(Kelly) Draayer Monday, October 3, 2005 Kenneth J. (Kelly) Draayer CLINTON - Kelly Draayer, 94, long time Clinton resident, died October 1, 2005. He was born June 30, 1911, a son of John Draayer Jr. and Martina Schipper. On December 17, 1930, Kelly married Ruth Briggs, his high school sweetheart, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They spent over 50 happy years together. Ruth died April 26, 1983. Kelly served his community both as an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints where he served a mission to Holland and in a Bishopric, as well as a civic leader, where he served as a former Mayor of Clinton. Kelly was a successful farmer and cattleman. He had a passion for his horses and cows having an uncanny knack for training and taming his animals. Throughout the years, he had many winners in race and pulling horses. Besides his love for animals, Kelly loved good music, dancing and family outings. He also drove a school bus for 33 years. Kelly is survived by two sons, Clark (Bonnie), Sunset; Dennis (Norma), Clinton; a daughter, Linda (Jerry) Hogge, Clinton; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanette (Roy) Hatch, Manti. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marie and four brothers, Bud, Jack, Claude and Chris. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 5th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Syracuse Cemetery. Colonel (Ret.) Dellas Arthur Brown Monday, October 3, 2005 Colonel (Ret.) Dellas Arthur Brown SALT LAKE CITY - Dellas Arthur Brown, age 83, died September 29, 2005 at a local care center. He retired from the Air Force as a decorated veteran after 23 years of service. During his service he received the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters among other citations. Col. Brown was born May 15, 1922, in Riverdale, Utah to Arthur Preston and Francis (Ritter) Brown. He was married September 26, 1944, in Ogden, Utah to his college sweetheart, Marian Parry. Marian died on September 4, 1964. He later married Anita Gielow on October 27, 1967 in Colorado Springs, CO. He lived in Colorado Springs, CO. from 1960 until March of this year when he moved to Salt Lake City to be near his children. Dellas is survived by his wife of 37 years Anita G. Brown of Colorado Springs, CO.; his sister Shirley (Lenzi) Nelson of Roy, UT; sons David (Linda) and Parry (Jennifer) Brown; daughter Carole (Patrick) Burden of Salt Lake City, UT; step-daughter Roxanne (Larry Perea) Phillips of Colorado Springs, CO; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Frank P. Brown; daughter, Pegge Stanley; and grandson Daniel Brown. We'll miss you Dad. OFF YOU GO INTO THE WILD BLUE YONDER. Eldon M. Young Monday, October 3, 2005 Eldon M. Young FAMILY TRIBUTE Eldon Myron Young passed away in Blackfoot, Idaho, October 1, 2005. He was born March 17, 1923, in Clinton, Davis County, Utah, to John Lawrence Young and Geneve Burnett Young. Eldon was raised in Peterson, Utah, and attended Morgan High School, where for two years he achieved All State Championship in football. He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, with a Football Scholarship. In World War II, Eldon served in the U. S. Army Air Corps in Italy. On his GI Bill, he served an apprenticeship in Plumbing and worked for Marlo Halverson in Utah. He then worked in Richland, Washington, at the Hanford Site. He moved his family to Idaho Falls, Idaho, in 1954, where he was employed at the AEC as a Plumber/Pipe Fitter. His work took him to Mountain Home, Idaho, Colter Bay and Casper, Wyoming, and Astoria Springs, Oregon. He married Mary Hancock on November 7, 1945, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Eldon was a Master Plumber and had his own business, Young & Sons. He was Idaho State Plumbing Inspector and retired in 1988. He was a member of the Plumber/Pipe Fitters Union, #648. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints and held various positions with the Scout program and Home Teaching. He played Santa Claus for several years in the Taylor Community. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and building the family cabin. Eldon is survived by his wife, Mary H. Young of Idaho Falls, ID and six children, (three sons and three daughters): Kent E. (Veda) Young, Idaho Falls, Steven J (Yvonne) Young, Taylor, ID, Lorraine M. (Gene) Dressen, Idaho Falls, ID, Linda L. (Craig) Blackburn, Rigby, ID, Loretta (William) Scouten, Rigby, ID, and Paul D. (Denise) Young, Idaho Falls, ID. He has 39 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Bertus (Lucille) Young of Ogden, Utah, and Vern (Eunice) Young of Peterson, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Muriel Miller and Bernice Garner, and one brother Carl Young. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2005, at the Shelley LDS Taylor Ward, 1101 East 1250 North, Shelley, with Bishop Merrill Hanny officiating. Frank Charles Hill Monday, October 3, 2005 Frank Charles Hill OGDEN- Frank Charles Hill passed away due to a heart attack. He was born in Ogden, the son of Ralph Hill and Elizabeth (Betty) Hill Orgill. He was raised in Ogden and attended Ogden City Schools. He served in the military during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Marie Phillips in Burley, ID. She passed away. He later married Shelly Kotter in Brigham City and they were later divorced. He is survived by his stepfather, Derwin Orgill; his mother, Elizabeth Orgill of St George, UT; his son, Troy (Angela) Hill of Lehi, Ut; his daughter, Jennifer Kotter or Brigham City; brothers, Douglas (Phyllis) Hill and David Hill; also his companion, Scarlett Hill and her daughter, Angela. Wilkinson Monday, October 3, 2005 Gregory J. Wilkinson 1948 - 2005 OGDEN - Gregory J. Wilkinson born March 18, 1948 to Cole J. Wilkinson, Sr. and Eva Gertrude Atkins passed away peacefully from a long lingering illness Saturday, October 1, 2005. He was raised in Morgan, Utah and graduated from Morgan High School. He was on the Morgan Wrestling Team for three years. