and Cutter Lab. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Delarel, Vern, and Ferrin. Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Donna Hall and three step-children, Gerald (Sandi) Mohr, Janice (Gary) High and Ke ith (Tammie) Mohr. He has ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Marjorie Carey, JoAn (Edward) Poll. Sipple, Verna Verna Elliott Sipple WEST HAVEN - Verna Elliott Sipple, 85, died Monday, March 28, 2005 at Peachtree Place Assisted Living Center. She was born February 8, 1920 in Ogden, a daughter of Vernon Erwin and Onita Lynes Elliott. She was raised in Challis, Idaho, and in Garland and Tremonton, Utah. She was a 1938 graduate of Bear River High School and attended Henager Business College in Salt Lake City and Ogden. She lived in Ogden from 1954 to the present. She married Charles W. Sipple in Ogden on July 11, 1943. They were later divorced. Verna worked briefly for the U.S. Corps of Engineers in Kingman, Arizona. Later she was a contact representative at the Ogden VA office. She assisted returning veterans in gaining their GI Bill benefits: college enrollment, home loans, and new business loans. She did her part in making the wartime generation the Greatest Generation. She finished her federal career in 1982 after 22 years with the U.S. Forest Service in Ogden. An accomplished seamstress and gardener, Verna was a fifty year member of the Ogden First Baptist Church. She was a Grand Lady of the church and graciously served 19 years as church clerk and many years in other leadership positions. She was a loyal officer of the American Baptist Women's Organization and a member of The Lydia Circle. Surviving is a son Charles V. (Joan) Sipple, Boise, ID; grandchildren Jakki Mohr, Missoula, MT; Judy (Hans Wijmans) Mohr, Menlo Park, CA; and Jean Mohr and Jay Mohr, Boise. She also leaves six great grandchildren. Jakki and Judy were especially dear to her because of their consistent loving concern. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lucille E. Skorez, and a grand nephew, Tommy Buddy Hinds. Spring, Pauline Sharpe "Polly" Pauline (Polly) Sybil Edwards Sharpe Spring Pauline Spring passed away Jan. 22, 2005 in Clackamas, Oregon following surgery. She was born April 17, 1926 in Ogden, Utah the daughter of Charles S. and Catherine (Cathy) Edwards Smith. Polly graduated from Ogden High School and Weber State College, after which she was as stewardess for United Airlines. She was also a preschool teacher for several San Francisco area schools. She married Dayton Sharpe and they had two children, Thomas Sharpe and Elizabeth McClure, both of Oregon. They were later divorced. On November 23, 1975 she married John B. Spring. She is survived by her husband, son and daughter. Also surviving are her sister, Audrie Edwards Jones, Riverdale, UT and her brother, Robert S. Edwards, Tucson, AZ and sister-in-law, Arlene L. Edwards, Farr West, UT; also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald R. Edwards. A memorial service was held February 1, 2005 in Tigard, OR. She will be affectionately remembered by family and friends as a sensitive and loving soul who touched everyone she met. Destiny was born on February 1, 1990 in Salt Lake City and lost her life as the result of a tragic automobile accident on March 27, 2005 at the age of 15. She was a dedicated student at Mount Jordan Middle School in Sandy where she received honors for her scholastic achievements and made numerous friends.
