The Family Bible of Asa T. Hickman and A. Jane (Satchell) 
Hickman - Accomack Co., VA


     The History of this Bible is unknown. It came into my 
posession at the death of my grandfather Vernon Otho East in 
1991. He was the son of George Otho East and Mary (Manie) 
Jane Hickman. So I assume it was passed on to her by her 
father and mother. 

     The Bible was printed in 1884, so we can assume that it 
was maintained by Jane Hickman up to her death in 1894. The 
handwriting seems the same until just before their death. I 
have scanned the pages from the Bible and they are available 
upon request at my email address.
