She was born July 26, 1934, to Vern C. and Reta Rigby Parker. Carol attended Hooper School through Jr. High, graduating from Weber High School and Seminary. She received an Associate degree from Weber College and Henager Business College. Carol married Darwin Jones on July 26, 1967 in the Logan LDS Temple. In 1971, much joy was added to their lives with the addition of a beautiful baby girl, Ann. Carol loved music and enjoyed singing with her six sisters, the Parker Sisters. Before she became a mother Carol was employed at Western Auto, First Security Bank and part time at the Country Club Theater. Later in life she worked at IRS and for Davis County School Lunch Program. Always an active member of the LDS church, Carol held many positions including President of the YWMIA, Jr. Sunday School Chorister, Primary Secretary, President of the Ward Choir, worker of Family History extractions and Church Magazine Representative. She was a faithful Visiting Teacher for much of her adult life. For 17 years she served as Hooper First Ward Librarian. Carol spent much of her life in volunteer service early, working on the State Bookmobile. She was an active member of the Hooper Farm Bureau and served faithfully with the Hooper Horse Show and Tomato Days. Later years have found her serving and really enjoying the Hooper Senior Citizens group. Carol is survived by her husband Darwin, daughter Ann (Sean) Jones and her two grandchildren that she adored, Jacob and Shyann; Sisters Catherine Garner, Florence Allen, Marion Allen and LaRae (Tom) Ewing, all of Hooper. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Genevieve Johnston and Dona Paice Taylor; and her Father and Mother-in-law Edsel and Valeda Jones. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Hooper First Ward Chapel, 5601 South 6100 West. Friends may call on Thursday, September 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 South 1900 West, and on Friday at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Stanley "Bill" Zega Thursday, September 29, 2005 OGDEN - Stanley "Bill" Zega ended his 11 year struggle with Alzheimer's Disease and became whole again on Tuesday, September 27, 2005, surrounded by his loving family and friends at Mountain Ridge where he and his devoted wife have lived for the past four years. Bill was born February 15, 1915 in Phoenix, Illinois, 30 miles south of Chicago - the second oldest of 8 children. He married the true love of his life, Viola Gierucki on June 5, 1943 in Alexandria, Louisiana, where he was stationed before going overseas June 5, 1944. He and his wife have lived in San Mateo, CA; Redmond, WA; Sun City, AZ; and for the last 6 years in Ogden, Utah. Bill was a hard working man with many talents who provided well for his family at many and varied jobs until he retired from his work as a carpenter with the State of Illinois in 1978. Bill served with honor and received numerous decorations for the time he spent in the infantry with the 5th Army in Italy, France, and Germany, during WWII. The Zega Brothers Armory in Harvey, Illinois, was named to honor his 2 younger brothers, Frank and Tony, who were killed 2 weeks apart in Germany and Leyte in WWII. Surviving Bill are his loving wife of 62 years, Vi, South Ogden; his daughter Dr. Nancy Zega, Ogden; his son Ron (Penny) of Scottsdale, AZ; his youngest sister Jo, and brother John, both of Harvey, Illinois. A viewing will be held Friday, September 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., followed by a special service conducted by the Reverend Paul Eagan at 8 p.m. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery outside of Chicago, IL. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff of Applegate Hospice for their loving care and guidance and to the dedicated and devoted staff of Mountain Ridge Assisted Living and The Atrium for creating an environment for the family to experience dad's transition in a mutually supportive, truly peaceful, and loving manner. Jack Hill Thursday, September 29, 2005 FARMINGTON - On Monday, September 26, 2005, our father, grandfather and friend, Jack Hill, ended his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He fought this disease with such dignity and strength. Jack was born October 17, 1932 to Cora Pearl and Melvin Hill. He married Mary Dawson (later divorced). He is survived by his daughter Natalie (Corey) Houmand, and his son Lance (Ruth) Hill, five grandsons, four granddaughters and one greatgrandson. He was preceded in death by his son Ryan. He is also survived by his brothers Dick and Joe Hill. Jack lived an amazing life. He attended Davis High School and then Utah State University. As an All-American half-back for the Aggies, he had great success. He still holds the all time scoring record. He left Utah State to serve a mission for the LDS church in Canada. When he returned he chose to continue playing football and was drafted in the NFL by the Baltimore Colts; however, he signed with the Saskatchewan Rough Riders. After playing in Canada, he was signed by the Denver Broncos, where he played until his career ended due to a knee injury. He was inducted into both the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, and the Utah Sports Hall of Fame. Jack's life included a career in the car business. He was the owner of Jack's Auto Sales. He also continued his passion for football as he coached both his sons and grandsons in Little League. You didn't want to be a referee making a call against Coach Hills team!! Jack loved the game of golf. He was a master of the short game, and was currently perfecting the swing of the future. He has been a member of Oakridge for over 30 years, and his buds from the club were family. Their love and devotion to him will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 3, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Dominguez Thursday, September 29, 2005 OGDEN - Mary M. Dominguez passed away Sept. 26, 2005 in Ogden. Mary was born Sept. 3, 1954 in