Delgado Aydelott Wednesday, September 7, 2005 ROY - Our loving Mother, Sister, Grandma and Friend passed away Sunday, September 4, 2005. Maria, 72, was surrounded by her loving family, the way she wanted. She was born October 25, 1933 in McAllen, Texas to Isabel (father) and Leonor (mother) Barrera. On April 18, 1950 she married Filiberto C. Delgado and together they had five daughters and 10 sons. They moved to Clearfield, UT in 1958. Together they ran "Delgados Cafe. They later divorced. Maria was re-married on October 25, 1977 to Jerry Aydelott. They spent every moment together until Jerry's passing in 1997, with his devoted wife by his side. In her youth Maria worked as a nursing assistant. Maria also took part in the start-up of the Head Start program in Ogden, UT. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her 15 children with unconditional love. Her "Famillia" was her life's work, her passion and she did it well. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She loved fishing, bingo, dancing, cooking, collecting coins and most of all spending time with her children and their families. Maria is survived by the following children and their spouses: Dora of WA, Filiberto, Gilbert, David, Andy, Angel, Pedro, Maria Anna and Leonor of UT, Domingo of FL. And Yolanda, Linda, Rey, William and Francisco of TX; over 120 grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; sisters, Aida Valdez and Enelda Wallers of Las Vegas, NV, Minnie Obregon of CA, Deana Sharp of MS, Tina Bolden and her brother, Amado Barrera of TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Aydelott, her parents and her brother, Lazaro Barrera. Wanda Lou Brostrom Wednesday, September 7, 2005 RICHMOND, Virginia - Wanda Lou Brostrom, 79, passed away after a short battle with cancer and surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, September 2, 2005. Wanda was born November 9, 1925 in Lorraine, Illinois, a daughter of Louis and Ruth Hess. She graduated from Gem City Business College in Quincey, Illinois. She married Wayne G. Brostrom. He preceded her in death. Wanda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. She held numerous callings throughout her life. She enjoyed working with the children. She served twice as a Relief Society President and served a mission as the secretary to the Mission President in London, England. Later she served a second mission in New Zealand at the New Zealand Temple. Wanda also served in the Los Angeles, California and Washington D.C. temples. In addition to raising her family, which was always her highest priority, she worked at the Boy Scout Office in East St. Louis, Illinois; Amcor in Ogden, Utah; and was secretary to the English Department at Weber State University. S he leaves behind a loving family including six children: Hal (Terri) Brostrom, Farmington, UT; Calvin (Judy) Brostrom, Cary, NC; Ruth Christian, Richmond, VA; LuWain (Jim) Proctor, Orem, UT; David (Becky) Brostrom, Ogden, UT; and Dawn (Keith) Jensen, Layton, UT. She also dearly loved her 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was born June 5, 1927 in Layton the daughter of George F. and Phebe Ellen Porter Ellis. Clara married Warren B. Dowdle Sr. on July 16, 1946 in Layton. She was a member of the Layton 4th Ward. She enjoyed handicrafts, sewing and crocheting. Surviving are his loving husband of 59 years, six sons, Ben, James, Patrick, Greg, Brad, Fred, three daughters, Cora Wiggins, Shree Nash, Erlene Tanner, 28 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren. Stuart Wednesday, September 7, 2005 OGDEN - Lillian Hodges Stuart, passed away at the age of 93 on Saturday, September 3, 2005. She was born May 9, 1912, in Garden City, Utah, to Nathanial John and Rosa Ellen Early Hodges, the fourth of six children. She graduated from North Rich High School in Laketown, Utah and attended Utah State where she met the love of her life, Carl G Stuart. Lillian and Carl were married September 7, 1932, for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in Randolph, Utah for 20 years before moving to Ogden. Carl passed away November 1, 1991. Lillian remained in the Ogden area until her death. Lillian loved being a full time wife and mother. After her children were grown, she began her career at Weight Watchers, where she worked for several years. