He was born May 10, 2001 in Layton the son of Bryan Eugene and Stormi Lynn Eastman Poulsen. Frehley enjoyed Sunday school. He was an avid collector of Hot Wheel Cars and liked playing games on his computer. Marilyn John Bergeson Wednesday, October 19, 2005 Marilyn J. Bergeson, Maumelle, AR, passed away suddenly on Oct 14, 2005. Marilyn was born and raised in Ogden, UT, graduating from Bonneville High School. Her parents Reese and Alene John preceded her in death. Marilyn had lived in Northern California for a number of years, and in Denver, CO, and for the last eight years in Maumelle, AR. She will be greatly missed by her husband Neil and children Andy Bergeson and wife Pam, Placerville, CA; Jaemi Bergeson Braner and husband, Les, Roseville, CA; and Wendi Bergeson, Sacramento, CA. Marilyn also has a sister, Kathleen Douglas, of Modesto, CA, and five grandchildren: Ashli, Ryan, Kelli, Maddi, and Lucas. Marilyn had a great love for animals and flowers and was extremely talented in floral design. Jimmy Verl Mayer Wednesday, October 19, 2005 CLEARFIELD - Jimmy Verl Mayer, 31, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on October 14, 2005. He was born on August 14, 1974 the son of James N. and Verlina Bodily Mayer. Jim was an avid Vikings and Cub Fan. He loved to play softball playing on a mens team and a co-ed team. He also loved hunting, camping and fishing especially with his best friend of many years Brian Roth. Jim is survived by his mother, three sisters, Stephanie Mayer and Stacey Mayer, Kasey Cervinski, one brother, Nathan Boren, two daughters, Aubrey and Orien, two grandmothers, Ursula Mayer and Maryanne Bodily Creel, his fiancee Vicki Bird, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. He had worked as a salesman for many years and had the ability to sell anyone anything. Jim loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Thompson Wednesday, October 19, 2005 SUNSET - LeRoy Thompson, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed Friday, October 14, 2005. He was born October 1, 1928; he was 77. LeRoy is survived by his wife of 53 years Florence, daughters Marie Orzel and Leta Ann Thompson- Hughes, granddaughters Michelle and Christian, and great grandchildren Renee & CJ. He was a decorated Air Force veteran, serving in Korea and Vietnam. He was the church pianist and organist of First Baptist Church of Roy for 38 yrs. He also regularly shared his love of music with several senior homes in the area. His other passions included sports, stamps and chess. She was born May 7, 1932 in Oakland, California, a daughter of Charles and Anna Jacobs. She married Donald R. Pasquini on Sept 13, 1963 in Ogden. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was employed as a cook for Bonneville High School and at Wasatch Care Center as a housekeeper. She was a member of the Catholic Church where she enjoyed teaching CCD and other church activities. Surviving are two sons and one daughter; Donald G. (Debbbie Johnson) Pasquini, Layton; Jim Jarozewski (Mary Ann), Mesa, AZ; Denise (Earl) Shaw, Boise, Idaho. Three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are two brothers, Robert Jacobs, Salt Lake City; Ray Jacobs, Clearfield. Funeral services will be held at the graveside in the Ogden City Cemetery, Friday, Oct. 21, at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Larkin & Sons Mortuary, 496 24th St., Ogden, Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. with rosary recited at 8 p.m. Eric Trent Gibby Wednesday, October 19, 2005 Eric was born January 7, 1982 and returned home to his Heavenly Father October 15, 2005 after injuries sustained due to an accident. Eric loved to be outdoors and was always active. He loved to go hunting, fishing, and just about anything that would keep him outside, including skateboarding and cliff diving. His first love besides his dog Raskal was snowboarding and he was very good at it, he was currently trying out for the Olympic Snowboard Team. Eric will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family. He just had a way of making everyone around him happy and keep them laughing. Eric is survived by his parents, Arthur J. Gibby, Jr. and Deborah Jean Petersen Gibby of MSC; brothers, Jared (Lisa) and nephew Randall of Riverdale; Aaron (April), and nephew Kaiden his little dude of Riverdale; sister, Shanna of MSC; his daughter soon to arrive; and grandparents, Arthur Johnston Gibby, and Juanita Marie Billow Dalton. She was born November 12, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Donald and Lois Maroney. She married her sweetheart David Cunningham on April 18, 1981 in Layton. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. She worked 30 years at Monte Vista with the special needs children and retired in 1999. Diana loved to camp, bowl, golf, crochet and make porcelain dolls. She had a great love for the Boy Scout program and touched many boys lives. She is survived by her husband, David, her mother, Lois, two brothers, Don (Sylvia), Lonnie (Becky) and sister-in-law, Millie, brother-in-laws, Jerry (Mary), Jim, and Ron (Linda), sister-inlaw, Lorraine and many nieces and nephews. She was born March 22, 1952. Her father was Paul Lee, now deceased. Her mother is Zyrel Goucher Bonnar, living in Indian Wells, CA. Lori's former husband is Terry Knutti. Lori is survived by her mother, stepfather William Bonnar, and three children, Jason Knutti, Shauna Bradshaw, Sarah Sager and five grandchildren. Lori loved taking care of older people, and they all loved her. She had a positive attitude and a smile that always brought a return. She was born to Doris Jean Gordon on October 10, 1976 in Ogden. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School. She married Israel Trujillo on Feb. 13, 1998. She was a very loving and caring person, and was always happy and had a nice laugh. She enjoyed her work with those who were disabled, enjoyed attending church, liked to sew, and was a great mom. She is survived by her husband, Israel Trujillo; her two daughters, Ashelley and Amanda Trujillo; her Dad, Derrick Parker; three sisters, Tina Janelle Mitchell, Florida; Melany Elizabeth and Melissa Michelle Parker, both of Ogden; and one brother, Matthew Robert Gordon, Ogden; a foster sister, Autumn Hart of Ogden, grandparents, Jerald and JoAnn Gordon; aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Jean Parker. Helen A. Brown Wednesday, October 19, 2005 OGDEN - Helen Mary Adams Brown, 87, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005, at the McKay-Dee Hospital. She was born Sept. 12, 1918, in Layton, Utah, a daughter of Daniel H. and Mary K. Fraiser Adams. She graduated from Davis High School in 1936 and attended Utah State University from 1936 to 1939. She married Lewis V. Brown on Jan. 15, 1944, in Glendale, Calif. He died Sept. 2, 1965. She was a life long resident of Davis and Weber Counties. She had been employed as a job classifications analyst at the Ogden Arsenal. She was homemaker and later a medical/admitting clerk at the McKay-Dee Hospital. Helen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday- Saints and had served in the Mt. Ogden Ward as junior Sunday School coordinator. She was a volunteer for the McKay-Dee Hospital Auxiliary from 1965 to 2002 and served as president for three years. Surviving are two daughters, Valerie (Arne) Brown Marsh Meeker, Portland, Oregon, and Carolyn Brown Olsen, Eden; three grandchildren, Natalie Marsh, New Orleans, Louisiana; Michael Olsen, Logan, and Jesse Olsen, Eden, Utah; one brother, Beecher Dan Adams, Salt Lake City; and one sister, Virginia (Wayne) Adams Winegar, Layton. Patricia Pat Bruerton Poulter Wednesday, October 19, 2005 HUNTSVILLE - Patricia Jean Poulter, age 73, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2005 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born July 8th, 1932 in Ogden, Utah to Alfred E. Bruerton and Ruth C. Hansen. Pat was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She attended Mound Fort School and graduated from Ogden High School. She later attended Weber College. She joined the Air Force in 1951 and was stationed at Brookley AFB in Mobile, Alabama. After her discharge from the Air Force, she worked as an administrative assistant at HAFB. She married William L. Bill Poulter on December 1st, 1956 in Elko, NV. She quit her job to raise her family and later returned to work at HAFB after the boys were grown where she retired in 1992. Pat loved the mountains and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She served as adjutant with The American Legion Post 129 in Ogden Valley. She was also secretary of the Golden Spike Mule Association and served in various other organizations and led a very active life. She was a member of the BPOE Does. She enjoyed cross-stitching, knitting