Edie was born May 18, 1923 in Bern, Switzerland, to Jules and Emilie Brenckle. After joining the LDS church, the family immigrated to America. At this time, Edie was only four years old. They ended up in beautiful Cache Valley, making Logan, Utah their home. Her father, Jules, passed away a few years after they immigrated to America. Her mother, Emilie, remarried Henry K. Aebischer whom Edie loved and who helped raise her from a young age. Edie graduated from Logan High School, and then attended Utah State University for one year. At age 21, she moved to California with friends. It was there that she met her future husband, Joe Robins. They married July 5, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had two daughters. Edie worked as a bank teller for Bank of America, but spent most of her life as a wonderful mother and homemaker. Joe and Edie spent most of their married life in Southern California. After Joe retired in 1982, they moved to Morgan, Utah. They made many friends and enjoyed the quiet beauty of Morgan Valley. Edie enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing, taking care of her home and family. She loved being with her family and grandchildren. They were the joy of her life. Our mother blessed our lives with kindness and love. She was always caring and thoughtful. She was a wonderful mother and always took such good care of her entire family. She will be greatly missed by surviving loved ones: daughters, Jan (Roland) Sinfield and Nancy (Randy) Mikesell; seven grandchildren, Matt, Melissa, Megan, Robin, Jenni, Jamie and Andrew; and one great-grandson, Logan; two sisters, Bernina DeLoach, Analore Sorensen and one brother, Louie Aebischer. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a sister, Myrtle Weston. The family would like to express many thanks to Legacy House of Ogden Assisted Living for their kind and loving care of our mother. Lane Tuesday, September 20, 2005 BRIGHAM CITY - Leona Ruby Snow Lane, 78, loving wife, mother and friend, surrounded by friends and family, passed away on September 17, 2005 of causes incident to age. When Leona was around there was always enough to share. Enough food, enough space, enough love. She always taught her family that the more you loved the more you could love. Leona was born in Jerome, Idaho on April 29, 1927 the daughter of Lorenzo and Ruby Snow. She had one sister Mary and one brother Max. After 8 years of writing back and forth as pen pals Leona married William R. Lane on November 22, 1943 in Hawthorne, NV. They later had their marriage solemnized in the Los Angles, CA Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints on June 6, 1963. They had nine children. Leona was very active as a member of the Brigham City Lake View Ward. She had many callings in the Relief Society, Primary, Cub Scouts and Young Womens organizations. Leona taught her family unconditional love of all. She had a wonderful life of service to others. She worked at the Deseret Industries, the USO in Babbitt, NV and Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City, UT. She was a home making specialist for the State of California and taught families how to live and eat on a budget. She has been a resident of Brigham City for 40 years and has loved the City and the many friends she has made. She loved spending time with her family. She will always be in our hearts. Surviving are her children: William R. (Betty) Lane, Jr., Otsego, MN; Terry T. (Mary) Lane, San Diego, CA; Randy M. (Jacque) Lane, Thatcher, UT; Dianne Lane (Jimmy) DeLancey, Antioch, TN; Naomi Lane Francis, Richmond, UT; Kevin W. (Gayla) Lane, Brigham City, UT; Dalinda Lane Rasmussen, Brigham City, UT; 33 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sons, Edward Lorenzo Lane and Devon B. Lane. Dr. Darren John Davis Tuesday, September 20, 2005 GARLAND - Dr. Darren John Davis, 31, of Garland, passed away on the family farm Thursday, September 15th, 2005. He was born to Ronald J. Davis and Carol Kesler Davis in Logan, Utah on April 24, 1974. He graduated from Bear River High School and Garland LDS Seminary in 1992. He attended Bridgerland Applied Technology College and graduated with an Associate Degree in Computer Drafting. He then was called to serve in the Bristol England Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. He attended Ricks College for two years receiving his Associate Degree in Physical and Mathematics Sciences. He attended BYU graduating with his Bachelors Degree in Zoology (Pre-Med.). He attended Indiana University Purdue University School of Dentistry, graduating with his Doctorate of Dentistry Degree. Darren has been practicing at Logan Dental Associates for one year. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, photography, and playing with the children of friends and family. He was especially talented at making friends everywhere he went. Darren is survived by his parents - Ron and Carol Davis, Garland; his brothers - Gary L. (Jessika) Davis, Garland; Terry R. Interment will be in the Garland City Cemetery. Uarda Mathias Owen Tuesday, September 20, 2005 BRIGHAM CITY - Uarda Mathias Owen returned to her heavenly home on Saturday, August 17, 2005. Uarda was born March 25, 1915 in Brigham City, Utah to John Burbank Mathias and Esther Marble. She married Fred Benson Owen on August 6, 1938. They were later sealed in the Ogden Temple. They made their home in Brigham City, Utah. He passed away July 9, 1987. