Casey, son of E. L. Casey of Walla Walla, Wash., which took place Wednesday at 8:30 a. m. at the First Congregational church. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. John Edward Carver of the First Presbyterian church. The church was decorated in oak brush and garden flowers. The altar was banked with blue delphinium, Shasta daisies and pink hollyhocks, with white cathedral candles in seven-branched candlesticks on either side. The bride wore a gown of white skinner’s crepe, with a train, and a veil caught with orange blossoms. She carried a white Bible, with gardenias attached to a book mark. The maid of honor, Miss Georgia Hopkins, wore pale blue organdie with a blue hat and a corsage of pink roses. One of the bridesmaids, Miss Rebecca Ririe, wore green organdie with a picture hat to match and a corsage of yellow roses. The other bridesmaid, Miss Louise Emmett, wore peach-colored organdie with a hat to correspond and a corsage of peach-colored roses. Dr. L. C. Goodman of Evanston, Wyo., a cousin of the bride, was best man. Ushers were Tillman D. Johnson, Kent Bramwell, John Hopkins and Duane Fredericks. Junior Reynolds and Keith Henderson were ribbon bearers. The bride was given in marriage by Wilbur T. Cook. A wedding breakfast at the home of the bride, 640 Twenty-fourth street, followed the church ceremony. A wedding cake formed a centerpiece for the table, with white tapers in three-branched holders at either end. Summer flowers were used about the house. Assisting the bride’s mother were Miss Alice Dunn and Miss Geneva Farr. Covers were laid for twenty relatives and close friends. The young couple left for Los Angeles just after the wedding and will make a honeymoon trip up the Pacific coast, and then to Walla Walla, where they will make their home. The bridegroom is an attorney of Walla Walla.” File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ut/weber/vitals/marriages/payne3nmr.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/utfiles/ File size: 2.7 Kb