and spending time camping and going on pack trips to the Teton wilderness area. She is survived by her husband of Huntsville; sister Marilyn (Dick) Wade of Ogden; four sons, James of Huntsville; Jon (Marie) of North Ogden; KC (Donna) of Ogden; and Clay of Liberty. She has five grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Winnafred Grano, Annette Shipley, and brother Al Bud Bruerton. LeOra Edna Wheeler Bingham Wednesday, October 19, 2005 PLAIN CITY - Our loving mother returned peacefully to our Heavenly Father Saturday, October 15, 2005. She was born July 16, 1913 in Plain City, Utah, the daughter of Frederick Martin and Adline Ruth Hodson Wheeler. She was the second of seven children. Mom married her high school sweetheart, Ivan Ryon Bingham June 6, 1930. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were married for 67 years when Dad passed away, November 29, 1997. They were the proud parents of fourteen children. They enjoyed traveling with family, especially to Canyon Lands, Lake Powell, Hawaii and Colorado. Square dancing and meeting new friends gave them much joy with wonderful memories. Mom had a sweet spirit, she showed much empathy and support to others. We enjoyed her sense of humor and will miss her greatly. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints Plain City Ward. She has held various positions in Sunday School and Relief Society. She loved her visiting teacher calling. She enjoyed attending church and community functions up until her illness in July. She is survived by her children, J.D. (Lorene), Farrell (Zona), Beverly (Morris) Law, Marilyn (Bob) Wakefield, Donna (Norm) Steadman, Ilene Lee, Pat Jorgensen, Shirlene (Terry) Tranmer, Deb (Ron) Salibury, Sherm (Gaile),; daughter-in-law, Penny (Dick) Rankin; many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren; one sister, Leah (Earl) Cevering and one brother, Marshall Erickson. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons, Lamar, Douglas, Ryon, a daughter, Tamara, a grandson, Brad, two brothers, Vern and Elmer, and two sisters, Leone and Dorothy. Duane Patterson Russell Wednesday, October 19, 2005 HOOPER - Duane Patterson Russell, 84, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 15, 2005, at his home in the presence of his loving family. Duane was born August 13, 1921, in Hooper, Utah, the son of John Dale and Frances Patterson Russell. On November 20, 1947, Duane married Verlene Rigby in Hooper. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. They resided in Sunset from 1960 to 2001 and then returned to live in Hooper. Duane graduated from Weber County High School and Weber State College. He also attended Utah State Agriculture College and St. Mary's College, training as a naval cadet. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. He held the office of High Priest. Throughout his life, Duane served in several church callings including: teaching, Sunday School Presidency, High Priest Group Leadership, and home teacher. He was a charter member of the Hooper Lion's Club. At Weber State, he was a member of Sigma Delta Phi, wrestling, swimming, and debate teams. Duane had fond memories of playing on the championship Hooper baseball team, and he loved sports throughout his life. Love of country and patriotism were important to Duane. He served in the Naval Air Corp. as a fighter-bomber pilot on the U.S.S. Intrepid aircraft carrier during World War II, where he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and two air medals. After serving in the military, farming was all Duane ever wanted to do; it was his passion. He had a genuine love of the land. He took great pride in farming, improving and working the soil. He raised cattle and pigs, and he enjoyed many teams of draft horses. He also enjoyed riding his horse until the end of his life. Duane had a great love for his family. He is survived by his wife, Verlene; four children, Elizabeth (Meb) King, Riverside, Utah; Robert Russell, Sandy; John (Carolyn) Russell, Hooper; Anne (Don) Anderson, Hooper; his grandchildren, Jared (Jaimie), Lane, Lauren, J.D., Adam, Jake, Wyatt and Alex; one sister, Geraldine (Dennie) Prevedel, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Wayne, Max and Dee, and his sisters, June Manning and Beth Robinson. Duane is loved by his posterity and they will look up to him for his hard work, ambition and integrity.