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. She served as a counselor in the MIA and in other church positions. She was one the first women to be involved with the Peach Queen Pageant. She was a beautician, worked at Sonomas Dress Shop and was a member of the Civic Improvement Club. She liked boating at Bear Lake, playing bridge with her friends, golfing, shopping and spending winters in California and Arizona with her husband and friends. Her love of life was her husband Fred, her family and her home. She is survived by her children, Fred M. (Karen) Owen, Springville, UT; Janet (D. Frank) Anderson, Timber Lakes, UT; Carolyn (Dean) Wells, Willard, UT; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a greatgranddaughter, a sister and two brothers. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery. James Turrel Patterson Tuesday, September 20, 2005 ROY - James Turrel Patterson, 74, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2005. He was born to Leslie T. and Mildred Wakeman Patterson on October 25, 1930. He graduated from Ogden High School and Weber State College. He married Carlene W. Wakley on August 25, 1949. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had six children: Mark (Sheri) Patterson, Dann (Debbie) Patterson, both deceased. Randy Patterson, deceased, Ned (Linda) Patterson, Becky (Steve) Kennedy, Teresa (Paul) Villarruel. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, two brothers, his children, 16 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons and daughter- in-law. Davis Allison, 85, passed away Friday, September 16, 2005 at Mountain View Center of natural causes. She was born January 7, 1920 in Logan, Utah to Orson Heber and Idella Nyman Cronquist. She married Howard Davis who preceded her in death. In 1974 she then married Wilfred Allison. He also preceded her in death. She and Howard lived in Ogden, Utah and San Lorenzo, CA. After his death she moved to the Salt Lake area and after remarrying she moved to North Ogden. She lived and attended school in Benson Ward, Utah and North Logan, Utah. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ben Lomond 5th Ward. She loved temple work, visiting teaching, her home, her garden and her friends. She was an avid bowler and golfer in her younger years. She enjoyed watching all sports. She is survived by her son, Michael of North Ogden, three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Katie) Davis, Nicole (Gary) Brook and Jodell (Eric) Ghesquiere, all of Colorado and six great-grandchildren, Ryan, Allison, Taylor, Colton, Chandler and Kennedy. She is also survived by her sister, Renia Mooseman of Spokane, WA and one brother, R. Oly Cronquist of Smithfield. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, three brothers, four sisters and her dear son Gary G. Davis. Bobby (Bob) E. Call Tuesday, September 20, 2005 MARICOPA, Arizona - Bob Call passed away Sept. 16, 2005 in Casa Grande, AZ at the age of 72. He was born August 20, 1933 in Penrose, UT to Edgar D. and Ruth Fredrickson Call. He married Shirley Payne, they had four children together; they later divorced. The last 37 years was spent with his spouse Mary Ellen Barker Call. He lived many years in Ogden working at Ogden Iron Works and Taylor Steel. He later spent nine years working at Cosanti Foundries in Paradise Valley, AZ. He is survived by his spouse Mary Ellen of Maricopa, AZ; one daughter Pat Anderson of Tucson, AZ; one son Max Call of Ogden, UT; six grandchildren; four-great grandchildren; one sister Nadine Martin of SLC, UT; two brothers Rex (Fran) Call, Ogden, UT; Roy (Lynda) Call of Layton, UT; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by one stepson Dennis Barker and one step granddaughter Amanda Barker. Robert N. Kempe Tuesday, September 20, 2005 NORTH OGDEN - Robert N. Kempe, 71, former resident of Soda Springs, Idaho, passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side, on Sunday, September 18, 2005 from a chronic illness. He was born July 9, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, a son of Walter and Erika Kempe. Robert settled in Salt Lake City until his marriage to Jeanne Anne Catmull in 1962. They spent their first three years in Germany while he was serving with the U.S. Army. He loved serving his country. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including a second mission to Germany with his wife. Robert worked for the Monsanto Company as a mechanical engineer in Springfield, Massachusetts for 11 years. In 1976 the family moved to Soda Springs, Idaho where he worked another 20 years for Monsanto. He loved the Scouting program and was awarded the Silver Beaver for his service. Robert's hobby was photography. Surviving are his wife, Jeanne Anne, children Robert C. (Debbie) Kempe, Heidi (Adam) Nebeker, Karl (Wendy) Kempe, Stephen Kempe, David Kempe, Sarah (Chris) Rigby, and Michael Kempe. