He was born on June 26, 1956 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Robert N. and Dorothy Lemon Beard. Alan worked at the Box Elder Sheriff's Department as a Deputy. He retired on February 1, 1999. He was a member of the LDS church. Alan enjoyed hunting, trap shooting and fishing. Surviving is one son, Robert of Brigham City; his mother, Dorothy of Willard; one brother, Jeffrey of Willard; two sisters, Ann Huss of Ogden; Jean Stanford of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his father and by one nephew, Earl Clifford Beard. Bingham, Clark Clark Bingham CLINTON - Our Mr. Fix-it has died, Clark Bingham, 73, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2005. at his home, of pancreatic cancer. He was born June 16, 1931, on a farm that is now part of the Ogden Airport, in Fairmont, Utah ,to Arthur S. and Mable Stevenson Bingham. Clark attended school in Riverdale and Roy, graduating from Weber High School. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Clinton 10th Ward. Clark met Sharon Summers when she was working at the Roy Theatre and they were married February 21, 1951 in Clinton, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. He worked at Hill Air Force Base as a Sheet Metal Mechanic earning sustained superior and zero defects awards. When he retired on a medical disability he was an Aircraft Sheet Metal Supervisor. Clark enjoyed hunting, camping, boating, and traveling with family and friends. But his first love was automotives. He loved the challenge of rebuilding wrecked cars in his "Shade Tree Garage". Although he loved working on cars the grass was always cut the bushes were always trimmed and the garden was always planted. He didn't plant a garden for the love of gardening he planted a garden for the love of eating and he always planted enough to share with family and friends. If someone needed help he was always there for them. His motto was "if you want to have a good neighbor you have to be a good neighbor." Clark is survived by his wife, Sharon; three daughters, Cheryl( Don, deceased) Hall, Layton; Vicki (Jack) Staker, Roosevelt, Utah; Joni (Ken) Jones, Roy; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Clayburn, Provo, Utah; and one sister-in-law, Darlene Antonietti, Roy/St. George, Utah. Cannon, Sheldon Laub Sheldon Laub Cannon TREMONTON - Sheldon Laub Cannon, born July 9, 1923, to Lewis Ray and Jennie Laub Cannon, passed away at home Wednesday, May 25, 2005, with his devoted wife Darlene by his side. Sheldon was born in Stone, Idaho, and was the thirteenth of fourteen siblings. The family later moved to Fielding, Utah, where Sheldon was raised and at age 16, graduated from Bear River High School. Sheldon served in the United States Navy during WWII, as an Aviator Machinist 2nd Mate and a tail-gunner, until 1946, when he was honorably discharged. Sheldon married "the love of his life", Beverly Sandall on March 12, 1947. They were later sealed for eternity in the Logan Temple on January 19, 1973. After the passing of his wife Beverly, on March 1, 2003, Sheldon found happiness and companionship again, with a life long friend, Darlene Robbins Wise. They were married on June 21, 2003. Darlene has been a dear, sweet companion to Sheldon, and a great mom to her new extended family, who thank her f or the love and kindness she gave. Sheldon was a proud father of his two sons, Gary Sheldon Cannon (Judy) and Roger Sandall Cannon (Jean). He has six grandsons, who brought joy and laughter to his life, Darren (Merry), Dustin, Courtney (Patty), Cody (Julie), Jake (Sarah), and Rusty. He also loved playing with his nine great-grandchildren. Sheldon was a member of the Utah State Firemen's Association, serving as a volunteer in the Tremonton/Garland Fire Department for over 12 years, and a portion of that time was Fire Chief. Sheldon spent the majority of his life working in the communications industry, where his primary responsibilities had both civilian and military applications. He retired in 1987 as a regional manager with Con-tel. When he was not working, he enjoyed family get-togethers, camping and just taking rides to enjoy the sights and good company of friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene, his brother Owen (Jill) Cannon, Tremonton, Utah; sisters Leah Holley, Pr ovo, Utah; Lucille Waldron, Kaysville, Utah; and Hortense Pink, Tustian California; sister-in-law Alice Cannon; two brother-in-laws, Jay Sandall (Judy) and Louis Douglas; his two sons, six grandsons, nine great-grandchildren, seven stepsons and daughters and their families. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Tremonton Stake Center located at 660 North 300 East, Tremonton. Erisman, Mary Anderson Mary Anderson Erisman BRIGHAM CITY - Mary Anderson Erisman, 92, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Brigham City Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on April 27, 1913 in Bothwell, Utah, a daughter of LeRoy and Emma Louise McFarland Ellis. Mary married LaVal C. Anderson on September 16, 1931 in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death September 18, 1953. She then married Irvin Erisman in 1957. He later died in 1991. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had worked as a seamstress for American Sportwears. Mary was an accomplished seamstress and loved to crochet for her family and friends. Surviving are two sons, Ellis Dee Anderson, Brigham City; Robert LaVal (Rose) Anderson, Bear River City; 18 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Fred Ellis, Ogden; Robert Ellis, Twin Falls, Idaho; Jean (Ray) Shaw, Brigham City; LaVell Brown, Grantsvi lle. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, two daughters, Emma Lou Poulsen, Mary Valene Boots Toombs, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter and two great grandsons. Hadfield, John LaVoy John LaVoy Hadfield1926 - 2005 John was born December 7, 1926 in Salt Creek, UT,,the 11th child of 14th born to John "Jack" and Louisa Hancock Hadfield. He left this earthly existence May 28, 2005 surrounded by loving family. John was raised in Tremonton, UT, graduating from Bear River High where he played for their football team. He married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Summers, in the Logan Temple February 19, 1945 and two weeks later shipped out to serve in the U.S. Navy. John and Beverly made their home in Boise, ID where he drove Trailways Bus for over 30 years. John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years and their children: Mary and Ron Arnett, Susan and George Freer, Sherry and Dave Butler, Jolene and Dana Jeppson, Nancy and Gary Oakes, Dan LaVoy and Arcie Hadfield, and Annette Barnett; his sisters: Alameda Stokes Bowcutt, Ardella Barfuss Bobo, Myrna and Joe Smith, Sheryl and Byron Bronson; 36 Grandchildren; 22 Great-Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Smith, Herbert Marshall Herbert Marshall Smith LAYTON - Herbert Marshall Smith, 57, was called home to eternity with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 26, 2005 in Savannah, Georgia. He passed away peacefully in his sleep from natural causes. Herb had relocated to Georgia to work for the airplane manufacturer, Gulfstream. He was anxiously waiting for his family to join him there. Herb retired from HAFB in September of 2003, after 38 years as an avionics technician and troubleshooter. He had worked in several states on various aircraft, including the F1-11, the F15 Eagle, the F-16, the A4 and the C130. He loved the field of avionics and was an expert troubleshooter. Herb was born August 20, 1947 in Auburn, California to Alvin and Donna Smith. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Herb was a disabled veteran who proudly served his country during the Vietnam conflict. He was an avid outdoorsman and very little brought him more joy than sitting on a riverba nk with his family, a fishing pole in one hand and a Dr. Pepper in the other. Herb married Brenda Smith, the love of his life, on March 23, 1972. He is survived by his wife of over 33 years, Brenda, and four children and seven grandchildren. His daughters, Shannon Smith of Riverdale, Stephanie Smith of Layton, Amber Smith of Layton and one son, Brandon Smith of Layton. Six grandsons, Braxton Smith of Brigham City, Andre Quintana of Layton, Skyler Smith of Layton, Andrew Smith of Riverdale, Jesse Smith of South Ogden and Kaeden Smith of Layton. One granddaughter, his Little Princess Taelyn Smith of Layton. He is also survived by three brothers, James Smith of Marysville, CA, Terry Smith of Idaho Falls, ID and Alan Smith of Oroville, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Herb was a man of integrity that everyone who ever knew him were proud to be called his friend. He will be greatly missed as we hold him in our hearts until we meet again in Heaven. Strickland, Luke Jason Luke Jason Strickland SYRACUSE - Luke Jason Strickland passed away peacefully at home with his family on May 28, 2005. Luke's passing was the result of complications from a near drowning accident on May 8, 2005. Luke was a sweet, perfect baby in the eyes of his family, friends, and especially his mom and dad. He was affectionately referred to as biggie boys and cutest. Luke got the most out of his short 19 months of life. He loved being outside pushing toys, playing with his brother and sister, reading books, and especially following the ducks. Luke enjoyed all people. He was very friendly and often said hi in his own special way. He was constantly found with a smile on his face and a friendly personality that made everyone happy. He loved his family and has a special bond with his brother Tate, and sister Savannah, that will extend beyond this earthly life. He was always happy, patient, kind, funny, and lovable. We truly feel blessed to have been chosen his parents even for such a sh ort period of time. He has taught us greatly and our lives will never be the same. Thank you, Luke. Luke will be greatly missed throughout this life, but we know we will be together with him as a family through the eternities. Waddoups, William F. William F. Waddoups SOUTH OGDEN - William F. Waddoups, 69, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2005 after a 2-1/2 year battle with ideopathic liver disease and complications from diabetes. He was born September 3, 1935 in Preston, ID to Fenton and Annie Jane (Jenny) Page Waddoups. Bill attended school in Corinne, UT and Preston, ID, graduating from Preston High School in 1953. He served in the US Army at Ft. Hood, TX. Bill served an LDS mission to the Eastern States from 1955-1957. He earned a BS in Accounting from the University of Utah in 1968 and his MBA also from the University of Utah in 1971. Bill married Marietta Chamberlain in the Idaho Falls Temple on July 12, 1963. They spent 41 fabulous years together. They lived in the Bountiful area for 16 years before moving to South Ogden. He was a member of Spring Canyon Ward, Weber Stake, where he taught priesthood classes for many years. Bill retired from HAFB as a budget analyst in 2003. He enjoyed gardening and making salsa ever y fall with the family. He spent many years working in the garage on his special projects. Travel included trips to Hawaii and cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska. Visits to Jackson, WY, Yellowstone and St. George were also favorite summer pastimes. Surviving are his wife Marietta, sons Blake Waddoups (Declo, ID), Trent Waddoups (Centerville, UT) Brett Waddoups (South Ogden, UT) daughter Darla Waddoups (Centerville, UT), and grandsons Logan (South Ogden, UT), Austin and Jason (Declo, ID) and his sister Pauline Luckey (Corinne, UT). Preceded in death by his father Fenton, mother Jenny, sisters Lucia Troseth, Zelma Comish, Jean Nelson, Donna Waddoups and brother Jay Waddoups.
