Your life on earth was never easy but you walked through it with your head held high. Your physical and mental strength was admired by all those that met you. You were always there for your family and friends, through the good times and the bad. You stood tall and proud at all times. The pride you had for your children and grandchildren was shared with all. God has finally finished building your castle and he has welcomed you home with open arms. We will say goodbye but we will always hold tight to the memories that you have given us. You can now rest in peace because your mortal body is out of pain. We love you always. Shirley Thumb Thursday, October 13, 2005 Sept., 1973 Oct., 2005 Shirley Thumb died at the age of 32 years old. Leaving her oldest daughter Cheyenne (13), second oldest Sean, (12, deceased) son, Nicomas, (9) daughter, Jayden, (8) and youngest son Damien (6). She was born in the state of Montana, where she spent most of her life. Shirley's nick-name was Cissee. She gave birth to her oldest child, Cheyenne, when she was 19 years old. She gave birth to her second child, Sean, when she was 20. She came to Utah one year later. Having these children made her a tough mom at such a young age, also by being a single parent. She had three more children less then a few years apart. All of her kids were her pride and joy. Those who knew her knew that she was a kind and caring person. She was that way especially with her kids. The time she spent with them was precious and meaningful she was a kind mother and a good "wife-to-be" to her fiance, Ziggy. Cissee was thrown many curveballs in her short life, but she dodged them and made everything worthwhile. She was a survivor and a fighter. She did her best to stay on the right path. She accomplished a lot and had many talents such as, writing and poetry. She was also a wonderful singer. She lost her son Sean when he was at the age of five. This was very difficult for her family to handle, as well as herself. She helped them get through it and others along the way Cissee believed that when one died their body rested here on earth and your spirit was with your father in heaven. She is in a "better place". Her soul rests within our hearts and we know that she is looking down on us Love you mom A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 E. 2850 N., N.