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints. She served as a teacher in many organizations and was also a Visiting Teacher, Relief Society President and Stake Relief Society Secretary. Lillian and Carl worked in the Ogden Temple for eight years. She was happiest when she was serving others. She is survived by four children: Allan (LeeOnna) Stuart, West Valley City; Nanette Anderson, Ogden; John Mark (Edna) Stuart, Taylorsville; Darlene (Reed) Scothern, Ogden; nine grandchildren: Ray, Joni, Brenda, Sharon, Jerry, Larry, Erica, Amy and Tanja; and nine great-grandchildren: Tracie, Holly, Steven, Greg, Richard, Matthew, McCall, Mikah and KyAnn. Also surviving are two sisters, Norma Arnell, St. Charles, ID; Lolita Garn, Mesa, AZ; and May Hodges, Rigby, ID. David Ray McCafferty Wednesday, September 7, 2005 David Ray McCafferty passed away September 5, 2005 at his home in West Point, Utah. Born February 13, 1928 to Silas and Eva McCafferty in Ephraim, Utah. Right now he is on top of the Manti Mountains taking in the entire Sanpete Valley. He loved his birthplace and always longed to return. He spent his youth as typical country boys do, farm work, chores, and herding sheep on Fish Creek Ridge during the summer months. Of course what ever the regimen lots of fishing and hunting were always included. During his junior year at North Sanpete High School he was so anxious to serve his Country in the WWII effort that he quit high school, told recruiters that he was a year older than his real age and joined the Navy at the age of 17, he made sea duty three months prior to the war's end in August of 1945. He served his nation proudly during the years 1945 through 1949 on the USS Frankford, USS Grayson, USS Arcadia, and his proudest assignment, to the USS Coral Sea. He was a member of the USS Coral Sea Association and attended many annual reunions. Always the athlete he played basketball in high school, competed as an amateur boxer and baseball player while serving in the Navy and during his later years he became an avid tennis player. After proudly serving his country he was a fence man, starting as an installer he eventually moved to sales and before his retirement he was Owner, CEO and President of American Fence Company of Ogden. He served as past President of the Weber Club, active in Rotary, Lions, Elks, FOE and a member of the Ogden Chamber of Commerce. Dave married Jerrie Terry on August 12, 1950; she preceded him in death on February 4, 2005. He is survived by his loving sons and daughter, Arnold (Nancy) Mc- Cafferty, Overton, NV; Terry (Marla) McCafferty, Clinton, UT; Mitzi (Paul) Larsen, West Point, UT; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a very special friend, Linda Imboden, Ogden, UT; brother, Mike (Dianne) McCafferty, Salt Lake City, UT; sister, Elaine (Richard) Condie, Minneapolis, MN; and many nieces and nephews. Bonnie Rae Whitelock Cox Elwood Wednesday, September 7, 2005 WASHINGTON TERRACE - Bonnie Elwood passed away Tuesday September 6, 2005 after a courageous battle with a prolonged illness. She was 75. Bonnie was born February 8, 1930 the oldest daughter of Keith Whitelock and Sarah Sevy in Panguitch, Utah. Bonnie spent her childhood in Panguitch, and Northern Idaho, before settling with her family in Ogden, Utah. Bonnie and her husband raised their three children, Keith, Kathy and Debbie in Clearfield, Utah. The two later divorced. She married her sweetheart Vern Elwood on November 13, 1989 in St. George, Utah. Bonnie and Vern lived in Roy, Utah and enjoyed spending their winters at their home in Overton, Nevada and summers in Henry, Idaho at the Whitelock family marina and caf. Bonnie loved fishing, hunting, telling stories and jokes, writing poetry, playing games, crocheting and baking. She was famous for her flaky piecrusts and award winning doilies. Bonnies poems and stories touched the hearts of those who heard them and her written works will be cherished. Bonnie was a member of the Clearfield 7th Ward and served others with compassion and equality. She worked at Hill Air Force Base before retiring. Her job gave her the opportunity to travel around the country and live for short periods in North Dakota and Hawaii. Bonnie enjoyed being with people and cherished the company of her family and friends she loved so dearly. She was a devoted and kindhearted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and caregiver. She gave her love freely. Her home was full of laughter and happiness and her arms open to anyone in need. We will miss her warm spirit. Bonnie is survived by two children, Keith (Connie) Cox, and Kathy (Scott) Taggart of Ogden, Utah and one son-in-law Ken Robbins of Syracuse, Utah. Nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two sisters: Louise (Steve) Sessions and Karen (Pat) Hillaker and two brothers: Norman (Beth) Sevy and James (Kari Jo) Whitelock. She is preceded in death by her husband Vern Elwood, her parents, two sisters, one brother and her daughter Debbie Robbins. Doris Mae Housley Wednesday, September 7, 2005 RIVERDALE - Our mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Doris Mae