Danville, IL to Johnny and Blanka Medina. She is survived by her husband of 14 years Johnny; two daughters, Tina and Blanca; two step children, Johnny and Brenda; four sisters, Elizabeth, Ida, Peggy and Maribel; three brothers, Lorenzo, Juan and Larry and ten grandchildren. Also surviving are Johnny's brothers, Dave, Ted and Jake and one sister, Helen. Myrtle Mae Benoit Thursday, September 29, 2005 1924 - 2005 Myrtle Mae Benoit passed away Sept. 20, 2005 surrounded by her loving family. Myrt was born to William and Verna Beard Feb. 12, 1924, Williamsburg, PA. She married Rudolph L. Benoit August 26, 1952. Myrt worked as a waitress 45 years. Mom loved Bingo, Wendover, crochet, music, hamburgers, Dad and her children. S urvived by husband Rudy of Layton, UT; sons, William (Karen) Mills, N. Salt Lake; Rudy Jr. (Carol), Salt Lake and Randy (Jill), Layton. Eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Leonard, Annabelle Carper; brothers, John H. Beard and David C. Beard. Preceded in death by parents, three sisters, two brothers. Memorial services will be held Sept. 29th at Fort Lane Senior Apartments Clubhouse Building F, 4:00 p.m. 300 N. Fort Lane Blvd., Layton, UT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Cancer Society in Myrt's name. We Love You Mom. Mary Mlakar Coulter Thursday, September 29, 2005 Mary M. Coulter, resident of Ogden, Utah, from 1953 until 2002, died August 28, 2005, in New Hampshire, at the age of 91. Born Feb.19, 1914, in Scofield, Utah, daughter of Anna (Vittek) and John Mlakar, she grew up in Colorado. In 1936 she married Forrest H. Coulter and was widowed when he died in 1982. A respected educator, Mrs. Coulter taught in Weber County schools until her retirement. When not traveling, she enjoyed growing roses and being a volunteer in numerous organizations. Predeceased by her husband Forrest, daughter Colleen (1940), brother Matthew, and sister Ann Sandifer; Mrs. Coulter is survived by son F. Warren Coulter, Hollis, NH, daughter Sunee Jarl, Morro Bay, CA, and son Dean M. Coulter, Longmont, CO. There are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held in NH, and burial will be in Delta, CO. Mary Jane Wilson Thursday, September 29, 2005 OGDEN - Mary Jane Wilson, 85, died Sunday, September 25, 2005 at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living in South Ogden. She was born January 27, 1920 in Long Beach, California, a daughter of David Jesse and Gwendolyn Cook Boyce. On September 15, 1936, Mary married Emlet E. Streight in Randolph, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He died January 24, 1969. In June of 1969, she married James W. "Bill" Wilson in Afton, Wyoming. He died January 26, 1990. She had lived in Jackson and Kemmerer, Wyoming; Plain City, Roy, Ogden, Big Piney, Wyoming, and in Ogden. Mary was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. She was dog groomer and raised and bred poodles. Mary was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed gardening, camping, her dogs and quilting. Surviving are one son and two daughters, Michael David Streight, Las Vegas, NV; Evangelyn I. Rees, and Tamara Y. Raymond, both of Ogden; one step-son, Robert Wilson of Big Piney, WY; 22 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 13 greatgreat- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Bohn Leland Streight, four brothers, three sisters, one grandson and one great granddaughter. Daniel Gene Richardson Thursday, September 29, 2005 ROY - Daniel Gene Richardson, 29, returned home to his Heavenly Father on September 25, 2005. He was born August 27, 1976 in Ogden to David and JoLeen Richardson. He attended Clearfield and Northridge High School, graduated from Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Arizona. He married Nicole Wyman on June 4, 2002. He was a chef at Jeramiah's restaurant for about five years before working with his father as a private contractor. He was a member of the LDS Church. He loved golfing, camping with his family, and the firework displays he did in July. But most of all he loved the time he spent with his wife and children. His passing will be deeply felt by all who knew him. Daniel is survived by his wife Nicole and their three children Genni Lynn, Erica Toni, Dakota Spencer all of Roy; his father Dave (Charma) Richardson of Roy; His mother JoLeen (Mike) Hall of Mesa, Arizona; three brothers Tony (Deanna) Richardson of West Haven; Scott Richardson of Mesa, Arizona; and Jason Skeen of Roy; two sisters Melanie (Joe) Peterson of Clinton; and Shelli Terry of West Haven; as well as his extended family. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandmother, as well as some uncles. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2005 at 10 a.m. at the Roy City Cemetery, 5200 South 2300 West. Dusty Dean Fuhriman Thursday, September 29, 2005 Dusty Dean Fuhriman, 22, born July 30, 1983, returned to live with loved ones gone before him on Monday, September 26, 2005. He will be loved and remembered always by his father, Scott David Fuhriman, his mother, Kathy Fuhriman, and his sister, DixyAnn Fuhriman. Dusty attended schools in Cache County prior to moving to Tremonton and graduated from Bear River High School in 2001. He died while participating in what he loved, the pursuit of knowledge in the Agricultural Technology program at USU. He had a love of learning and was well versed in a wide variety of subjects. At USU, he was interested in learning how to turn agricultural products into bio-fuels as an alternative fuel source. Auto mechanics, target shooting, and computers were some of the activities Dusty loved. Dusty had many friends who were the recipients of his kind heart and easy friendship. He will be greatly missed by all his loved ones, including: grandmother, Margene Low of Providence, UT, his grandfather, Newell Dean Fuhriman, River Heights, UT, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Oliver H. Low, his grandmother, Anna Fuhriman, and uncle, Neil Fuhriman.
