He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 17, 1960 to Edwin Lynn and Catherine Parker Garner. A life long resident of Hooper he graduated from Roy High School and LDS Seminary. He had been employed by the Davis School District and had worked his life on the family dairy farm. In addition, he was a member of the Hooper Home -Town Players, performing as a vocalist and a bass guitarist. He was a gifted and self-taught electrician and handy man who enjoyed a huge collection of toy trains. He was happiest when he was in his truck or tractor with his dog McGregor. He was a kind and dutiful son to his mother and an ailing father until his fathers death. A member of the LDS church, he was an Elder and Primary teacher in the Hooper Third Ward. The youngest of eight, he is survived by Cathye (Fred) Cox, Edwin Garner, Jay Garner, Carol Anne (Leon) Bennett, all of Hooper; Elaine (Gary) Lessig, Joan (Bruce) Cook, both of Layton; John Garner of Ogden; and his mother of Hooper as well as many nieces, nephews, and loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Hooper South Chapel, 5601 South 6100 West, Hooper with Bishop Kory Green officiating. Friends may call on Friday at Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 South 1900 West from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Hooper City Cemetery. Ned's family wishes to express their love and thanks to the kind and most helpful hospital and Hospice staff as well as fellow patients who compassionately took care of his many needs. Belva B. Nelson Friday, October 14, 2005 Belva Rose Benzley Nelson of Brigham City, Utah returned to her Heavenly Father Wednesday, October 12, 2005. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City. Phyllis Clayton Glines Friday, October 14, 2005 LAYTON - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend entered into Heaven on Monday, October 10, 2005. Born February 15, 1923, to Wynn and Emma Ward Clayton, she was raised by Don and Verlie Ward following her mothers death. She graduated from Box Elder High School as Valedictorian and graduated from Dee School of Nursing in 1944. She later retired after 30 years as a public health nurse and school nurse for Davis County. She married Darrell E. Glines on September 11, 1944 in Oakland, CA. They were married 52 years. He passed away on July 22, 1997. She married Golden Sill on August 1, 1998 in Layton, Utah. He passed away on November 27, 2002. Phyllis and Darrell were parents of three sons, Douglas, Allen and Dennis Ray Glines. Her second son Allen was killed in Vietnam in 1968, at that time she joined and was very active in the Gold Star Mothers of America and served as President. Phyllis was a member of the Layton LDS 4th Ward. Her family was the center of her life. She also enjoyed bowling, reading, traveling, gardening and canning preserves. Phyllis was generous, caring, loving, spunky and kind with a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all. Surviving are two sons, Douglas (daughter-in-law, Peggy Halls) and Dennis Ray (Marilyn), two grandchildren, Marissa Rae Glines and Michalia Reece, great-grandson, Zackery Thomas, extended family, Don and Verlie Ward Family and the Golden Sill Family. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, son, parents and sister, Romaine. Dena Lamb Friday, October 14, 2005 PLYMOUTH - Dena Ann Knudson Lamb was born on May 13,1918 in Brigham City, Utah to Jesse Arnold Knudson and Ethel Hannah Kelly, slipped away peacefully on Oct. 7, 2005. She married Verno Keith Lamb on Jan 18, 1939 in the Logan Temple. They've lived in Mississippi,California, and then resided in Plymouthfor over 50 years. They had one son, Arnold. She helped her husband in the Lamb's Service Station for 40 years. She also worked in the cafeteria at Nucor. For over 40 years she reported the weather for Plymouth. She served in various church positions but mostly she worked in the young women program.Her hobbies included fishing,camping, and being with her family and friends. She was the chauffeur for "TheOld Dolls" in Plymouth. They traveled to the Temple, ball games, out to lunch, and to town. They enjoyed the company of each other. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Keith, five brothers Charles, Kelly, Barry, Owen, and Delbert. She is survived by her brothers Ron, Curtis, and sisters Barbara Olsen and Nina Ward. Six grandchildren Keith (Lynn), Aaron (Joyce), Pacer (Hollie), Nann White (Travis), Tai Lynne Christensen andKendra Merrell, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. There will be a viewing at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Thursday, October 13, from 6-8 p.m., and from 9:30-10:45 prior to the services at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14, at the Belmont chapel located at 16925 North 5200 West. Orvis Leland Peterson Friday, October 14, 2005 HUNTSVILLE- Orvis Leland Peterson, 86, passed away October 8, 2005 in Ogden. Orvis was born December 25, 1918 in Huntsville, UT to Joseph and Mary Peterson. Orvis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. He is survived by two sisters, Ruth Huband and Mary Marker. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters. A family and friends gathering will be held on Saturday from 10 to 10:45 am prior to the service.
