She was born September 7, 1919, Salt Lake City, a daughter of Auburn and Margurite Taylor Whitaker Chipman. Irene married Peter Dale Bates on August 8, 1941, in Salt Lake City. Their marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dale died October 11, 1991. Irene married Raymond Leslie Adams on December 2, 1995 in Ogden. He preceded her in death, March 11, 2004. She lived in Salt Lake City, Orem, Provo, Ogden and North Ogden. Irene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. She served as a Primary Teacher/President, Young Womens President, Music Director, Ward Librarian, Sunday School Teacher, Relief Society Presidency, Family History Center, and Temple Worker/Mission. She was administrative assistant for 25 years at Hill Air Force Base. She and Dale owned/operated Wedding Bells Service. Irene loved music, playing the piano, oil painting, drama productions and most of all her family. Surviving are three sons and three daughters, Auburn (Pam) Bates, West Point; Norman C. Bates, Layton; Wendell (Lynne) Bates, Phoenix, AZ; Judith (LeRoy) Yorgason, Aloha, OR; Linda (Rick) Brenchley, Ogden; Sherrie Lowe, Roy; stepchildren, R. James Adams, West Point; Holly B. Allison and Cookie Barker, Layton; Laurel G. Byington, Roy; 48 grandchildren and 72 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Afton (Odes) Record and Elaine (David) Hepworth; sister-in-law, Phyllis Chipman; and brother-inlaw, Willard Smith. Irene was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, twin brother Dean Chipman, sister Ruth Smith and her daughter Claudia. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant View 2nd Ward Chapel, 250 W. Elberta Dr., Bishop Richard Woods officiating. Janet Lujean Dickamore Moss Wednesday, September 21, 2005 WEST POINT - Janet Lujean Dickamore Moss, 75, returned to her Father in Heaven on the morning of Saturday, September 17, 2005. She was born September 11, 1931, in Harrisville, Utah, to Mavous and Lillian Dickamore. Janet attended school in Harrisville and also Weber County High School in Ogden. While in High school she participated in many regional music festivals and received many awards. She loved music and played the piano and organ. On July 11, 1951, Janet married John Dean Moss and they have resided in West Point for their entire married life. She was a very talented person doing needle work, sewing, gardening and crafts. She was a hard worker and helped on the farm working along side her husband. Janet was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions over her lifetime. She had a great love of family history and spent many hours at the family history center. Her love and kindness will be missed by all. Janet loved her family, she had four sons, Daniel D. (Jann) Moss, Delco, Idaho; Robert A. (Debra) Moss, Delco, Idaho; Ronald L. (Shirley) Moss, Syracuse; Ricky L. (Linda) Moss, Syracuse; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ken (Thora) Dickamore, Brigham City; and Earl (Ann Marie) Dickamore, Ogden. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Don (Pat) Dickamore and a grandson, Adam Moss. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 24th at 11:00 a.m. at the West Point 11th Ward Chapel, 4500 West 300 North. Maxine Stewart Robbins Wednesday, September 21, 2005 LAYTON - Maxine Stewart Robbins, 89, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at Peach Tree Place in West Haven. Maxine was born March 27, 1916 in Manila, Utah to Erza Wall and Charlotte Francom Stewart. She married Loren Robbins January 28, 1935 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away December 25, 1998. Maxine lived in Payson, Hawthorne, CA and Layton for the last 61 years. She was a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, serving in many callings, mostly involving music. She was very talented playing the piano and organ and leading many church choirs. She worked at Layton Cold Storage for 7 years and Kowley Drug for 22 years. She also taught piano lessons for many years. She loved spending time with her family and always thought of others. Surviving are two children, Roland (Afton) Robbins and Jeanene (Duane ) Child; seven grandchildren, Curtis (Teri) Child, Kristin (Ron) Elinkowski, Eric (Michele) Child, Travis (Courtney) Child, Laurie (Craig) Cruz, Quin (Kathy) Robbins, and Shellie (Howard) Vanfleet; 19 greatgrandchildren, and three greatgreat- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one grandson. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 23, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Park Street LDS Chapel, 275 Park, Layton, with Bishop David McClury, officiating. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindquists Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road, and from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Taylie Anne Garner Wednesday, September 21, 2005 CLEARFIELD - On September 18, 2005 our Little Angel Taylie was called back to her Heavenly Father. She left her parents Aaron and Kristen Garner and brother Colby of Clearfield; grandparents James and Fern Garner of Clearfield; Lloyd Parkinson of Roy; Suzanne Mendez of Layton; six aunts, one uncle and great-grandparents. Coltran Wednesday, September 21, 2005 WEST HAVEN - Marvin Ward Coltran, 78, died Sunday, September 18, 2005 at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living Center. He was born July 7, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa, a son of Marvin Daniel and Evelyn Metty Coltran. Marvin served with the U.S. Marines Corps and the Navy Seabees during World War II. He worked for the city of Los Angeles, California for many years. Marvin is survived by two sons, Lewis (Beverly) Manfredi, Denver, CO; Fred (Penny) Coltran, West Haven; five grandchildren, Vince, Marcella, Sumer, Stacey and John, eight great-grandchildren, Marty, Kortnee, John, Tyler, Chase, Zackary, Skylar and Ella, and a cousin, Gene Bradshaw, Inglewood, CA. Preceding him in death were his mother, Evelyn Stevens, and his father, Marvin Coltran.
