Prospect: 1938 Research made by Unknown Cemetery Location: Onancock, Virginia Accomack County Levin Joynes Born Jan. 6, 1753 Died Oct. 16, 1794 He was an officer of the Continental Army during the whole of the Revolutionary War having entered the services as Captain in the 9th Virginia Regiment in Jan. 1776 and left as Lieutenant Colonel Commandant in Nov. 1783. During more than three years of this time he was a prisoner of war. He was afterwards a member of the Senate of Virginia. Henry Pearce Eldest son of G. and E.