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting in Morgan County. He married Judy Lee on November 5, 1966 and later divorced. They had two daughters. He married Diane Geary, having one daughter and later divorced. Gregory worked at the Ogden General Depot for several years. Later, he drove for England Trucking and then in the Oil Well Fields in Wyoming, Montana, Arizona and New Mexico. He leaves behind three daughters: Colette, Angelique and Mindy and five grandchildren. He also leaves behind a brother, Vaughn Wilkinson; and three sisters: Judy Payne, Suzan Maughan, and Terri Porter; and stepfather, Russell L. Nance. His father, mother, older brother, Cole, Jr., and baby sister preceded him in death. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the North Morgan Cemetery. Lisa Davis Jensen Monday, October 3, 2005 Lisa Davis Jensen LOGAN/CLEARFIELD - Our Loving Mother, Lisa Davis Jensen, 44, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on September 30, 2005, at her home in River Heights, Utah. Lisa was born on a crisp winter's day, February 6, 1961 the first born child to George Fredric and Patricia Jeppesen Davis. She grew up in Tremonton and graduated from Sky View High school, class of 1979. She married Allan Clark Jensen and was later divorced. On account of this union she had four gorgeous children; Jackie, Laura, Kenny and Ashlee. She graduated from the Certified Career's Institute with a degree in computer programming. She cherished watching movies, writing, acting and singing. She was affectionate to everyone she met and enjoyed being around people. She liked to make crafts for friends and family, but more than anything she loved, her most important job in life, being a mother and "Grammy" to Elijah, Gabriel and Isis. She is survived by her children; Jackie Lynn Jensen, Logan; Laura (James) Peasnall, Layton; Kenneth and Ashlee Lisa Jensen, Logan. She is also survived by parents; Fred and Cheryl Davis, Tremonton; Pat and Dan Jensen, Deweyville. Sherwood My Sweetheart and our Daddy LAYTON - Charles (Chuck) Sherwood age 64, passed away October 1, 2005 in his home. He was born June 20, 1941 to Howard E. Sherwood and Eva Bonner. Chuck married Karen Marie Tingey on January 21, 1961 in Bountiful, Utah. They spent most of their lives in Fruit Heights and Layton. He spent three wonderful months in Texas. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Dad was a truck driver and trucking was his life. Throughout his life his interests and hobbies were Medieval Cutlery and History. Chuck is survived by his wife Karen, two sons, Kenneth C. (Liana), Layton UT; Kevin Allen, Randy Sumner, Lake Tahoe, CA; two daughters Kayla Norris, Clearfield, UT; Kathy Bowers (Alan). Morby Monday, October 3, 2005 OGDEN - Margaret passed away quietly at Emeritus Estates in Ogden on Wednesday, September 28, 2005. She was born in Vallejo, California on July 20, 1918 to David E. and Mildred Burklund Moyes. Margaret married Al Morby in Ogden on November 11, 1939 at the home of Reverend John Carver. Margaret and Al enjoyed many wonderful years together with family and friends, and camping in their motor home. Al died December 25, 1982. She attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ogden High School. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 25 years of service and had also worked for Becker Brewery in Ogden. Margaret traveled all over the world with special friends and her cousin Delores Nordquist. She especially enjoyed spending time with her coffee group at the Newgate Mall in Ogden. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ogden. Margaret is survived by her children, Chris Morby, West Jordan and Tina (Carl) Myers, Ogden; grandchildren Eric and Sean Myers and great-grandchildren Parker, Christian, Hannah and Chloe. She is also survived by her sister Ruth Higginson. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a special companion Iver McPhie. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 4 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., with the Reverend Dr. Rick Minnich officiating. Arlan Dale Meyer Monday, October 3, 2005 OGDEN - Arlan Dale Meyer, 52, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 29, 2005, surrounded by his family. Arlan was born August, 26, 1953 in Creighton, Nebraska to Paul and Doreen (Butchen) Meyer. Arlan served in the army during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Kelly Griffin on October 19, 1977 in Reno, NV. He enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid fisherman, and a motorcycle enthusiast. Arlan is survived by his loving wife, Kelly; his mother, Doreen Meyer; two sons, Josh and Jason, of Ogden; two brothers, Leo and Wayne, and a sister, Donna Martin. He was preceded n death by his father, a granddaughter, Destiny and a brother, David.