Wilde Housley, passed away Monday, September 5, 2005 at the age of 89, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 11, 1916 in Mink Creek, Idaho to Albert and Victoria Wilde. The family moved from Mink Creek to Brigham City, Utah when she was a child. She attended school in Brigham City where her first teacher was her older sister. Doris was married to Reese Housley on September 30, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were married for 61 years before Reese's death in 1997. After retirement in 1978, they traveled extensively to most of the states and to Mexico and Canada. Their winters were spent in Yuma, Arizona. Doris's life career was being a homemaker. Her hobbies were reading, quilting and traveling. She dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She made many quilts and made sure that each member of the family had at least one of these treasures. She was an excellent cook, specializing in bread and pies. She had a quick wit and a keen sense of humor. She had a deep love for people and was a joy to be around. She was a true friend. Doris was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints, faithfully filling various callings throughout her life. She is survived by two sons and three daughters, Reese C. (Shirlee) Housley, Kevin (Lorri) Housley, Sharon Hendrickson, Nila (Thomas) Butterfield, and Vickie (Dave) Lesley; 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, eight greatgreat- grandchildren, and one sister, Beth Meacham, Elsinore Mountain, CA. Susie Grunig Wednesday, September 7, 2005 BRIGHAM CITY - Susie Dukes Grunig, 87 passed away on September 5, 2005 in at the Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City. S usie was born in Nounan, Idaho on June 9, 1918 a daughter of Ora W. and Viola Clara Minning Dukes. She married Herman L. Grunig on October 1, 1935 in Randolph, Utah, he died on January 28, 1976. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. She worked in the Genealogy Library in Brigham for many years. Surviving are her children, Gary H. (Deanna) Grunig, Brigham City, UT; Cherie G. (John) Garfield, Roy, UT; four grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren, brother, Bruce E. Dukes, Quinn, MI. Richins Wednesday, September 7, 2005 OREM - Our beloved Eleanor Margaret Toone Richins passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Eleanor was born May 26, 1910 in Croyden, Utah, the daughter of Lyon Lemuel and Elizabeth Alice Gibson Toone, and was named after her two grandmothers. She married Lloyd William Richins on July 6, 1929. Lloyd passed away on July 3, 1991. Eleanor was parted from her mother at the early age of six. Many kind relatives reared her over the years. In spite of her hardships, she had a kind and giving spirit. The joys in Eleanor's young life were centered around the farm and the wild country while working with her father. Eleanor was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. She served in her community in many capacities, including voter registrar. Many enjoyed her handcrafted items. Eleanor will always be remembered for her attention to her family and for her desire to see to their happiness and well-being. She fulfilled countless roles as a mother and wife while she raised her family. All of this brought her great joy and satisfaction. She had a profound influence on her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren through her encouragement, interest, and love. Eleanor leaves behind four loving children: Margaret Roitz, Fort Bridger, WY; Donald Toone, and Lynnette Richins, both of Orem; Teresa Jones, Las Casas, TN; Jerry Richins, Ogden; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Her siblings, Norman Toone and Betty Jean Leach, also mourn her passing. Her son, Robert Richins, and sisters, Maytie Alice Platt and Irene Farnsworth, preceded her in death. Beverly Jeppsen Anderson Young Wednesday, September 7, 2005 OGDEN - Beverly Joyce Jeppsen Anderson Young, 65, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. She was born on December 4, 1939 in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of Merlin Harvey and Marion Clay Jeppsen. Beverly married Ferris Anderson in Ogden, Utah. From this union they had two sons, Keith and Scott Anderson. They were later divorced. She then married L.D. Young in Texas. They later divorced. