Teste: Littleton Savage, C I do certify that the widow Agnes Hogshire has several children. Edmund Curtis I do with the advice of the Council hereby certify that Agnes Hogshire, widow of Robert Hogshire who was a private in the 9th Virginia Regiment and died in the service of the United States is allowed the sum of eight pounds yearly which allowance is to commence from the 1st day of January 1787. Given under my hand as Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, at Richmond, this 1st day of January, 1787. T. Meriwether Signed: Edm. Randolph Ordered that it be certifed that Margery Groten, Agnes Hogshire and Comfort Bloxom were continued on the pension list with their former allowance for the last and present years. It is ordered that the sheriff pay unto Margery Groten the sum of 24 pounds and to John Custis for Comfort Bloxom and Agnes Hogshire the sum of 16 pounds each for their pensions respectively for the years 1801 (crossed out) and 1802, it appearing to the Court that the said John Custis had exepended (expended) the aforesaid sums of money for their support and maintenance. C. 11th Jan. 1806: Comfort Bloxom-26.66--Margery Groten-$40--Agnes Hogshire-$26.66, pension 1803. At a Court held in Accomack County November 25 1805: It is ordered to be certified to the Executive that Agnes Hogshire, late a penshioner of this State now deceased, has departed this life on the first day of October last.