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren whom he dearly loved. Eric Nathaniel Wilson Tuesday, September 20, 2005 WEST HAVEN - Eric Nathaniel Wilson, 16, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2005, at Primary Children's Hospital. He was born May 20, 1989 in Ogden, Utah to Deris D. and Roxanne Wilson. Eric was currently attending Fremont High school where he was in the 11th grade. He had many caring friends and he will be missed by the "lunch bunch". He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints White Rail Ward where he served as a Priest and had many caring teachers and leaders who loved him. Eric loved playing his bass guitar in his band and he loved music by The Clash, Sex Pistols and Johnny Cash. He loved to hang out with his buddies, play computer games and go to the movies. He loved his association with the people of Wasatch Rods and Customs, going to car shows and cruises. Eric is survived by his parents; siblings, Christopher (Ginger) Wilson, Grand Junction, CO; Jacob, currently serving in the New York South, New York Mission; Rachel, West Haven; his cat, Magic; grandparents, Pearl Wilson, Syracuse; Ron and Carol O'Brien, Kalispell, MT; Larry and Marilyn Staley, Sunset; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him. She was born February 11, 1926 in Ogden, Utah to Alfred and Mary Zito Fialdini. She lived and attended school in Ogden, Utah. She married Harold (Andy) Miller on July 7, 1951. Together they had six children, MaryAnn, Gary, Barbara, Kathy, Thomas, and Michael. They later separated. She worked at Unisys Corporation in Salt Lake City, retiring in 1991, where she had many cherished friends. She loved to read and spent many hours doing so. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She is survived by three children, Gary, Kathy (fianc Ralph Rees), and Michael (Michelle), all of Ogden, Utah, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Donna (Al) Metzler, Roy, Utah, along with several nieces and nephews, and cherished family friend Mechell Fowden. She was preceded in death by her parents, three children, (MaryAnn, Barbara, and Thomas), and her sister Patricia. He was born on December 10, 1928 in Los Arroyos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Ralfo married Corina Diaz on August 1, 1950 in Nuevo Laredo Tamaulipas, Mexico. He was a member of the St. Henry's Catholic Church in Brigham City, Utah. Ralfo loved to go fishing, play baseball and watch the Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed going to Wendover and family cookouts. Surviving are his wife, Corina, Brigham City; nine children, Ralfo (Katie) Guajardo, Jr.; Rosa Maria (Gregorio) Santos both of Tremonton; Diana Esther Lopez; Juanita (Liborio) Mendez; Maria Teresa Macias; Jose Ricardo (Marie) Guajardo; Raquel (Carlos) Guadarrama all of Brigham City; Diana Laura (Ivan Cardenas) Guajardo, Salt Lake; Jose Armenta, Brigham City; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; one brother, Valentin Guajardo, four sisters, Maria de Jesus; Antonia Guajardo; Maria Del Refugio and Guadalupe Guajardo. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery. LeRoy Dennis McConnell Tuesday, September 20, 2005 ROY - LeRoy Dennis Mc- Connell, 82, passed away peacefully at his home September 18, 2005. He was born August 4, 1923 in Sioux City, Iowa to LeRoy Sherman and Julia McConnell, and grew up in Chicago, Illinois. On August 5, 1945 he married Edith Kujus, who preceded him in death May 25, 1961. He then married Joan Chambers; they were later divorced. Dennis served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in Pearl Harbor. He worked for UNISYS for 26 years and retired in 1990. Survived by his children Dwight (Claire) of Roy; Linda (Glen) Ballingham of Bountiful, Greg (Ginger) of Birmingham, Alabama; Tim (Heather) of Roy; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Gallegos Tuesday, September 20, 2005 "Gone Fishing" An honorable and respectful man, our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on September 16, 2005 to go to be with our Lord and Savior, and also to join his lovely wife of 61 years, Stella V. Gallegos who preceded him in death on April 18, 2005. Manuel was born to Martin and Asencion Benavidez Gallegos on March 16, 1914 in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico. He married the love of his life Stella V. Valdez on November 16, 1943. He served in WWII where he received an honorable discharge. He retired from Hill Air Force Base as a carpenter. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Dad loved to tell stories, read his Bible, and most of all he loved to go fishing. He will deeply be missed by all. He is survived by daughters Inez (Marvin) Perea and Verna (Paul) Pace; Sons Manuel M. (Emma) and Brian Gallegos; brothers Alfonso, John, Joe Repo; 12 grandchildren 25 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who were special to him. She was born August 12, 1929, in Ogden, Utah, to John Lorin and Lavina Brostrom Frost. Carolyn attended Ogden High School and graduated in 1947. She graduated from the Old Dee Hospital in 1951 as a Registered Nurse. She was the Director of Nursing at Dunn's Wide Horizon Ogden Convalescent Center for 21 years. On December 7, 1951 Carolyn married Raymond B. Hosley in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on July 31, 1964. She loved sewing, crocheting and camping. She enjoyed singing in a ladies singing group. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ray; a son, Jeff (Sheryl) Hosley, Hooper; a daughter, Carren (Rick) Sanders, Farr West; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eileen Marshall, Sunset. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Lorin Frost.