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Beverly enjoyed crochet and handiwork. Surviving is one son, Scott of South Salt Lake; her mother, Marion C. Jeppsen, Perry; three sisters, Merline Bessinger, Perry; Susan (Richard) Nisogi, Salt Lake City; Debra Jeppsen, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Keith Anderson and her father, Merlin Jeppsen. Hamblin Wednesday, September 7, 2005 1947-2005 Our brother, Michael D. Hamblin, passed away on September 5, 2005, after an extended illness. Being born in Ogden, Utah , he attended the Weber County Schools. One of his favorite school activities was Cheerleading for Weber High School. In his early years he worked at Cross Western Store, on 22nd and Washington Blvd. Moving around a lot, Mike met many good friends who gave him a lot of kindness and support. Thanks to Ian and Karl. He loved those around him, and offered his services to our Country, during the Vietnam War. We appreciated him so much and salute him for his part, in fighting for freedom!! Mike was born to David Don Hamblin and Emma Thomas Hamblin, both deceased. He had seven brothers and sisters: Karen (and David Shipley), Joann (and Stephen Harris), Janet Heslop, Gwen (and Michael Hall), Bob (and Kathy Hamblin). His two younger brothers, David Hamblin and Jed Hamblin also preceded him in death. We acknowledge that a great reunion must have occurred as Mike passed the veil, with loved ones opening their arms of love and reassurance. Mike, you fought hard, during the many battles you faced during this lifetime. You seldom complained, not wanting to burden anyone else, and have been such a good example of endurance to us all. We are proud to call you our brother and look forward to seeing you again. But until then, know we love you and will miss you dearly. Interment at Washington Heights Memorial Park Ruben James Villalobos Wednesday, September 7, 2005 OGDEN - Ruben James Villalobos, 22, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2005 in Wyoming from a swimming accident. Ruben was born May 25, 1983 in Ogden to Ruben Jesus and Stella Anita Lopez Villalobos. Ruben was baptized Catholic and recently enjoyed reading the bible. He also enjoyed basketball, boating, football and was an avid sports fan. He loved music and dancing, hanging out with his friends and cousins, playing with his dog Copper, camping, cars and girls. Spending time with his family was his joy. Surviving are his parents, Ruben and Stella Villalobos; grandparents, Daniel Lopez, Ruben H. Villalobos, Paul Ponce; and two sisters, Andrea and Gabrielle. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, Sylvia, Nick (Debbie), Lisa, Dan, James (Marcilla), and many cousins. He was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Dorothy Lopez and Ruth Villalobos, and an uncle, Ronnie. Fronk Wednesday, September 7, 2005 OGDEN - Lester Phillips Fronk, 79, died Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, at his home. He was born Dec. 4, 1925, in Ogden, a son of William A. and Mae Estelle Phillips Fronk. He married Elaine Moyes on Jan. 17, 1946, in Ogden. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a life long resident of Ogden. He had worked for Becker's Brewery and for Continental Baking Co. as a salesman, retiring in 1988. He was a longtime member of the Teamster's Union. He enjoyed collecting everything, taking pictures, and especially being with his family. Les was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, Memorial Park Ward. He served in various positions in the church and was a temple worker in the Ogden Temple. Surviving are his loving wife, Elaine, Ogden, one son and two daughters, L. Scott (Karen) Fronk, North Ogden, Sheryl Fronk, Salt Lake City; Lisa Fronk, Ogden; a daughter-in-law, Colette Larsen, Kaysville; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and one sister, M. Don Fronk, Ft. Collins, Colo. and Marcell Morris, Ogden. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Gregory Fronk, and a grandson, Jacob. Merrill Hill Wednesday, September 7, 2005 GARLAND - Our father, a man of integrity and selfless service died September 4, 2005 due to complications of cancer, under the loving care of his wife Melva Alice Sorensen Hill, his eternal companion. They were married May 18, 1957 and sealed in the Logan Temple in 1959. He was born March 2, 1932 in Utah to Joseph Vernal Hill and Christina Glenn Gee. He is survived by his six children and their spouses, Randolph Merrill 47 (Donnette), Vera Lynn 45 (Jeff), Daniel Shane 44 (Camille), April Marie 42 (Scott), Misti Maxine 40 (Brian), Jeff Edward 35 (Michelle). He has 21 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A few of his accomplishments are 38 years of serving in the Utah National Guard, 45 years of serving the Garland City as a volunteer fireman and several years as a part time police officer. He was employed for 34 years as a machinist for Thiokol. He loved his country and served in the Korean Conflict from 1950-1952. Funeral Services will be held Friday September 9 at 10:00 am at the Garland Tabernacle, located at 140 West Factory in Garland.
